To the people who complain about solo q, why not just, ya know, get some friends to play with? The game is easier that way.

Tried to get my friends, four tried during free weekends, two didnt like the grinding, one couldnt run it and the last one didnt like the game. Then there is the problem with playing together, they being newcomers with less than 10 hours me having between 1000 and 2000, then getting paired with Killers who will down them in 20 seconds or Killers who wouldnt be able to land a hit on me in a million years.
This game is almost as newcomer-friendly as an old style MMORPG.
P.D. not being able to bring my friends into this game does not invalidate my complains about Solo, its like saying "hey if you dont like the way your country is going have you tried migrating to another one?".

Should unironically be a low priority. Theres other core issues that should be worked on first. Use an LFG or something.

Not everybody has friends who like DBD.
The gap between SWF and solo is simply too large and it makes it that much harder to balance the game as a whole.

Fixing Killer and Solo experience are part of the same problem, if anyone wants one side fixed must want the other fixed too because you cant buff Killers into SWF levels without them eating Solos alive and you cant put Solo close to SWF without fixing Killer because theyll massacre them.
Unless you only want to stomp with no challenge, of course.

I imagine you just have a couple chronic DbD players on standby for SWF, but what happens when you don't? Do I have to talk some friends into getting the game and SWFing with me? What if most of my friends just don't like that kind of game? What if they just end up not liking it? What if they don't like SWFing? So if I can't talk my friends into it, what, do I just have to go find random people to SWF with? What if I have social anxiety and don't enjoy interacting with strangers? What if I just plain don't enjoy playing with people I don't know?
It's not Occam's Razor, it's just being reductive.

They aren't always online. And it's a hassle to get everyone together all the time. Solo queue is actually good when SBMM doesn't turn itself off for the sake of queue times. That's where my complaints lie

I have no issue with solo q. Its all ive ever played (no friends that play it) I've carried teams and been carried in my years of playing. Plenty of killers to keep it interesting also.

op means join a random dbd group and play with the people in it on discord. Many survive with "friends" groups are just people that want to win and not people that know each other irl.
You might become friends if you play enough together though.

Personally, because I like to play on my own timeline.
I don't want to be on mics, I don't want to have to ready up on others preferences, I don't want map offerings played, I don't want dbd EZ mode.
I like the challenge of solo as well the freedom. I also like to play a lot of killer, and I play how I like to verse.
So while I am all for others fun and support them playing how they like. I prefer, honestly answering, "Solo" when a killer asks if we were swfing?

1: I get tired of hearing my friends complain about how a killer is playing.
2: Survivor is way too easy with friends.
Overall I wish playing as survivor was harder....It's boring. It's why I prefer playing killer now.
Solo is bad because of matchmaking and lack of map awareness. Having an icon to indicate what others are doing would be a wonderful tool (Not aura readings like kindred, that's a lot of free information, maybe like a little gen icon without knowing which gen they are on).

Because I only have 2 friends who actually play this game and both of them aren't on DBD that much because they don't play it that much anymore. That and I don't have many friends in general.

I feel like what you're saying is easier said than done for others like me and refuses to empathize with others. I have social anxiety and struggle with making new friends, not to mention it's not easy getting friends into DBD. There's a reason why I main killer in DBD; it's because I feel more comfortable with playing alone, and killer is a lot more enjoyable in terms of singleplayer to me.
At the same time though, I really want to enjoy solo survivor, but it's just so hard to do so at times. You're either going to get the most incompetent teammates that screw you over, or a 3-man top tier comp team, it's just way too inconsistent.
The solution is to balance solo queue with SWF, then buff killer. That way, it is less of a hassle in terms of balancing. Thankfully, BHVR is trying to do that with those icon thingies.
