Attention! Bored Killer/Survivor Mains: A Challenge.
So I'm going to be doing this as of today, I'm calling it the 'El-Reverso' challenge.
Basically, for the next grade cycle - I'm going to be playing survivor until Iri 1, and only doing dailies on killer.
Naturally, for you ambidextrous folks, this won't do anything - but for me, I'm going to try to get better at a role I'm awful at (seriously, I can barely look behind me without running into a tree) and maybe see how things feel on the other side of the fence?
Anyone else game?
EDIT: If you are, please post what role you'll be taking. Should be a lot of fun if we can get this rolling in any sort of numbers.

I think everyone should do this at least once

I might try this as it will give me something to do in the game right now.

I've tried it before.
It...didn't go well.

If you don't play both roles you're only playing half the game you paid for. With about half a decade of experience I can promise you I'm still terrible at both roles, so just have fun with it.

Do you want some looping guides?

Sure.
I'm a...decent killer, without any false modesty. If I'm on Hag, Artist, Demo or Plague I can usually hold my own.
I'm an awful, awful survivor.

Same.

I'm not playing less because I'm bored. I'm playing less because no matter what I do or try to do - hackers will either hold me hostage or force a DC.

What's with the Hag pfp?
I'm not sure I'll be able to participate, due to me not being able to play DbD for this week and the next one

I would rather save my sanity than play surv tbh

I'm in the mood to play a lot of killer matches :')

Just thought it was time for a change :)

I guess I'll play survivor until I get the Triage achievement. Not really trying to force it, just playing until it's done. But for as much as I'm bored of killer, it's not worth the aggravation of playing too much survivor.

This game is weird in a way to be a better survivor playing killer helps and vice versa

Mm. I'm starting to get a feel for it now (I'm still bad, but at least I'm winning quite a few chases). Playing 800 hours of killer has definitely helped in terms of knowing the maps (although I can't find hexes for the life of me).
Where I'm really struggling is:
- Decisiveness at loops.
- Mechanical control (far too often I'll be looking behind me and run into a trap or a tree).
- Judging distances and rates of speed.

This guide is still relevant. A big tip I would give on survivor is to not rush. You don't need to go full speed ahead at all times. It's better to stop and wait at key points of a loop to see what move the killer makes.
And sometimes it's better to not loop at all and pre-emptively chuck the pallet instead. Always have to consider the risk vs reward. If you drop the pallet with the killer zoned away from the rest of the map, that puts you in an amazing position. If you loop that pallet twice but get zoned out and downed immediately after, it wasn't worth the loops. Always have to factor that stuff in.
