Enduring - Bug or Not?
Enduring currently reduces stuns when a survivor is rescued from the killer's shoulder via being stunned with a pallet. Is this intentional?
Obviously if this is a bug, I will make a bug report in the correct section. If this is intentional, then neat.

Yes, you are being stun by the pallet not by the survivor being drop.
3 -
I didn't think it reduced the stun in the past, hence my question.
3 -
I believe it did in the past and its intended to work like that.
0 -
You are correct, so either it is a bug or shadow buff.
6 -
There are different stuns ex. 5s DS, 3s Head On.
If you rescue via pallet it's only 2s or 1s /w Enduring and it probably doesn't change the duration if the stun happened while carrying someone.

When it is not mentioned anywhere, I would assume it is a Bug. Because the Stun for Pallet Saves is a Stun of a Survivor escaping the Killers grasp and not a Pallet Stun.
5 -
I think its fine. It should be consistent across both types of pallet stuns.

I'm well aware of this fact; I've played the game for more than long enough. Which is how I know that Enduring never used to affect saving a survivor with a pallet- and, after checking the patch notes for every mention of the word "Enduring", the only related bugfix I could potentially see having this effect is patch 5.5.1 when they fixed an issue causing incorrect stun times when using the perk "Power Struggle". Which then lead me to ask on the Forums for official confirmation as to if this is truly a bug- at which point, I will create an official report- or an undocumented change- in which case, neat.

I'm not complaining or arguing for or against this, I'm asking for official confirmation as to if this is or is not a bug. I don't particularly care either way.
10 -
It never used to do this in the past and now suddenly it does. They either buffed it and didn’t say anything or it’s not working correctly.
3 -
Then why go out of your way to ask the forums? Nobody but the people reviewing the reports could definitively say yes/no, and they need to judge for themselves. If its an undocumented change then it is probably a bug?
I dont think this is the correct place to ask if its a bug or not, this is a discussion channel, so i assumed you thought it was important enough not just to consider sending in a report but also discuss if it should even be titled a bug or not. I dont think youll find a satisfactory answer here.

Because the moderation team, and in particular MandyTalk (the community co-ordinator) looks at General Discussions and can pass the post onto the relevant teams?
4 -
Well, in the words of patrick: you can cut the middle man out there.
0 -
Considering im still waiting on an initial official response to my support ticket from a month ago, the middle man actually makes this process quicker.
4 -
Are they that unresponsive on support tickets? Thats just unfortunate then, thanks for clearing that up.

Over the Christmas period everyone went onto their break (because BHVR treats their employees like actual people and gives them generous breaks, which sucks as a consumer but also I have to respect it) and they're still trying to work through the backlog I believe
1 -
Atleast they dont crunch their employees to hell, I can appreciate that.
0 -
Still present. So, is it a bug or not?

This^. It's a special stun that applies to grasp rescue/escapes by any means: pallets, flashlights, head on, wiggling etc. And it's a fixed lenght.
Those trigger the escape/rescue event, but it's the latter that applies the stun.
Also, with Enduring reduction, you'd be basically out of stun as they complete the drop animation. Definitely not intended.
On a side note, this bug makes power struggle useless if you fall same side as the killer.
2 -
It would be cool of they took this chance to actually keep the perk buffed

press x to doubt

Oh no a random with under 200 posts that I've never talked to before doubts me what a shame
1 -
Why do you think this is a bug in the first place lol.
If anything this is how it should be since enduring clearly says it affect pallet stuns, you are getting pallet stunned so it makes sense to reduce the stun duration.
0 -
Because when a perk does something it never used to do and there is nothing in the patch notes about it doing this, I usually assume "bug" over "shadownerf/shadowbuff" and oh would you look at that the Badham walls that everyone said was a shadowbuff was actually a bug it's mad how these things happen
0 -
I thought it always worked like that, you are getting stunned by a pallet so it shouldn't matter if you carry someone or not.
The perk clearly mentions it reduces a pallet stun duration.

A pallet stun =/= a pallet save
They have always been treated differently by Enduring, hence why I asked if this was or was not a bug, because they still are treated differently (it's not a flat 50% reduction on the stun- more like a 20/30% reduction from what I could see but can't test it myself because I only have 2 devices to play on + this needs 3 players) it's just reducing the stun by a little bit.

Can confirm this is a bug, Enduring is not supposed to work on pallet saves - never has either, it's a recent bug.
4 -
Aight thanks, I'll make a bug report officially on it later today
1 -
no worries, and someone already made a bug report a few weeks ago on it.
1 -
Sick I'll go upvote that one then 🏃
1 -
This is a joke, isn't it?
How far does Devs help survivors?
If even this is not allowed for Enduring, then that perk could give the killer a Haste effect after reducing the palette stun duration.
0 -
bruh
its a bug
wether it benefits survivors or killers doesnt matter
3 -
what
0 -
"How much do the devs help survivors?!" I'm sorry did they not killswitch wake up?
0 -
Enduring has been nerfed so that the effect is only triggered on pallet stun.
It is powerless against DS and Head On.
As it is a palette stun, the stun duration should be reduced.
Wrong decision by BHVR.
0 -
It's also a bug and not an intentional effect. Also, when Enduring was changed, they buffed the stun effect vs pallets.

1st of all, Since when the number of posts is relevant? I could be a guy with only few posts but each post that I did it make perfect sense, 2nd I have other business to do, not everyone has the free time available to wrote posts all the time. 3rd it's a fact since all the reports that I've done (both bugs and reports about cheaters /harassments) were left unanswered (I still have tickets 1 year old unanswered so...)

Wake Up has a bug that crashes killer's game.
So it was applied a kill switch.
Does that have anything to do with it?
0 -
Player report tickets won’t get answered by the support staff as long as all info was filled in correctly..
1 -
So I say it is the wrong decision.
And stun duration has changed from 1.14s to 1s, no longer affects stuns triggered by perks. I do not consider it buff.
0 -
Yes, it does, because it proves that the devs just fix bugs and don't let survivor ones go free while killer ones get fixed.
0 -
It's not been nerfed! Enduring has always worked this way, it's never worked on pallet saves - it was a recent bug introduced.
1 -
Stop confusing a bug that crashes the game with talking about whether or not it is appropriate for a perk effect to be triggered.
0 -
Wouldn't the development team reconsider whether that is appropriate?
0 -
They're both bugs????? And they'll both be fixed????????
0 -
Don't take it too hard /S 😜
0 -
If you can't talk, don't talk.

OK I'm closing this here due to the arguments that seem to want to break out.
For the final time, a bug fix is a bug fix - this was not a shadow nerf/buff...we don't do that, it might be that sometimes not everything gets added to the patch notes, but that's due to human error and not done intentionally to deceive.
If you wish to suggest a change to Enduring then please head over to the Feedback & Suggestions sub forum to do so. However, that's not the topic of this conversation, which was whether Enduring working on pallet SAVES was a bug or not, which it is.
