Why should a killer go easier when a survivor DCs?

I usually will just give them the match. Let them do a bit of farming if someone DC's early. UNLESS they were t-bagging and clicking. Earlier a team was down to only 2 gens and someone dc'd. I just let them have it, though was hilarious. It took them about 4 minutes to come put of hiding because I was putting so much pressure on the gens(they were in a straight line and I was blight).
A de-pip doesn't even really matter tbh. Plus can make for some funny interactions.

To me, it depends on if it was a genuine dc or not.
If i down someone and he dc´s, thats on him, and the rest of survivors have to deal with it. Its just an early kill the survivor gave me for free.
If i think it was a genuine dc, like i am in a chase and someone else dcs on the other side of the map, then i do go easy. I play the game like normal, but i will never hook someone a third time. I will slug until all 3 are down or someone is about to bleed out, then i let them all go.
This way, you have the thrill of a game, get enough points, but i dont get satisfaction from an unearned win anyway, and thats what a genuine dc is for me.

Probably because an game win 3 or 2 survivor since the start is … unfair

If you go easy on a team that has one survivor who disconnected, they would still BM and flashlight click at you. The killer isn't obligated to going easy on the survivors just because their teammate abandoned them.

Do whatever you want. Survivors wouldn't appreciate you going easier on them anyways. They would just believe they are somehow ultra talented, that you are trash, and blah blah blah.
I personally go easier on them because if there is anything in this world more pathetic than a survivor elitist, it is a baby raging survivor elitist who leaves their team to face the consequences of their actions.
But by all means, kill those suckers. They would find something to complain about even if nobody left the game. I am just a better person than them, so I show humility, naturally.

If anything, a DC encourages killers to secure their remaining 3 kills, because their bp and score would have already tanked as a result.

If someone DCs and no one on their team is being a jerk, I let them go and maybe farm a little.
If that is "boring" to you, you are welcome to follow the first guy out with a DC. My game as killer is already ruined, so you do you.

You don't have to do anything different if you don't want to; it's the DC that caused the problem and if it was intentional it was the person who DCed who wrecked it. If it was unintentional things happen.
Personally, when playing killer, I generally just farm and let everybody go. If somebody wants out, they can just point at hook and I'll sacrifice them. The survivors I play against are efficient enough at doing gens that gens will go super fast if uncontested (and, sometimes, when contested as well but that's a different topic). I like getting to farm as a survivor as well if that happens in solo queue but I definitely don't expect it.
But, in any event, the person who wrecked the match was the person who DCed; not the killer. Nobody is under any obligation to play differently if they don't want to.

I actually had a game yesterday where soon as they realised it was Freddy they DC..
so it was me and another survivor.
i tried to make friends with the Freddy considering he’s my main and I love Freddy 🤣 but the person had none of it 🤣 so looped him for quite awhile tried again to make friends lol.
i didn’t want to escape make anything easier I just seen a friend and thought a good time to make a friend 🤣 didn’t happen no way!
although if I was him I would’ve done.

Killers don't need to play a certain way if someone dcs. I personally continue playing my normal way, try and hook everyone multiple times to get bloodpoints. Sometimes I'll give hatch but not always.

I'm aware. My "Farm Mode" is more play seriously until I've got 1 or 2 hooks on everyone, then hassle the survivors for fun and bloodpoints and otherwise don't impede the gen completion too much. That way the more dull part of farming is kept to a minimum. If someone makes clear they want our (pointing to a hook for instance) I'm happy to oblige.
To answer the base question there's really no reason I should go easy on survivors if someone DCs, but I see even less reason why I shouldn't.
The philosophy I've come to is that, since this is a game or should be fun for everyone playing. If someone decides to screw that up be DCing immediately, I can at least make the gameworth it for whoever is left.

Play how you want, you don't NEED to go easy. Just don't be surprised or disappointed when the remaining survivors all decide its just better to throw the match by running straight to you.

Honestly ... If a survivor dcs, then just turn off penalties for everyone else
AND!! If everyone else (remaining survivors + killer) decides to just dc afterward, they should be given priority in the queue.

I will say this, this would be an excellent scenario where voice chat would come in handy.
Survivor DCs
Killer: how do you guys want to play it out?
Survivor 1: Farm?
Survivor 2: sure sounds good to me
Survivor 3: Nah, farming is boring. I'll just go to the basement. Hook me so I can move on to the next one.
Killer: Sure thing. Alright guys, I'll kill that guy and then we can farm for a bit.
Instead, nobody can communicate besides pointing at a hook, which could mean farm or just kill me. A killer can stand in front of a pallet or gen and just swing, but sometimes survivors just run off anyway. It's just dumb. Voice comms would solve so many issues in this game. This would be one of them.

Well cause that is the fair thing to do. Those killers irritate me most who just try hard to kill the remaining survivors when there is still 5 gens left. I usually play very fairly and hook everyone twice and then maybe kill one and then let the last 2 escape and other times give the last one hatch. I want everyone to have good time still cause when my teammate dc early killers usually just try hard and slug people on the ground and everybody dies first or second hook that just sad. I don't want to be that kind of killer but sometimes survivors kill themself in first hook on those situations so then I just try to farm with the last 2. Today I had game where someone dc:t early so then I made clear I was going to farm but then other 2 dc:t pretty soon as well and I let last one to have hatch even thought he pointed that I should put him on hook.

Everyone is sick of sweaty matches, so playing nice when I can reasonably expect the other side to be grateful for it is a pleasant change. I'll only farm if someone brought bps or cake, otherwise I just go out of my way to spread hooks and avoid camping and tunneling.

Wouldn't you rather the killer just kill you and move onto the next match than go easy and make it boring? I guess if you need BP or something I could understand it but expecting something from the killer when they're not the one to blame is a bit silly
