no... why? but you can see insane desync like getting hit through fully dropped pallets, through walls grabbed like a sec after letting go of a gen and you ahve 40ms so he is using a vpn... since dbd doesnt match people on EU servers with people from australia do they?

And me giving an example of how to lag yourself out with Discord is not a strawman. It's me saying VPNs are the only way to do it.

What you describe is called getting dedicated. No proof of the killer using a VPN.
Even more so, since the Hit registration is server sided. So even if the killer has a higher ping than the survivor, the server decides if something is a hit or a miss. The higher the ping, the less likely it will register as hit.

"no proof they have a VPN" i know but some killers have really and i mean really ######### ping... you can tell the difference between a 50 ping nurse 100 ping nurse and a 300 ping nurse and DBD wont match you up with 300ms since thats my ping to australia or america (from EU) thats another continent type of distance....

true, but i tried to connect myself to america with a VPN played a match as spirit i didnt even try i got easy hits you could tell i was so far away from them... now i let them go ofc because its a douche thing to do

Then I don't know what to tell you.
Because one of the main factors of VPN is that it's undetectable. So no dev solution from this side.
