These MMR Test are Bullshit
I face the gods of survivors who personaly invented looping in every god damn game, its just frustrating.

Day one test was a lot more chill for me. Most chill games I've had in a while. Day two and three were back to the meta sweat fests.

It was SO BAD yesterday. Every survivor was holding W and literally not making a single mistake. Gens flying as well. This game is really not fun anymore (for killer) I'm not sure why I continue playing it. I just keep holding a sliver of hope that they'll just trash mmr entirely.
3 -
You'll eventually stop getting matched with them.
1 -
Its the same for me. My last game was so terrible that i was thinking about deleteing the game. i want to face survivors i can actually beat and not survivors i dont stand a achance against
2 -
I´ve said it before, and i´ll keep saying it: the issue isn´t the mmr, but the horrible balancing.
Doesn´t matter what survivors you get matched with, when the game is so unbalanced.
5 -
It's been my usual mix of "one of us is getting curb stomped this game". I play baby survivors who have no idea what they're doing (I played a match yesterday where they got ZERO gens done. That shouldn't be physically possible). I also had a match where I got three hooks total.
So yeah, no real difference I noticed

^^^^ This. The game is horribly unbalanced right now, so that is also going to effect the matches. Until that is fixed, it's hard to tell.
But aside from that, I've seen no real difference with the new MMR tests. My survivor games have slightly improved because I've been getting teammates that actually help and do the objective, but as for the killer side nothing has changed.
3 -
The game has always been unbalanced though. That's nothing new. SBMM has just cranked it up ten fold.
2 -
The sbmmr just showed the issues to a broader audience. Which then gave the sbmmr the fault how the game suddenly feels.
4 -
How MMR is not issue?
Play survivor, full meta Nurse or Blight.
Play killer, bully squads and SWF teams.
Before MMR it was not like this. MMR killed fun for me with both sides.
2 -
The audience was always aware of the issues. They've just been concentrated now at high MMR.
1 -
Before the sbmmr, you would get mixed matches. So some SWF sweat squads and some new players with their first match. Some Nurses and some Clowns. At the end of the day, you would lose some and win some. But in a way you wouldn´t feel bad about losing some.
The sbmmr just changed on what "ranks" you would see one thing more often than the other.
You see, when killers don´t get any kills with anything but Nurse&Blight. Then they´ll stick to Nurse&Blight. Same goes for survivors.
Or why do you think many streamers stopped with their streaks or completely stopped playing?
3 -
Well at least now the stats suddenly show how those kill rates are. When before, we had killers with a 70% kill rate. Because they stomped noobs but where not played in red ranks. While now the kill rates took a nose dive.

No it just made the already know issue glorified

day 2 is what I face everyday as killer. day 1 is what casual killers face every day.
day 3 feels like slightly weaker players but still strong survivors.
0 -
How can they be made worse than they already are? It just concentrated them in the high MMR bracket. But the issues themselves stayed the same.

This win streak was not healthy anyway. Otz had +100 win streak with Plague. Dowsey had more with Twins. They destroyed baby survivors.

I meant glorified

I've been wandering if there are actual changes made each day.
Of course there are games where basically, the map wins.
Since the 28th ...
Most games I've got with my good killers were against weaker survivors. (From how they've played.) I've lost one game (two?), against one of the few good groups).
Most games I've got with my average or bad killers were against good survivors. (Again, from how they've played.) I've lost less than half the games, but I had to play "efficient*" for it. They were all awful games and the one I've lost were usually worse. Not because I've lost, of course, but because they were simply a waste of time. (The same kind new survivors had playing against me as Nurse)
*) an euphemism for tunneling with a side of camping.

I died laughing at this. How about you get the devs to make it so killers can freeze survivors and make them unable to move. As for not having a chance you will never learn if you only go up against the easy potatoes that are just watching you run at them. I am not saying its always fun to match against good survivors but you are playing an online game you can't always win.

I love it,that means i'm finally getting matched with players of the same level.
0 -
Exactly. It drawed a distorted image of how "strong" some killers are.

You didnt even read what i wrote. I want a challenge that i can win. Not a challenge i cant win
2 -
We need to be patient till the test ends then I hope we get some solid changes.

Bingo.

day 1 it seemed like mmr was turned completely off. survivors played so awfully that it was barely fun at all. these last 2 days have been better

I did read what you wrote hence I laughed hard at it. Sorry but if you only want to get potatoes then make new accounts if you keep going up in MMR to harder survivors either learn and adapt or again make a new account if you really want to play 🤷. It is not the job of the devs to go oh you can get 4ks with these Potatoes but against survivors who run you can't get anyone we will give them a Potato farm. I do not expect to be given a baby wraith who can't fully uncloak and get an easy win. My point about making survivors unable to run from you was to point out how riduculus it is to expect to always be able to win on an online game. Skill does not equal kill truly. Nor does skill equal escape. If you want to win more then learn and get better. The match making isn't going to make it so you always get easy survivors and for survivors you wont always get easy loopable killers.

I think what roadrunner means is a perceived chance of winning over a sense of no hope of winning, rather than an auto win which is how you appear to have interpreted the comment.
I agree the only way to get out of the "hopeless match" sense is to play out the hard games and get better. I think a lot of players hit a wall though and the mmr does very little to walk you back from that wall once you've hit it.
I mean everyone says lose games and your mmr will go down and you'll get better matches... but lets be real what happens is you curb stomp 2 games, you get 1-2 matches that feel "balanced" then you get stomped for 10 games straight (sometimes more) and think to yourself hey isn't my MMR meant to go down? Why am I still getting endlessly curb stomped?
Now this isn't everyone's game experience but it appears to be enough people's game experience that they are asking "does MMR actually work?"
The fact that its hidden I think further escalates that sensation because everyone assumes they are at high mmr and being mismatched rather than just needing to get better within their current mmr bracket.
Under the old system I could get to the reds if I wanted, but I often found them unenjoyable, highly competitive, full of childish sore losers etc etc, so I could hold my rank around the high greens/low purples and generally have good enjoyable matches. This doesn't mean wins it just means games where I enjoyed the play experience win or loss.
You'd still get bad match ups where you would stomp or get stomped but they were definitely fewer and farther between than under the current mmr system.

Allow me,.... MMR tests in a nutshell.
Streamer: "Man MMR sucks, I wish they would match me against players of my own skill"
Devs: "ok, here's your high MMR, you gotta wait longer to find others who spend 80 hours per week playing and match your skill"
Streamer: "hey wait, this is taking too long to find a lobby and then its all sweatlords, I jujst wanna kick back and have fun whats up?"
then make a YT video
success!

Now we are back to the usual meta sweatfests again..... really liked the mmr test from day 1

That is the most accurate thing I've seen about DBD in a long time, lol.
