Once again I had to let the survivors bleed out on Midwich...
And there it goes again. Two hooks spawned on the same side of a corridor on the lower floor, one near the middle and one in the corner. No hooks on the rest of the corridor or on the adjacent one. No hooks on the middle outdoor square either, for some goddamn reason. First survivor dies on the mid-corridor hook after his teammates take too long to rescue. After that, a survivor is downed near the corner and the others gather there to save her. With the second one downed, the last one runs injured to the adjacent corridor and I down him there.
I hook one survivor on the corner hook, no hooks available anywhere for the other two. So we all have to wait the bleedout timer to be over before moving on to the next match.
Seriously, things like this are happening almost every time I play on Midwich lately. Right now, it has the absolute worst hook spawns in the game. When is it going to be fixed?

Coldwind, Autoheaven and the Swamps all still have to this day also very inconsistent hook spawns, you have sometimes entire corners of the maps with just 1 single hook in the close middle side which means if survivors die there after you used that hook there is 0 chance to hook anyone near there anymore.
Hook spawns are busted and I had quiete a few games where I had to let ppl bleed out just cuz of that. Honestly I am suprised that the devs do literally nothing about it since years.

Also funny that they did the Map changes to some of those maps already

Midwich especially I end up throwing someone after picking them a lot since there is no hook nearby and you need to to always break 2 doors to find some hooks.

I'm sure they understood and were nice in the end game chat.

meanwhile, on The Game:
Honestly, I wish maps would just be static and everything be carefully hand-crafted. I think the game could be better balanced that way.

I'm waiting for the wave of "You're just bad at hook management" people to say why this is fine.

This seems to be slowly becoming popular. I had some swf's - 3 petrified oak's - Midwich offering - 4 boil over at the weekend.
That's fun 😌

They were probably annoyed, and I don't blame them. It sucks when things like that happen.

I think It could be better If you carro the survivors all the map til he gets out your arm and you hit him again. If he persist, Just drop and wait

Hook spawns are terrible in general

Hook spawn logic doesn't take into account breakable walls needed to access said hooks. You can usually break a wall or two to access a hook, but you won't know that until you've picked up and dropped the survivor, at which point you can't make the hook anyway. It's really annoying.

The first thing I always do on Midwich is break all the walls. I never leave a wall up on Midwich unless I’m already in a chase, they’re all useful to break.

That map has the worst hook spawns (aka the least) for me whenever I play this map. Hate it.

I kind of do it both ways. Break the absolute must breaks. And if a survivor goes down at the end of a hallway, I break those walls before I pick them up. Been burned too many times.

Yeah, just as a general rule the first thing I do on all the maps typically is head to the main building along the way to find survivors and break walls in it. Most walls in main buildings are worth breaking since they either make loops stronger or block paths to hooks. (There are exceptions, it’s kind of crazy to try and break all the walls in Dead Dawg Saloon for instance!)

Well, that would make dealing with hex perks easy.

Huh, I never had an issue with the hooks on Midwich. Outside of the swamp I almost never have issues reaching a hook.

Surprisingly, they said nothing. They probably just wanted to get to the next game for once. Anyway, I apologized in chat with a quick "Sorry. No hooks available". Because, you know, the whole situation sucked.

I almost lost my adept Freddy to this nonsense today. These hook spawns, bruh. Luckily this mmr test is full of potato survivors, so it was easy to salvage. But still.
