BHVR's lost lawsuit
Some might not know this, but BHVR lost a large lawsuit this month against Bethesda, over using source code from Fallout Shelter in another mobile game they made for another publisher.
I'm wondering how this might effect this game we all love. This could have far reaching ripples in our little pond. For example, BHVR is currently trying to renegotiate deals for cosmetics on DLC killers that are other companies Intellectual Property . Will this mess up that?
How about capital? Warner Bros and Bethesda both probably want to get there's back, how is this going to effect the quality of the servers we are supposed to be getting, and future content updates?
How about future DLC? All those killers the community want. Will this lawsuit hurt the chances to get more famous killers? Keep in mind, Warner Bro's owned the game that was discovered to have stolen code. Media companies might be less likely to work with someone that messed up that bad with another media company.
Anyways, what do Ya'll think?

Well Bethesda should F*ck off with how garbage fallout 76 was, they dont deserve anything. But I guess Gremlins is now off the list for licensed killer concepts5

Lmao it's not like 90% of mobile games are blatant copy pastes of each other with every creator just looking to milk every penny out of them. This lawsuit won't make fallout 76 any less of a flop so Bethesda can absolutely [BAD WORD] off.Eh 76 was fun, played through the entire thing. try to keep the idea of Bethesda studios and Bethesda corporate separate. because Bethesda corporate can go stick a cactus up its *** while the workers in the actual gameplay studios seem to just want to make good games. its the greedy people making the decisions that we hate, not people who are the faces of the company ie todd howard, pete hines. those people don't make the decisions. that being said bethesda is in a horrible state right now and for good reason. not defending them just defending the workers who had to rush a game that otherwise could've been far better

If they had to hand off DbD to a new developer, I wouldn't be that beat up about it tbh

Be careful what you wish for. We wouldn’t want Dead by Daylight being handed off to a company like EA.weirdkid5 said:If they had to hand off DbD to a new developer, I wouldn't be that beat up about it tbh

If that means less-loved characters can get more outfits, I would actually be happy.Might_Oakk said:Cosmetics output now triples to pay off lawsuit

When this sort of thing happens, it is almost always because one lazy guy in development thought he would cut corners and didn't tell anyone that he did it. Blaming all of BHVR's developers and teams for stolen code being found is like blaming an entire college for one student's thesis having a plagiarized paragraph.akbays35 said:This really makes me question bhvr now.

I doubt EA would invest into this game tbh. It might, but it isn't like the microtransactions currently in the game aren't anything more egregious than anything EA would probably put in.

How about the ability to instantly mori the camper or mori the teabagger since "I'd Buy that for a dollar."
