I'm still remembering all the awful experiences I had on Hawkins and I hope it doesn't return.

I defended it while it was still with us, I'm consistent.
People were too mean to that map, it was a lot more fun than people gave it credit for.

Yeah, but I have not seen positive comments about Hawkins in this intensity while it was still in the game. Sure, people who are happy with something dont raise their voice, but also when someone was complaining about Hawkins, there were very rarely voices who defended the Map.

The flip side is that those who disliked Hawkins have no reason to post about it anymore, whereas people who do like it now have way more of a reason to post about it.

I liked the map ambience honestly,one of my least favorite because a good killer and bad teammates meant certain death.

Hawkins has been permanently removed from rotation...at the same time as Stranger Things was removed from sale in the store. I do not know where the idea that this map was returning came from, but it's definitely not the case. Maybe you mean Haddonfield?

Yeah, when Hawkins was in rotation it was one of most hated maps by the playerbase, usually considered the worst until Midwich and then RPD took that place.
I hope it will never return in any form.

It was a horrible map made worse with Boons. That map showed how powerful Shadow Step is on indoor maps and how truly broken CoH was on indoor maps.
I only like it for the ambiance and I loved the creepy hooks with the Mind Flayer pissed rats.

Midwich isn't that bad as long as the Hooks spawn correctly. I personally like the map on both sides.......now RPD.....shall have a special place in my heart for all the hatred I have for it.

Hawkins was probably the best of the licensed indoor maps (not like that's a high achievement), but I'm still glad it's gone.
Though I'll admit I'm surprised they didn't just adjust it's aesthetic to remove the Stranger Things references and return it as an additional map in the Lerys realm.

Hawkins was one of my favorite maps in the game. Easily the best indoors map.
Wishful thinking, I assume. That map, along with Yamaoka and Midwich are the few that I'm never sad to go to. The atmosphere, visuals and flow of these maps was/is perfect.

I don't get the Hawkins love. Map looked pretty bland with some interesting rooms but the loops were godawful, indoor maps in general just suck imo

I hope Hawkins never comes back. Every loop was very 50/50 and most pallets were unsafe.

I loved that map. Especially as a killer. I am always hopeful they will bring it back but with a visual change. For example make it a trickster map by turning it into a burnt out record studio or something like that.
Just change the assets in the map but keep the layout.

The map sucked and I'm glad its gone.
If you were a killer with a fun power like blight or huntress you could barely play
Finding survivors wasn't fun since there was barely any LOS meaning you couldn't see survivors far away, scratch marks far away, or crows flying away in the distance
Finding generators was annoying for survivors
Most all of the pallets were played the same boring way where as the killer you just force the pallet drop bait going around one side, forcing them to vault and then they just die
There were a million pallets on the map as well
It was claustrophobic
I could rant about how horrible the map was all day.

or maybe they mean it like a reskin of Hawkins as an original map for a different character (like Blights secret laboratory or Tricksters recording studio)?

It can be your most loved map and one of the most hated maps from the comunity at the same time, when they announced the map was going away there were a lot of people expressing how happy they were about it, you just need to check the amount of "vote up" Aven Fallen post has.

I'm ngl, I love Scratched Mirror on RPD more than Hawkins. It's the only reason I'd play that map. You know the staircase at the east part of the map? I would sometimes vault that window and fall on top of the survivor working on that gen. It's very funny.

I hated it and i'm sure I would hate it now too.
But I miss it. It's something I will never experience again. I don't think about it, but when I see an old video on Hawkins I remember it used to be a thing and... it isn't anymore.

I usually have more success with vanity mirror on RPD. But yeah that is a great jump scare spot.
