Firstly, those terms are so incredibly nebulous that they are essentially meaningless.
I know I get told off for 'tunneling' because some chumbawumba unhooked in front of my face, mid chase. I get accused of 'camping' if I so much as chase someone past a hook.
Secondly, facecamping is something the devs have confirmed is not intended to be as effective as it is. Their mechanical fix was at the internal testing phase, last we heard.
There is a world of difference between using an ingame mechanic to gain an ingame advantage, and trying to rattle people IRL in the hopes that it makes them play worse.
It's like...back in the day, I used to do a fair amount of Kendo. If I knew my opponent had a weak left eye, I'd attempt to stick to his left. That's a legitimate strategy. Calling him a racial slur and making comments about his kids before the match to try and distract him isn't.
It's so odd that I have to explain this.

I get it. You enjoy making other players unhappy in videogames. This is sadly not an uncommon trait.
What's more annoying is that you are trying to justify it.

Oh trust me. It works all the time. Just played the last two games with bubba and nurse and they facecamped me on the first hook

then clearly you haven't played dota, Spamming Loud obnoxious callouts wins games like "Lakad Matatag", distracting people get their attention off of things, screaming at a bear and acting obnoxiously lends their attention to me, away from things the I deem vulnerable unlike killers hitting people on hook, survivors don't get distracted by getting hate it only makes them gen rush faster. It's not the same.

All you've proven is that, yes, teabagging and strobing people makes them more likely to engage in the same behavior that you not only complain about, but use as justification for teabagging and strobing people.

I played DOTA for some years, and that's...not a community I think should be any sort of icon. The OG DOTA community was one of the most notoriously poisonous communities ever.
I also played League of Legends for ages, and the game only really came into it's own once the Tribunal was added.
DOTA 2...never interested me.

I'm saying that your story keeps changing.
First it was 'I act like a toxic little gremlin then lead the killer on a chase for 5 gens, winning the game for my team - which is how I got out of low MMR'.
Now it's 'Well, it makes them facecamp me'.
You need to pick one and stick with it, perhaps? Because this is getting silly.
Killers generally facecamp for two reasons.
- They aren't confident of winning the game playing standard.
- A survivor irritated them and it always feels good to take a bully down a peg.

Obviously? They decided to facecamp me instead of pressuring gens? All other survivors escaped so my sacrifice was totally worth it. I am glad others got out

No, bubba IS the killer used by people who want to facecamp, not the other way around.
If you match bubba, you will be camped, doesn't matter what you do.

Which is it? Are you leading them for a 5 gen chase, or are you getting facecamped? Or are you getting tunneled?
Facecamping Bubba is the current meme, but a lot of people underestimate the facecamping Myers, Trickster or Ghostface.

Sure but the killers that chase you for 5 gens are ones you'd beat anyway regardless. The good ones aren't impacted strategically by a teabag.

Yup. killers with brain cells who went after me usually dropped chase and went for weaker ones. It's cheap way to win but you do you for whatever it takes to win the game. I don't blame yall :-)

How is switching targets to the people doing the gens "cheap"?

If they keep going after and tunneling newbie survivors to get them out of the game, it's almost a guaranteed win. If you get 1 kill by 3 gens, it's almost a guaranteed win. That's why I call it cheap way to win. That's why I like to run 4 man swfs (>= 2000 hours each) because going after someone else wouldn't make any difference

(not sure why my previous comment has been removed) If you target for newbie survivors and tunnel to get them out of your game, it's a guaranteed win. If you get one kill by 3 gens, it's a guaranteed win. That's why I call it cheap way to win. so I like running 4 man squad (each >= 2000 hours of playtime) because killer is forced to commit to chase after good survivors :-)

Like, if you play with SWF, it's guaranteed win and thus it's a cheap way.

I'm going to post, yet again, that I have been sent a mail bomb over this game. They won that particular match, and were so tilted over the fact that I didn't care that they tried to do me serious injury.
That smooth-brained jackhole had the ######### gall to taunt me afterwards about attempted murder--hilariously, that's a crime that gets you put away for a good long while, as they found out.
Do whatever you want, but just know that it both makes you look stupid and puts you at risk. I hope you're taking your online security seriously, chums.

Some people acting like we have to have manners and sympathy towards the other side in a slasher game where they're trying to kill you , yea get a ######### grip Im not gonna insult anyone in the game chat or threaten anyone because that's uncalled for but anything in the match is fair game and I could care less how it makes someone feel because they shouldn't be playing if they're too soft to handle a bunch of pixels humping the ground and pointing at them, and I'm especially not gonna feel a damn bit bad when they have the opportunity to BM me back if I'm caught.
