Propnight/DbD MMR
As some of you may have heard, one of DbD's "competitors" (Propnight) has removed MMR in their latest update about 2 weeks ago. And, who would have thought, this step caused a massive wave of joy amongst the playerbase, because people hated it over there just as much as we do in DbD.
So my question is this: if even a small indie company with a small game like Propnight can see that no one really likes MMR and is NOT too proud to remove it after all the negative feedback, why is BHVR so stubbornly holding on to a system the vast majority of players dislike/hate?
I know the previous emblem/rank system wasn't perfect either, but a PERFECT system judging skill won't ever exist in a game like this. Still, the old one was way better than this MMR one.
Yes, this post is simply just another rant...but it still baffles me, that BHVR can't see what even indie devs have figured out: MMR and asymmetrical games don't go together. Why not just remove it and earn a massive rep bonus?

I would not call this a rant, it's actually pretty interesting that they removed.
But for Propnight, the game is not a big game I believe, when I look at the Steam charts Propnight peaked at 2500 players in March while DBD average at 34000 players. I remember trying the game and the queue times was insanely long. This might've been a reason for them to remove it.
Then again, good for the player base if they are happy with the change.

In last 30 days average players 1090, so yeah a super niche game, no way comparable to dbd.
DbD has a very big casual playerbase and mmr is best for casuals.
Its bad for streamers who earns money playing the game, but for most very good

Well they should remove mm for 3 weeks and then see;
1. What kind of reaction it gets
2. If people want it back or not
