counter plauge (impossible)
so im posting the same question ONCE AGAIN WHAT DO I DO AGAINST A PLAGUE WHEN MY TEAMMATES CLEANSE AND JUMP ON A INFECTED GEN 10 SEC AFTER CLEANSING THEY ARE GIVING HER FREE POWERS FREE FREE FREE FREE!! what do i do????? they are cleansing next to the exit gates etc. its a joke i had to body block a mf fountain this game since one of them tried to cleanse 10 meters away from 1 exit gate...
Personaly when i play against plague i NEVER cleanse unless its the end and you can cleanse like cross map from a hooked person or from a exit gate to force her away... should i just spam cleanse if my teammates do it too, what do you do?

accept your lose. some killers can just do that to uncoordinated solo q

"How I defeat good killers when I have a really bad team?"
I think the answer is you shouldn't.

If i face with Plague and if i see my teammates are cleansing, i am just giving up. There is no way to fight against her if your solo teammates are not good.

thats what i mean its a GG its almost like im about to disconnect type of moment

Just take a good team, this is team game and you shouldn't win just by doing everything right as one person.

You can not choice your solo teammates my man. Today i had good games with my friends. And then they left. My first game with solos was terrible. They all tried flashlight save and they all down and died. And then second game was with good team, who rushed generators so fast. MMR is just so weird, idk how it is working.

If your teammates are cleansing and touching an infected gen 10 seconds later then you're just going to lose and it's going to be your teammates' fault.
5 -
There’s no counter for idiot teammates…

You'll likely get sacrificed then.
Don't stress though. It wasn't your fault anyway.

From my experience with Plague survivors just don't respect the corrupt purge like they used to.Plague can turn around games SO fast.

thano plagues literally make me puke

You can't do anything about it. They are literally throwing when they do that

In my experience of playing plague, the survivors lose the game more often because they refuse to cleanse (until it's to late) than because they were "over-cleansing". The whole NEVER-CLEANSE-AGAINST-PLAGUE advice kills more (mediocre) survivors than it saves, imo. That advice does only pay off if all survivors are somewhat competent in looping. But rarely thats the case, usually there are at least two weak links to target, and thats usually enough to beat the whole team.
The advice is also more harmful than good bc. most survivors using it seem to be to stubborn to question that approach even in the most dire situations. They refuse to cleanse even when they are the last standing survivor to save the others, even when the Plague is clearly prepared for this non-cleanse scenario (using Black Incense and/or IF for snow balling), not even consider that cleansing might be more safe bc. it's RPD or something, etc.
Sure, cleansing always can be an equally bad decision, but aggressive cleansing might work out for your team way better than not cleansing at all. Using corrupt purge is not an automatic win for the plague (only when the survs play it dumb), so if you can force it on the plague by using all fountains, thats often a better outcome than playing the whole game half-life. Forcing the Plague to use her Corrupt Purge also allows you to play sneaky against it, a thing you cannot do when infected. Infection is great for tracking / finding survivors, but if the survivors cleanse fast, the Plague loses that tool. I feel it's more difficult for the Plague to play with only corrupt purge than no corrupt at all, given that the survivors play it smart.
Overall, both no-cleanse and always-cleanse games can be difficult / stressful as the Plague, but the latter tends to be more fun overall, for both sides, imo.

There's no counter for dumb teammates

ok thats ur opinion but if you dont cleanse plague is a m1 killer sure you get insta downed but you just play it safe... its that easy and HOW DOES IT HELP TO CLEANSE AND JUMP ON A INFECTED GEN AFTER 10 SEC??? they are literally giving her free powers...
+ its so easy to infect someone that it doesnt help you can puke on gens, winows, pallets, hooked teammates, vaults, lockers etc.

It's always best not to cleanse unless you ABSOLUTELY must. However, once that tide turns - it's best for your team to cleanse as much as possible.
If your teammates are silly and cleansing rapidly, you should as well. If you keep on those fountains, the killer is going to have a hard time chugging the goo fast enough and the power can get reset if they are distracted for long.
But, as said above, there is no true counter for dumb teammates.

If you know that and still plays it, and feel bad for losing by having bad team, you just shouldn't.
killers has literally nothing to do with those problem and shouldn't change anything.

It is matchmaking problem. I am not blaming this killers or survivors; i am blaming BHVR for bad matchmaking.

Well this is a thread about countering her, so there is that.

yea might give it a shot to spam cleanse was a long time ago since i played plague but if we cleanse all pools she gets the power automatically yea? and when she does do ALL CORRUPT POOLS DISAPPEAR or just one?

Doesn’t one automatically disappear if they’re all corrupted??

I was trying to the the daily and kept getting groups that cleansed as soon as chase ended, every single time.
Would be great if I was a Plague player that was trying to do damage with my vomit, but all I needed was some maximum infection hits. I gave up on that daily.

If they all fountains are corrupted all are then pure and her corrupt purge is forced.

Yes, it's pretty dumb to get yourself infected again just seconds after you cleansed. But thats not an issue with the cleansing, but with a dumb move of the player. Throwing the pallet down against a huntress with a charged hatchet is also a dumb move, but you wouldn't say "do not throw pallets against a huntress", right?
About the "free power", it's only really free if you cleanse in the Plagues face, so she looses no time for using the fountain. But thats also just a dumb move, and not an issue with cleansing as a whole. If you cleanse "smart" by using fountains at the edges, and using up fountains faster than plague can use them, forcing her to lose them, she will have a hard time using her power.

what I do is dependent on my team.
ideally if they don't cleanse I wont ether and we will do gens as fast as possible as plague is basically infinite tier 3 Myers where everyone can be downed in one hit but as long as they can last between 30-40 seconds in chase we can rush out gens before someone dies or just as one person dies.
but if they do cleanse I will also cleanse but try and do it at pools no ware near objectives like uncomplicated gens and just play as safe as possible avoiding chase altogether and if plague dose use her corrupt I will immediately hide and wait it out I know its not very fun but sometimes stealth is the best counter especially against snowball killers like plague, oni, nurse etc..

All! Once you drink the last clean fountain, all the red ones go bye-bye :)
She does get her power, and if she already has it active - it becomes redundant.
Sure, she gets her power - but here are your choices:
She has a lot of her power from cleansing teammates and you're constantly injured, she has so many more pools to retreat to if she runs low.
or
You're healthy, everyone's healthy, all of her pools are gone and she has to make her 1 charge of the ability count.

You...find a better team?
By your example, this wasn't a matter of Plague being good or you being bad, it was a team misplaying and the survivor role is a team based role.

Cleansing is fine, so long as the team is coordinated, and cleanses strategically.
I play a ton of Plague, and I've probably 4Ked more "we refuse to cleanse" teams than those who cleanse as soon as they hit the injured state.
As a surv, I will cleanse when:
- My teammates are also cleansing
- Only when I hit the injured state
And that works pretty well. If no one cleanses, Plague has a harder time getting her power, but with four broken survs, she's essentially tier 3 Myers. Not only that, but loud vomiting makes you far easier to find.
Now in the above scenario where your teammates are cleansing then immediately re-infecting themselves, there's not much hope.
1 -
Sometimes you just gotta accept that your teammates will lose your games regardless of how well you play.
Depends on the map honestly. Like Plague doesn't get increase lunge or faster vaulting than Myers T3 gets. And many maps still have really strong tiles that aren't easy to play around as a purely M1 killer. Don't forget Plague is tall and has a smoke effect from her incense. She's very easy to watch over tall walls making it much harder for her to pull off successful mindgames against competent survivors.
This is not to say you should never cleanse, but not cleansing can be much safer on generally safe maps for survivors.

They all disappear and plauge automatically gets blood puke for however long it is if the survivors cleanse the last and final fountain

A lot of people also underestimate how frustrating it can be to charge and hit survs with corrupt purge in loops. It's highly effective in the open, or when a surv drops a pallet (like Huntress), but in loops I'd rather M1 all day, mind games be dammed.
And also don't forget her addons, the apples which increase the default number of corrupt pools, and the iri seal will activate corrupt purge every time a gen gets done. I also love running black incense, which lets you see a surv's aura every time they puke, which when you have all four full infected, is pretty much constantly. If your whole team is fully infected and then you she gets her power, that it the worst situation to be in against her, and it can happen even if no one cleanses.
I personally think it's six of one, half a dozen of the other. And it's super lame when people abuse a teammate for cleansing.

thats what i dont know i know that she gets it but im not sure if all or 1 dissapears since i havent played plague in a few months... if they do
nvm someone said it in another post "I would NOT wait until the game gives you Corrupt Purge, this means that all of your fountains have been used, and it will reset all of them."
its so its gonna free up pools for you to cleanse at, it makes sense too :)
