That's why I said my agreement depends solely on what the issue is. Regardless companies should always have people in place to fix (or bandaid fix if possible) severe issues on weekends. A company would be smart to do so.

Yes, particularly if working for a major company, your labour is being exploited.

Honestly I'm very critical of BHVR in many ways/aspects but I find a lot of people's behaviour (no pun intended) and responses to this whole situation really unfair.
Mainly with content creators acting like by making videos they can strong arm a response by spreading """awareness""" of an exploit. Yeah, awareness - right. Then when the developers respond and sort the issue out, they get to pat themselves on the back like they did something, shut up honestly.
You make videos on the game you're not the people who actually keep the game running, people talk about entitlement, this is ACTUAL entitlement.
Game breaking bugs suck, nobody will dispute that but making videos essentially advertising it under the guise of """awareness""" just doesn't sit right with me. Never will
Personally I'd like to give credit where it's due, if not for the addition of the killswitch this bug would've stuck around for at least another week given how BHVR handles hotfixes. Whoever had the idea for that, well done and many thanks.

The only kind of emergency that warrants this is something requiring an intervention on the servers.
But they are hosted by Amazon so I'm guessing their contract includes this kind of service as it's pretty standard.
