Game Speed
I was thinking about going to bed, but I decided to play one Killer game off-stream.
This was my first mistake. My second mistake was not having my game crash when the Survivors took me to Ormond as Onryo. They did 3 gens in a little over 2 minutes. They had every gen done by the time 5 minutes hit.
My first thought was that they were cheating, but it doesn't sit well with me to assume that, nothing was obvious. But just, holy ######### they were insanely good and I never stood a chance.
First time that I've felt like there was nothing I could've possibly done in a while, sure there were things I could've done different, but nothing that would've changed the outcome. I couldn't commit to a chase, cuz Onryo isn't great at that, but having Boons pop up across the map made it difficult to sustain any pressure.
So shout-out to those gamers, they were incredibly good but man gen speeds are crazy and they slammed the hell out of them, game was over way too fast.

that's called a split survivor spawn

Should have pressured gens

Gen speeds are fine imo. It's maps, Survivor spawns and Generator spreads that need some work to be more balanced

but i'm so bad at hockey :(

Maybe.
But that's three things for BHVR to fix (and they already attempted to fix maps but....yeah) so I figured I'd be realistic

I don't think they tried to fix maps. All they did was make them look nicer, which wasn't even successful imo, Coldwind and Autohaven look worse than before. They didn't really try to balance them, or made them worse than before, like Gideon

Father Campbell's Chapel also plays worse and runs worse than before.
Ormond is the only half-decent rework. And maybe Haddonfield, we'll see.

Annoying I have to run corruption In every build. Unless I just don't care about winning.

Gen speeds are fine.

Especially the 4th test I had only rank 1 survivors with tool boxes and god like looping skills, had poor games with Ghost face and huntress and I had enough so I played few nurse games but I managed to play well .
Nurse is killers equivalent to gen rush, boons, dead hard. God bless her.

Me rn:

Is it just me that finds sitting on gen for 80s so damn repetitive? Sometimes I'll actively seek adventure, go cleanse a totem, help a teammate do their gen etc because sitting on one by myself for ages can be so boring.

Aren't we all

It is boring but dang it I must hold m1 to finish this task because I'm too lazy to look for totems....or help a team mate....or unhook one.....but if I do I won't wait for the Killer to leave or I'll be chased by the Killer and unhook my buddy but won't have BT so I get down and they do as well.
Did I just sum up the state of the Survivor game atm.

Its not the gen speed per se. Sitting 80 seconds on a gen can be very boring. Its that there are only 5 gens and 3 can be completed by the time the killer gets his first hook.
To put this into perspective, survivors completed over half of their objective in the time it took the killer to get a single hook. Compare this to the game starting with only 2 survivors. No survivor would continue this match. But somehow its expected that the killer does.
On a q&a the devs said, that killers shouldn´t feel forced to take gen slowdown perks. Yet we get spammed with different slowdown perks to stack on, because playing without them means a 0k match with 4 hooks at most.
Survivors need additional objectives. But the way the devs implement them, they probably give them another version of Boons (on top of Boons). So i´m not really sure what to propose anymore.

yeah ormond is pretty bad for sadako.
Big open map with good visibility so you cant really hide, really spread out generators and survivors typically spawn split up. Strong central main building with a couple god pallets and a god window + a couple decent pallets/windows.
Edge of map has a few loops where sadako shines like the snow pile ones, but other than that they're all gyms or decently large loops where her power doesnt help much at all.
Might honestly be her worst map. Not 100% on that, but maps that are typically really bad for other killers like RPD she handles pretty well with her teleports and stealth. Maybe cowshed or badham are worse though.

Yeah, increase gen speeds with all these slowdown perks. Makes perfect sense. Kill even more solo survivors and make the game feel like playing against pre nerf forever Freddy with every killer.

You gotta practice harder 🤪
Maybe Patrick can train you, he seems to know the best and most about hockey 😅

Where did he say that? 🤷🏼♂️

Based on first post and their response to me "this is not fine...??"
Or am I blind. I think Im not.
1 -
He never said nerf the gen speeds, you only assume that.
There's nothing wrong with that as it's a human thing to assume something.
There are many reasons gen speeds aren't fine, just take a look at some perks that increase the gen speeds not to mention items and add ons.

Ormond still sucks imo. The main building still sucks, like most main buildings, and Pallets are still pretty dense

I think your second mistake was picking onryo, and "second" is third mistake.
Play nurse, bring good map offering or red mori, don't take anything but slowdowns and selectively pick survivors to play against.
This is how you play "good" in this game.

So you played against better players and lost. And now youre complaining that your skill level isnt good enough for them and see the issue in the game. Typical killer response. Its always the games and never yours fault.

Reading something that is not written, perfect.

Maybe read it again. Thats exactly the meassge the thread gives.

I mean realistically, there was nothing to do about the first three gens.
You can say what you want about the final two. "You should've just facecamped, just play god pallets better" ect ect

One person on one gen taking 80 seconds is fine.
The problem is when 3-4 people are on 3-4 gens, with each one taking 80 seconds. That's not fine.
Gen progress should be slower for every gen being worked on beyond the first. That way, survivors are more encouraged to work as, you know, a team on singular gens, but survivors are punished for splitting their attention and trying to pop 3 gens at once. That would ALSO make the Shrouds make more sense (survivors use 'start together' to knock one gen out right away, while killers use 'start separate' to have split gens progress slower).

1 of the things as well is 99% of the time is that survivors spawn on gens already (can't believe i ever had to search for a gen tho), so the killer immediately starts at a disadvantage.
Survivors spawning on gens is basically the same as a killer who spawns on a survivor if you look at it.
Let the survivors spawn away from gens and have them walk or run to it, that's already a solution to the problem.
A minor solution, but a start at least.

The real shocker is that it took this long and messing with mmr to give you survivors like this.

Oh no, I've had them before.
Mostly on Blight and Nemesis, but that was when MMR worked properly. I even had some forum friends look at my game.
This was just the first in a long time
