It's survivor and map dependent. If you get the cube before he does and keep him out of his power then he is just an m1 killer. If there are a lot of corners his m2 is useless.

    Balanced

Engineers Fang is his only problematic addon, even with it's nerfs its still stupid but since it's an Iri and most PH's won't run it, it doesn't ruin his overall balance.

    His anti-loop has meaningful counterplay

His stall/slowdown is something survivors have control over most of the time unless the PH has a good idea of where everyone is (which is usually only at the start of the match)

He’s in a good spot. Just needs to not break his own chains.

He is mostly fine however there are still a couple changes I would make to him.

First, chains shouldn't interrupt the box solve interaction unless he summons the chain himself. I know there is a way to play around this but it's extremely unclear when the passive chains will stop if you don't know how it works and there's really no reason for it to work this way.

Second, he shouldn't break his own chains. It's stupid how he defeats his own power by walking in it.

He's nothing without Engineer's Fang. Being able to break his own chains doesn't help his case either.

The only thing I don't like about him is the chains getting you when you are doing the box.

I will still stand by the fact that he is overpowered.

If able to chain Chain Hunts - deadly monster destroyer demolisher painkiller 3000. If not - ded.

    Sounds pretty balanced to me.

    He is fine as is.

The major problems I've seen with survivors that play against this killer on on the two extremes (Which is what you want to see)

Sadly, newer survivors struggle to juke his ability, and often fall prey to him in chase because they lack knowledge on how to counter him or play against him well in a trial. Sometimes they will attempt to open the box, only for Pinhead to appear and win at chase, because new survivors are still learning.

Experienced survivors often get cocky and are prone to greed - which is often their downfall as a well placed chain ends their tight loop with a deadly result. They are often very cocky with the box and use it as a 'chase me' beacon - or understand to use it only after the killer picks up a survivor. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

The best way to win against a Pinhead is to play things VERY safe - much like Oni.

Don't greed pallets or vaults. Throw the pallets to make the gym more difficult, don't let him get too close in chase or a chain will spell your end.

Also, do what you can to employ stealth, much like a nurse. He needs to see you to hit you - and even his chains need direct lines to stay attached. Break line of sight from him and his chains and do whatever you can to put as much distance between him and yourself, even if it means sacrificing a pallet.

I think he is very annoying and unpleasant to face him and he is not strong, it would be better if he were stronger, but fun to face him

It's like any other ranged killer,

he is way more powerful if you hit hs M2

    I think he's fine.

Solo Q is horrible vs him especially with Ruin. Swf is fine once you coordinate who gets the box. As him his power is hard to control but if you play him enough you'll be fine and probably be very good at predicting where the box spawns.

I think he is underrated tbh.
