the RPD badge is a troll move in my opinion
anybody using this offering knows full and well that it is to annoy other players for the entirety of the trial. This map is by far the most hated map of all time.

It´s not.
Your opinion is not everyones opinion. I like it when i see the badge.

The only reason I don't like it is the fact that so many players can't be bothered to learn its layout, the map's only RNG is pallet spawns, and you learn the layout of the building after only an hour or 2 of playing RE2, and that version has countless pathways completely blocked off, dbd's version is much easier to traverse.

Layout :-)

Well I’m glad you like it, but it’s pretty rare to have someone actually thrilled to know RPD is going to be the map. For a good reason too.
8 -
Once you get used to the map it's not that bad. It still has it's downsides, but hopefully they still plan to address it soon.
2 -
Right. I don´t really get the hate. I see it is harder for killer but we have been beaten often enough on it.

It's a trolling from BHVR.
1 -
Some people like that map. People are allowed to have opinions, even if they are wrong.
9 -
:-) You get it!

Yeah, close App on that one

I think the map is horribly balanced and poor in DBD but I don't think traversing it is actually an issue.

I really like this map on trapper, it can make for some spicy plays.
3 -
Learning it doesn’t make the map good. Literally played RE2 and the map still sucks ass
4 -
What's wrong with it? I love this map. It's big and a pain for gen defense but you know, that's half the friggin maps in DbD so it ain't exactly unique.
Indoor maps are always my favorite. They fit the horror theme alot better, induce claustrophobia, and make the terror radius a neutral element instead of mostly a drawback.
As for RPD....there's barely any strong loops, antiloop killers slay on this map if they close the distance on you. There's.....3 god pallets I think? Maybe 4? And I think 2-3 good window vaults and that's it. So really only like 6-7 elements of real safety on the whole map.
This build is such a pleasure to play. One of my favorite in the entire game. Silent portalgorgon is pretty much perfect for the map.

I hate map offerings period.

Everytime someone uses this offering the killer dcs during the loading screen for me.

I have never dced on rpd, I have played re2 remake countless times and know the layout, the map is still bad, because even if you know where to go, that doesn't take away that loops on that map are horribly designed, they are either unmindgameable pallets or straight up m1 guaranteed for killer, most fun killer powers don't work in the map and since it has double floors its a huge map, all of that makes it bad without even taking into account the "just learn the layout" argument.

Accurate take. I literally only burn this offering on survivor when I was left to second stage or die on hook by my solo queue teammates in the match prior. Complete with a key and Left Behind or Clairvoyance.
Heck, I’ve been left to second stage or death with Kindred on RPD! And that’s without the key stuff.

The RPD Map needs to be split up into 4 different variants:
- Only the East Wing (top and bottom) and central room
- Only the West Wing (top and bottom) and central room (These two wing variants would be similar to The Game map)
- Only the bottom floor (both wings) and central room
- Only the top floor (both wings) and central room (These two floor variants would be similar to Azarov's Resting Place)

I love the RPD map and I hope it never changes.
4 -
I love RPD.
People hate it cause they can't do sick looping, brah.
Too bad.
3 -
RPD by itself isn't actually too bad. It can be pretty fun, and allows for some interesting dynamics with stealth killers.
If I hear a boon go up, that's a different story.

I am positively neutral about RPD. Not excited when I see it, but optimistic as I kinda like the map.
The most exciting map for me is Midwich.
1 -
I love it as survivor. It has a ton of unique tiles and is one of the few maps where you can link half the map as a massive loop without having dead zones. I'm never upset when I get RPD. Midwich can suck a dick though.

Who cares? You can crash the lobby if they are stupid enough to send you there.
1 -
Exactly. And you seem to believe that because YOU like the map, people also like it. As far as it goes, it seems the majority agrees on the fact that the map is bad.
1 -
It's harder for one side, but you can't understand why they don't like it? What if it's because it's harder?
0 -
My game crashes everytime someone brings that offering, so odd...
2 -
I genuinely like it because I'm a fan of RE and the map itself feels way different from the others which make each trial there feel unique.

BASED
Same my dude, I wish they removed them
2 -
id rather someone use an offering so i can alt f4 in the loading screen then actually randomly get rpd and have to tank the 5 minutes
1 -
I know the layout well, but I am not a huge fan.
That said, it isn't necessarily a troll move to use the offering, as it can be really nice if you are a stealth killer.
If you are a Huntress or Oni, RPD is worse than waterboarding. Just miserable.

Rpd is one of the more interesting maps dbd has to offer. I have better games there than the revered and exalted Coal Tower that everyone says is the best map since the invention of sliced bread.
0 -
Going by this thread other people do infact like it.
0 -
Most hated? It...depends.
If I'm playing Wraith, Hag, Trapper or spoopy Myers, I don't mind RPD. It stinks on other killers though.
I loathe this map on survivor.
That said, there are a lot of other terrible maps. Swamp immediately springs to mind.
May I ask why?
On survivor, this map's layout is so counterintuitive that I still get turned around, gens are annoying to find and a lot of players get lost and people lose hook states.
On killer, this map basically negates any ranged killer and has some very annoying loops.
It's just a bad map.
1 -
Yes and no. I can like the map you can hate it - thats fine.
The only thing is because you hate the map not "everyone or the majority" hates the map - as fact.
Also only if i like the map (and a few other people here as well) i dont´t say "everyone or the majority" (pretty clear) likes the map.
Don´t try to speak for all other people, as you just don´t know.
Also this forum in general is only a limited insight of what the players think sometimes.
0 -
Valid point - you can hate it because it is harder.
But for me i can say that we have been beaten pretty often on this map too by a lot of different killers. So it seem to not be incredible hard for some killers too.
0 -
Because it's not just the forums that complain about it. Even the best players garee that it is bad.
Look, aesthetic wise, I absolutely love maps like RPD, Badham etc., but gameplay wise, they are objectively bad maps. There are so many flaws with them.
0 -
That may be a reason. I don´t play high MMR. So i like it and don´t care if it has flaws.
I also do not think some other maps are so much better. It always depends heavily on your team and the killer. Which is not a new problem.
As i wrote - i have super cool games and real bad ones on RPD.
