What is up with constant Coldwin maps

Is it me or is coldwin farms insain. My friend got Thomson house 5 times in a row and I got it 3 times. In total I got coldwin 15/20 times today while playing with my friend. That is absolutly insane.

I've never gotten a map do much. Other people getting it alot?

    You're getting farm?

    All I'm seeing is either Gideon Meat Plant or Swamp.

    I get the Swamp a lot I hate it as survivor and killer.

    Omg I thought it was just me!!! I got the farm 4x in a row with no map offerings lmao.

    The problem is the different approach maps have gotten.

    MacMillan, Coldwind, Autohaven - these realms have several base maps each.

    However, the other realms like Yamakoa have only 2.

    Crotus Prenn Asylum has 2.

    Red Forest has 2.

    Backwater has 2

    Eerie of Crows, Medical Theater, Ormond, Badham, Haddonfield, RPD, Midwich, The Game - these are standalone.


    17 maps have more niche appeal, but MacMillan and the others each have, what, 5 maps?

    17 maps belong to 12 realms.

    15 maps belong to 3 realms.


    What this means is that there's a 5 in 32 chance of being sent to Coldwind.

    There is a 1 in 6.4 chance of being sent to that realm.

    This being said - people often also bring map offerings to be sent there more - as the maps usually are larger and have Cowtree, which is a powerful loop for survivors to exploit.


    (Also, from what I understand, Badham is 6 maps - but it's counted as 1 map with 6 separate versions.)

    Coldwind is due to how survivor sided it is, same goes for macmillians.
