Why not both? More variety is fun for survivors. While more strength is more fun for killers.

Range add-ons are badly designed, so I won't contest that. But it is completely provably capable to evade a Nurse evenly, assuming an even skill match-up. I don't mean any offense by this, but it sounds like MMR is just putting you against Nurses that are better than you are at playing against.

My past survivor games have all been meta-using nurses and blights and I'm so freaking tired of it.

People are trying to learn to play against nurse for almost 6 years now and she’s still overpowered. It’s time for her to get a rework already.

Spirit is strong though but why is she so much more rare than Nurse and Blight even though she’s way more fun than those two?

Another issue that BHVR explicitly mentioned was there just aren't enough players of a given skill level at times. For instance, extremely good players are very rare. So BHVR has two options. Either queue takes literally hours upon hours to try to get an even match for them. Or it gives up and soft-caps their MMR so that they can get a match quicker, even if it means they'd be miles better than the people they will likely be matched with/against. So that could be another factor. There are not many extremely good players regardless, and so they will be shoved into lower-level matches.

I dont think there will be, going by the stats, but i do hope they nerf kavanaghs, torn bookmark and maybe tweak the recharge addons, those overtuned imo. The rest is... alright but in general she needs some readjustment i think.

Beats me.
But then again, i was one of the few people that mained the 2017 version of Freddy. I loved him back then. Can´t stand him right now. So it might be just a general taste thing.

and dont you think the complains are fair? did u see their addons? on top of them being the 2 strongest killers in the game they also have the strongest addons in the game and they always use the top they can (wich is fine, they are there to use) but that doesnt make the experience any better to go against, so of course people complain, or meta squad or imediate loss in SOLO Q... (most people paly solo q, is not fun playing a hopeless game) also people doesnt just complain about nurse and then blight peopel been complaining about both FOR A LONG TIME.

oh but it is tho. everybody knows they are BY FAR the strongest duo in the game, and then Spirit comes in third place...
im not even gonan talk about blight addons wich u know are overpowered like his ring, compound 33, or his new vial...
then u have nurse wich any kind of counter she ever had (she doesnt really have any but if u guessed right) by making edistance is erased with distance addons or double recharge... tthey are op and their addons make the experience unberable. and everything they say is right

There will always be a strongest. That doesn’t mean they need a nerf. Alchemist Ring and Torn Bookmark are the only real major issue add-ons. The basekit killer powers are both completely fine.

-the basekit can be somewhat fine i didnt say they arent, but their addons make them borderline dumb, u just mentioned two and not even his worst but ok.
-they need nerfing cause even if of course for normal logic there will be a stronger one or strongest that doenst mean its fair or balanced, especially with addons...

Oh no doubt. For the longest time in the summer of 2019, on these forums, it was all "nurse needs nerf" for an exuberant amount of posts, and less than a year later she got it, but immediately after that everyone clamored upon "spirit needs nerf" and again the devs catered to it, albeit almost a year later... so not so bad, but seriously... tbh, Blight is very well balanced overall (despite some of his add-ons, which honestly serve a purpose to give him an edge against the higher skilled players), and regardless of this, high MMR/SBMM survivors apparently don't like something that can challenge them at their level, so yeah... once Nurse gets nerfed AGAIN... Blight is obviously next.
The devs say they don't cater to the higher SBMM side of the community, but time and time again yield to the overall survivor communities most vocal claims. This would normally be fine if they didn't focus entirely on the majority of the player base (low - mid SBMM survivors) and actually took both sides into account instead of ignoring one (the High SBMM) over the other (the low-mid SBMM). Seriously, What's Wrong with facing an enemy that's too strong for you unless you get better with your perks and playstyle? What's wrong with a killer that, through their power/nature demands that you change your playstyle up a bit?
Sigh! 2019 had the most updates that favored the killer side, and actually worked towards balancing the game for both sides, but as of 2022 however, this "balance" hasn't been kept in mind by the devs, and again one side is outright dominating the other again. Add in the SBMM system that only rewards the "scummiest" play styles on both sides, and well... "you reap what you sew."
As long as the Devs keep at this pattern, Blight is next on the chopping block, and Spirit is again the next one, followed swiftly by Huntress, Doc, and (Believe it or not) Plague since she defeats the healing meta simply by existing. Obviously, "we can't have killers that defeat any core meta adopted by survivors, if all survivors want to play the same way every match." can we?
EDIT: I may seem bitter, and am jailed (for an April fools joke that too many took seriously) but honestly, you know I'm right. I'm not saying that the devs are inherently "survivor sided", I'm just saying that they have an awful lot of historical evidence to support the fact that they cave into survivor complaints much more than they do killers. 2019 was the best year to play killer, because they actually gave killer complaints about balance their due, and as of now, I feel they should remember that and work towards balancing the game by listening to the killer mains again, over the abundance of the survivors complaints.

I think Nurse is fine. Her power comes with significant restrictions like locked vision and fatigue, plus timing it correctly. I think shes a bit too strong with some add-ons and perks like agitation/starstruck. I do think her triple blink is necessary at higher level against good survivors though.

I like playing against blight and Spirit, you can still win a loop just by dropping a pallet in the right time. but with nurse there's no such thing as winning only survivng long enough that your team doesn't get snowballed easily.

Blight does not need anything changed about him at all… the devs already showed that alchemist ring that is complained about does not get the value the over exaggerating survivors are saying it does. Killers don’t like survivors addons and perks but we have to deal with it so if your one of those survivors out there that hates blights addons my ? To you is why don’t you want competition? There is 2 killers that are balanced actually so leave it be and fight back with all your broken survivor perks and addons or keep them and keep complaining till every killer is beatable for you and avoid competition. I mean man survivors are more then equipped to deal with any killer out there but instead u want easy walk out wind that you guys all get 95% of the time anyway so just deal with losing to 5% of the high skilled nurses and blights and move on to the next game. It’s crazy people act like blight and his addons are powerful when he is one of the easiest killers to counter in the game

nurse have counter ( they are hard but exist ).
spirit … use iron will bruh
blight … meh, use walls … if you can
Thats okay to complain in a community but it’s pretty stupid because there is always an top or high tier in a game.

There's no way bhvr starts to balance every killer, i agree that the easiest way to balance things out is shut down nurse and blight(for blight only the add-ons imo). Nurse needs a new power or to be reworked completely

No they will just go down the list of Killers til everyone of them have been nerfed into oblivion.....wait they already did that to Slinger.....Wraith.....Twins......Trap....wait sorry Trapper is still too weak to be of any use anyway.

That's the mindset even with new Killers. If survivors can't do the normal loop strat with them they are OP and they complain until they are nerfed before they reach love servers.

I blame instant-gratification games. The repetitive no-challenge crap with x-ray vision sold by the big companies has ruined so many people's perception of fun. Nowadays you get an achievement for starting the game.
Thankfully games like Elden Ring have a lot of success, we are not doomed yet.

Fun is a matter of taste. I used to love to play with and against Spirit before her recent nerf. Having to guess what the killer was doing or seeing a survivor do some mental gymnastic to juke you was so fun. Now going against her is meh. She is way too easy to juke as her position is easier to known while she needs survivors to make noise and marks (or walk through grass). I don't see her anymore either.

Blight was actually bad in the PTB. His collision was clunky and too wide catching random hitboxes constantly. It was fixed at release and he's received several buffs since. There's really no hindsight there.

Right I'm playing her now and really her crows require pinpoint precision if you want to hit from a long distance, so I really have been using her power at mid range and been getting better results.

Artist is a good killer but nowhere op. She's antiloop, but her power is a lot harder to use than nemesis for example. She really requires effort to do good and reading/ predicting the survivors

She can seem OP if a player knows how to use her just like Nurse in a way. Baby nurses are not op at all but in the hands of a experienced player then She is OP. No Killer is truly OP (add-ons are a different story) some Killers require a different way to dodge them or run them in a chase. No chase is supposed to be a 100% escape rate, that not how the game is designed for.
I have faced God Tier Nurses and Blights with said add-ons and had times where I survived and juked them, but others where I died and was downed every chase.

the nurse is hard to play against decent survivors in indoor maps because of her cd. if they give her more nerfs she will die.

Once survivors complain about a killer.. they nurf that killer then move on.
what happened to Freddy.. no one talks about him. Apart from a rework.

Lol that’s not the point. When you get good enough with Nurse (an unbelievably overrated skill ceiling) then she completely breaks the game.

Blight is fine, but they'll probably nerf him anyway. I'm already using up all his strong add-ons so that it won't be as painful when it happens.

There's no way to nerf nurse base kit without making her terrible.
