Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Console Survivor Juking Is out of Control

I play on Xbox and I am so tired of how pathetically easy it is to cheat killers out of a well-deserved hit. It doesn't matter if I know that a survivor is going to juke and I wait to swing specifically because I expect it, all they have to do is stuff their controller down their throat or toss it in a trash compactor and they instantly lose me for several seconds at least. I've gone several chases like this without swinging once, the survivor caught out in the open, only for them to juke me repeatedly until I lose them entirely or have to give up because the gens are nearly done. I'm sure a large part of it is a frames issue, but to be honest there's no aspect of console performance that isn't ######### so I don't know what exactly can be done to address this specific problem. Just here to vent my frustration in large part, and maybe to ask if anyone knows a way to help counteract this problem in-game somehow.

Moving the left stick whichever direction they turn helps. It's still about a 50/50 though. I've yet to see a foolproof tip to counter it.

Move backwards and in the direction they swing

I'll try, but to be honest they vanish off my screen before I can even tell which direction they're turning.

It isn't difficult to hit those types of players once you practice. As a survivor I do 360s, fake 360s, delayed 360s and various other juke techniques. Sometimes they work great but most of the time they work once or twice a match because Killers can track me.

As a killer I also fall for these jukes maybe once or twice a match and then have no problem. It takes practice but also helps to have practice from being the "juker". Try pulling it off as a survivor (mid to high rank only) and you will see how killers deal with it.

The gamepad is not an ideal first person tool, but if you're a console player you should be able to do it with some practice. Framerate is also an issue. My PC is not the best and I have framerate issues, so I just have to suffer through it.

A low Maximum sensitivity together with a low FPS. We're highly aware of this issue.

and maybe to ask if anyone knows a way to help counteract this problem in-game somehow.

    An increased Hit-Detection range could solve this problem on consoles without having to address the performance of the game;

The framerate is crap, that's the main issue. Try cranking you sensitivity

Can you change sensitivity as killer on console? I don't think you can. I have the same issue as the OP on PS4-people just get directly in my face and I can't do ######### about it because they vanish off my screen and dip my framerate. I've started taking a guess on which way they're turning by turning with them before I hit, but usually they're too close to actually hit and then they disappear.

You can, just go to settings and you'll see sensitivity for killer and survivor. Killers are taller then survivors that's why it's harder to see them when you are right next to them, so looking a bit down might help.

The problem on console is the FPS. Sometimes when I attack my screen freezes for a millisecond and I whiff. It's actually easy to counter 360's by using high sensitivity and strafing, but I still whiff because of the frame drops.

OH MAN THANK YOU. I could never find that before!

Also, that's a good point, is that still true on Legion/the Spirit? Because those are the ones who I play the most.

This is what I would do, stop lunging in open territory and just follow them. If they don't try to 360 you you're good, but always assume everyone is gonna 360.

With this in mind, if you see them go to turn, simply stop and walk backwards and face the direction they spun in. On PC this is also how you deal with good 360 users, because the auto hit isn't enough sometimes to hit 360 users if they flick hard enough

was I one of them that juked you cause this sounds like you play dbd with 50 sensitivity, change it to 100 and swing in a 360 to hit them

What I mentioned in my original post still applies. I don't have to swing for them to 360 me. All they have to do is have a seizure when I get close and they vanish off my screen before I can do anything. 90% of the time I can't tell which direction they went either.

You seriously have problems hitting them? Honestly, my advice is run Unrelenting. It's the best perk if you get spun a lot. Or just turn your sensitivity up.
