Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Why DONT players get banned for being toxic?

I mean... isnt that why [NAME OF FAMOUSLY TOXIC PLAYER HERE] got banned?

If I recall correctly they didnt hack or anything - just played in a way to bully the other players.

Why dont they still do this? I can understand teabagging at a pallet to tilt the killer, etc or try to get them to stick on you. But at the gates where the killer cant do anything and everyone is there? Thats just to be toxic.

Why is toxic behaviour okay when certain people do it? Shouldnt we be against all forms of toxicity?

Edit: Removed name of famously toxic player...

I just nod at people or spin when they teabag me at gates and the endgame chat is nearly always wholesome.

I'll tell you something: most people are just toxic because they think that if they didn't beat you, they'd be taking exactly what they're dishing out.

Toxicity is a very general term and what is considered toxic varies from person to person and how things go. If we punished people for being toxic, everyone would be banned.

Some people think that running certain builds is toxic or playing a certain way that isn't prohibited in game is toxic. There's so many ways to be toxic and so many things that is toxic to one person but not the other person.

IF someone is breaking the rule they will get a ban.

From what everyone has said about the whole situation - they were banned for "toxicity". I just find it a bit problematic that it seems to be one rule for one and one rule for others

Technically isnt everything said online just a matter of pressing buttons? I dont think that absolves some of the things that get said just because its "button pressing". The fact that button pressing is done specifically to have a negative psychological effect should be an issue.

Also, the fact that it seems like its one rule for one and not for others.

(Just to be clear I am not advocating that the person in question be allowed to return. Consistency and clarity would be nice though.)

The fact we're in 2022 and people still are crying about butt dancing, which has been a thing since 2016, is insane, if you're gonna complain about something, please make it something serious like flashlight clicking I mean, people have had actual medical issues because of it people have went into epileptic seizures because of it. If anything could even be argued as toxic, it's that it could seriously kill someone.

Like dude big deal a Survivor Tbagged you big deal you're giving it the power you so desperately don't want it to have if you stopped caring about it and looked at it in a different light you'd find so much more enjoyment of the game.

Lastly, the reason why Behavior doesn't ban people for "being toxic" is the word has no merit anymore whiney players have used it to oblivion, and content creators have "clickbaited" the h, e, double hockey sticks out of it. How anyone takes this word seriously is beyond me. Also welcome to online gaming; you're gonna get BM'd no, matter where you go.

If they banned a famously toxic player for being toxic... It sounds like they do indeed ban you for being toxic.

Recently, I've enjoyed to liken teabagging and jaywalking. It's not a good thing to do but depending on who you ask, you'll get different opinions about it.

Some people don't care if you do it, other people get annoyed but will accept it or maybe point out you shouldn't and others yet will let you know how much they hate you and how bad of a person you are for doing it. Some people will only do it in certain scenarios, and others yet will purposely do it just to try and get a rise out of people. There are also of course, the people who take it way too seriously and blow it out of proportion.

As far as getting in trouble for it goes, it also depends on the place. Some places don't care at all, some will try and push you away from doing it and others yet see it as a big deal worth punishing.

The main point being BHVR happens to be one of the places that cares very little and doesn't seem to think it's a big deal. That might change in the future but for now it is how it is.

They do, but as "toxic" is an inherently subjective term the devs simply have a different definition of it. I've played with people in the past who turned into genuinely toxic people saying vile garbage in post-game chat, and I've seen them get banned after I stopped playing with them.

And if the "famously toxic player" you're talking about is Ochido, he didn't just do toxic stuff. He also abused bugs to take the game hostage, sent his viewers after players to harass them, evaded bans and had some turbo creepy sex pest stuff going on. Him simply being toxic honestly isn't why he's a bad person.
