Login rewards!
Pretty good if you ask me!

shards are always nice

Login rewards, to me at least, feel like a means to screw with the steam charts to hide the fact the chapter wasnt well received.
16 -
I wouldn't put it past them. Though, i'd like to believe the rewards were planned out months in advance.
6 -
There have been SO MANY log in rewards, bonus BP events, free cosmetics, and so forth since MMR and CoH came out.
Throwing everything at the wall to try to normalize the miserable state of the game, rather than admitting that mistakes were made.
7 -
Last time i checked game had +50k players. So i don't think they are going to for this. I guess reason is game breaker bugs.

I ain't complaining. It gets me to P3 Sadako faster and that's the last Killer I am on to getting P3.

Fantastic, the bloodweb has not been kind to my Yoichi so hopefully this helps
4 -
That's not true. It had a peak of 53K monthly.
It's 30-day average is still down another 1K from February.

Sweet!

I know right!

Calling people as liar is so rude. But okey.
54K people played this game today. 42K right now. Numbers look pretty good.
4 -
Cool. I’ll always take more bloodpoints.
3 -
Que times are bad for survivors, i have fast ques as killer. And don't forget, game has different zones.

I'm not complaining, but this feels like a bit of a backfill attempt after the Ringu chapter didn't really see that much of a numbers spike, likely due to the mediocre design of Sadako and the meh survivor perks on offer.
1 -
And i never said they have good decisions. You are right with your point.

Here.

53K players at last 24 hours. And? I never said game has +50K average players at month.

It is not as terrible as you make it out.
And currently, at least on EU, you will have instant queues as Survivor and longer Queues as Killer. So yeah, Survivor is terrible according to you?
0 -
It’s hella fast rn

Yes, Solo Q is horrible.
1 -
I think they noticed this. After years they finally decided to nerf/rework Dead Hard. But on other hand, they are still making survivorside maps. Eyrie... At least RPD is pain for everyone.

:)

It is, which is the reason why I play Killer when I play DBD alone. I probably did not touch the game as Solo Survivor for over a year.
However, I think this is the reason why the queue times flip in the evening (again, talking about EU here). If someone like me plays Killer over the day and then switches to Survivor with a friend, there is one Killer less in the Pool, but two Survivors more. Meaning, additional 1 1/2 Killers are needed to fill this gap. And this will be happening a lot, because many players have time during the evening, so many Survivors will start playing DBD at this time, because they can play with friends.

fort,
night
i, uh, may be on New Game +2 so yeah i beat it a few times

This map is desert version of Ormond. I don't think any dead zone it has. Big map, so much pallets and quiet safe loops. Strong main building. And ofcourse shack. I am not fan of this map. And they shadow buffed this map. Loops are so close each other now, which makes it worse.

@EvilJoshy You would think with how the developers encourage us to not only play this one game, would make them not care if you took a break from the game. Rather than putting out blood points/ shards, which ill log on for and then quit the game.
You mean the system, Killers have been pleading for since 2017? Good.

the funny thing is it doesn't, steamcharts allows to be precises' enough to know if the players are actually playing or just logging in and exiting, which is why steam charts is useful for grasping how active a community is on MMOs that are on steam.
0 -
I was under the impression if you turn on dbd and immediately turn it off. Steam considers you an "active player". Which is why login rewards screw with the charts.
0 -
Meh I don’t really care what their reason is. It’s free rewards! I’ll take it
0 -
It’s never kind
1 -
So everybody is yellling at free BP due to horrible grind, and now they do it more frequently it is to polish steam charts xD
1 -
players are have to be active within an hour interval, for exemple i just opened the game today to get the login, use the blood points on sadako and closed the game, steamcharts wont count me as an active player since i left before the system could check for me.

I thought things like this were planned months in advance.
1 -
They could have just scheduled the chapter and the login awards to release near the same time. That way even if the chapter was a success or not, they have a safety net.
1 -
We always complain about the grind. I’ll take the bp
0 -
if it’s fnaf it would sky rocket and I’m not even a fan of fnaf
0 -
Solo is garbage to many potatoes
0 -
Damn I’ll check it out next time
0 -
Well this chapters release was also planned months in advance...
1 -
My queue times on either side are pretty quick. Actually quicker for survivor than killer.
0 -
Yeah... I'm not sure what you're trying to say here.
0 -
The new killer has a lot to do with it. I’m actually shocked that people enjoy her
1 -
Monthly average steams been around 35 k for 3 months straight now

This chapter was announced shortly after the release of the last chapter. Very unusual. I guess they expected to build some hype but it didn´t worked out as planned. So they tossed in the login rewards and bloodpoint events to avoid a downward spiral.

Imagine complaining about free stuff
0 -
I love free stuff lmao

Complaining might be the wrong term but these rewards are nothing but a drop in the ocean regarding the grind. 70k, that's one killer match with BBQ and a pudding.
I just recently spend over 5.000.000 BPs to get a specific perk on one of my killers, a drop in the ocean.
But at least we are keeping perk levels in the game...
