Let's say the anniversary is original...
If the anniversary really is original, what would you like to see?
There are a ton of possibilities, from a spider killer to a vampire killer, maybe we'll even get the werewolf killer we thought blight was gonna be.
Thoughts?

I want to see any creation they make!
I prefer originals over licensed. Not saying I dislike license, but seeing BHVR's creative works is a lot more fascinating.
Since it's the anniversary, I'm sure they're planning on something big even if it is original.

Honestly I don’t care too much as long as it’s a decent killer with an interesting power. I’m always excited for new content no matter what it is.

I believe there was some kind of vampire-spider killer thing teased in a previous tome entry? Love to see what that's like.

Werewolf or some sort of monster killer would be cool. Demo needs some monster type friends on the killer side.
A map that's not bright.
I'm really hoping it's an original chapter, I like them way more than licensed chapters.

I don't see an original killer topping a licensed killer, especially after Pyramid Head and Nemesis from the last 2 anniversaries. The Hype just won't be there to bring in new players. The only way I could see it compete with the previous years is if it was a big piece of lore dropped on us with this, The Entity itself acting as a killer...Or we get something that has been asked for a long time ago. A Survivor turned Killer.

I completely agree. This Anniversary will show just how much a "newer fan base" doesn't give a damn about any of the DBD lore. Any new faces that play this game, do so because of LICENSES. That's it.

Still thinking about something non-humanoid like a Spider. This would be worthy of an Anniversary Chapter, since they need to create a new model and animations. And being the first non-humanoid Killer would also make the Chapter special.
I really hope for an original Chapter, simply because 3 licensed Chapters this year was at least one too much.
But overall, I care more for the event than the Chapter. Because the Event is actually what they do for an Anniversary, the chapter is just the release during the regular timeframe of around 3 months.

Cant really imagine the devs going with an original chapter cause those dont attract the same amount of players than popular slasher/horror licences. they would have to put much more effort into an OG chapter, cause it would need to be something unique. and they dont have it that much with unique chapters. last try with twins was one of the worst chapters ever.

Honestly Og chapter is bad idea.
Even licensed chapters does not make people to back game. DbD is losing playerbase. And anniversary chapters are good chance to bring them back. But without big name? I doubt it but we will see.

The Anniversary never falls flat, because everyone comes out of the woodwork to return to the franchise - and get tons of bloodpoints!
It's a great event, but I'm less worried about them NOT having a great release and MORE worried that they're going to roll out some massive controversial update that kneecaps the game before the event, which would crash the party for many.
I honestly don't care who the next killer or survivor are at this point. After Ringu, it looks like most people honestly don't. People don't have an appetite for more content, they want to see the health of the game improve.
I'm hoping they roll out improvements as fast as possible. But all it would take is another garbage perk that breaks the meta, a bad press release, a bad map, or a horrendous update to the MMR system and that anniversary event is going to be crickets and curtains.

Either a spider from the Terra Arachna storyline or The Horror from the Chamber of Blood. Day of Night storyline should be the killer while Haddie & Jordan would be the Survivors.

If its original, then its going to be one of the big ones such as a Vampire or Spider. Given its the anniversary chapter, it will need to stand out. The last original anniversary chapter killer was nurse after all.
Would like to see a grim reaper or some kind of dark cloaked spooky killer. Definitely hope its not a robotic bunny rabbit filled with kids.

I would be really happy if it’s gonna be original and finally introduces some of those often/long ago talked about changes (soloq improvements, stuff from the scrapped early game collapse, Mori/hatch they talked more about I think, prestige rewards, and whatever else we are waiting for…)

Hatter from American McGees Alice was pretty creepy and sinister as a villain... or Hatter as a friendly survivor would be fun.
Really wish there were skins as a collection of the various characters from Alice for both survivors and killers. Would be cute☺️
All that aside, I always prefer licensed chapters

I feel like either a vampire or werewolf killer is most likely if it were to be an original chapter.
If neither of those, I think I pirate killer would be super cool.

If it's just in terms of what I purely want, I have one answer: Old timey diving suit. I wrote up a concept a while ago on here for what that could look like, but I adore that aesthetic and would love to see a killer based around it.
