Alternate Game Mode Concepts
These have probably been thought of before, but here are some game modes I'd enjoy.
- Realism mode - Survivors don't get access to aura reading or a Hud.
- Casual - A mode where people are expected to not sweat as much. no way to enforce this, but it'd be nice to have.
- 1v1 - Queue up as survivor or killer, do a chase in a tournament format with other survivors. if you last a minute or more in chase, you move on to the next round. Shards/bp could be awarded based on placement in the tournament. (would also have a realism mode)
- 2v8 - 2 killers, 8 survivors. Double the number of gens, totems, and hatches. (would also have a casual and realism mode)

I honestly would love if they let us do a 2 killers vs 8 survivors or even 2 killers vs 4 survivors lol.

A Perkless mode....
It's simple and removes the annoying "Oh you were using X Perk(s)"
Plus it'll put the base game on blast.... Here's hoping for change

A capture the flag mode would be sweet. Not sure how exactly how you would do it, but maybe 2 survivors and two killers team up. The two killers play defense, the two survivors try to get the flag.

Lights Out mode.
Much darker aesthetics, and a more focused Hide-and-Seek style game and more "unique" hiding spots/lockers.
Likely one hit, one hook, one kill. But perks would need heavy reworks to accompany stealth based gameplay.

I almost went with that for realism mode, but just for survivors. I couldn't think of anything to make the game a bit more realistic for killers other than also not allowing any perks.

Hardcore - No hud, no auras, no red stain.
Blood bath - 12 survivors with 1 life need to survive for 10 minutes before the exit gates open and as many can leave as possible
2 v 8 - Common suggestion
1st person perspective - Survivor mode but in FPP.

I like the realism mode idea.
Im also down for randomizer mode. 5 people go in, and everything is randomized (killer, survivor, perks, etc.) The only control you have is you put in your preferred role and map.

i've been thinking about a battle royale kind of mode.
a mode where a lot of players join into one big map, all as Survivors.
Then a single objective appears somewhere and whoever collects it gets to play Killer (every player has a Killer preselected) and kill everyone else. However, at the same time a new objective spawns in for the Survivors to complete. When they completed that objective, the player playing Killer would be forced out of their role as Killer and back into Survivor and whoever kicked them out of it becomes the next Killer.
Death would be permanent here and the Killers would be able to mori whoever they down straight away (and to make it so they actually do that instead of leaving their victims on the ground, given that no one would heal them up, every Survivor would have built in Unbreakable with infinite usage). The winner of this mode would be whoever manages to rack up the most kills by the end.
as for the final showdown when the game turns into a 1v1, i got two possible ideas:
- hatch spawns and if the Survivor manages to escape, they will be counted as a winner as well.
- both players gain the role of Killer and go into a death battle against one another with whoever wins this battle being declared a winner as well.
of course this needs some finetuning here and there, but i think this idea would play out pretty neatly.
