Who cares about steam lol

Don't worry I have plenty of easily disproven copium on how losing 50% of your playerbase in 6 months is good.
2 -
The game went from 100,000 active players down to fewer than 50,000.
Even assuming the core player base is going to keep playing, you've got to ask: WHY did half the people who got the game to play with Leon, Jill, and Nemesis leave? Retaining your core players is good, but there was a tremendous spike in player interest that went up, then went away.
SOMETHING is wrong with the game, if that many people decide that DbD just isn't enough fun to spend their time on.
SOMETHING ought to be changed or fixed or improved, or the game just isn't going to keep new players onboard.
Maybe you think the game is dying. Maybe you think the game is fine. But DbD had a gigantic surge of player interest and lost it all in a few months. Surely we can all agree: that's not a good look.

Not gonna lie. Looking at steamcharts and saying the game is dying is pretty dumb.
If you actually paid attention. Look at all the games that just came out and updated. Biggest example is elden ring. You really thought that dbd was gonna get a influx of new players? Or ps5/xboxx version of cyberpunk. Or dying light 2. Or horizon zero dawn 2.
Point is: the game isnt dying. People just wanna play other things and then they prob will comeback

I like how you purposely cropped the chart for All Time because it clearly shows a sharp decline at the end of 2021 and a dwingling playerbase that only plays for a handful of days once an update drops in 2022.
Please show the full chart next time and toggle off the last [7 Days] and change in too a larger output like [6 Months].

you do realize the line metric is way more accurate then the %graph correct? the % graph is still stuck in last month. Meaning it's not accounting for concurrent players it's counting past. So yes that was done intentionally. you can simply do that yourself you'll see the playerbase is common with 40k+ around the time of a new chapter release then it jumps back to the normal 40k+ this can all be seen by yourself I don't need to clip it because I've seen it 100 times. You still haven't disproved my point in any way maybe read my comments on here where I've pointed out exactly that lmfao.
Also if you want read the one on this second page right now with dbd still being the top 20 most active games on steam but dying btw.

If the last 7 days during the most hype time in the last 3 months is the most accurate data you want to share we should at least be able to see the big picture aswell.
Its nice to not hide things and you do agree you wanted to hide it.
The game is not going to die but it's more fun with more people, once the hype dies down we may end up with the same slow downward trend.

I never agreed i was hiding it lmfao you can find it yourself you can see it for yourself the 7 days data is more accurate as the other metric is still calculating in early Feb as for the whole line graph that doesn't show much other then growth it shows nothing else there's no loss until you get to Feb but that dip looks normal as it's still above 40k+ LMFAO.
Also you just admitted at the end of your sentence exactly what I said the metric showed so what are you trying to prove lmfao. That same "slowdown trend" is the casual's moving on you can see this with every chapter ever released you see it go lower the month after the chapter is released.

Man wake up, from 60k to 40k, there isnt that much to say, i understand that this game is your life and you hate everyone which says that is dying but thats what it is, is dropping hard and your words wont change it.

Well kinda, i really liked dbd ngl, but now, with all these survivors buff, disregard by developers, cheaters rise etc i dont really consider this game as before.

If you'd actually take more than 1 second to read what I typed, you'd realize it is normal for rises and falls to occur in player counts for literally any online game ever.

The OP isn’t about the game having a problem. You didn’t try to make constructive criticism or feedback or anything like that.
you just said you are happy the game is dying. Which is… one of the most useless threads. And it’s very reasonable to suggest someone should leave if they are so happy about the game dying.

"Look at the steam charts" Lemme look at the charts that only go for 1 of the 5 things dbd is on shall I?
Stop using steam charts

February looked lower than the past few months on the Steam charts, but if you look at the February before it, the numbers were almost exactly the same. Context is important. Maybe people play less video games in February on average for some other reason.

If you don't like the game, instead of hanging around full of bitterness, why don't you uninstall, delete the browsing history and forget about it?
It's good for your mental health you know

I strongly believe competition will kill this game.
VHS,Evil Dead The Game,Outlast Trials
Just a few hyped up titles coming out this year.

Thats only 7 days of data, try showing the last year

You know because you're part of the clowns staff? 🤡

If you read my other comments this has been said 1000 times now 7 days is more accurate then the % graph you can openly select the all option if you choose to do so you'd notice the game has always been above 40k+.

This post gave me a good laugh.

Well 6 months of constant loss of all the playerbase increase from the re chapter isn't really a back and forth cycle but a downward slope. Stil remains to be seen if the trend keeps going or like you say goes back up like in the past.
Looking at the graph for the time since release, the new chapter atleast managed to stop the trend.
Still the ONLY visible stats we have, no?
It proves their point or something. Like "if you need DS all survivor will leave" and the like of over the top statements.

The fact that the game lost all the gained revenue from re chapter over the last 6 MONTHS remains and it remains to be seen if the trend keeps going or goes back up like for other chapter releases before.
The seven day metric would only be useful for huge player losses in a few days but such developments don't happen from one day to another.
