Best Onryo Addons?
Here is a quick question for someone who has played more than me, since I never see her. And if I did play her it would be hard to gauge which is better.
Everyone says the best addon is the newspaper since it helps her directly in chase, but what is the best other addon to combo it with? I think it's down to Well Water or Mothers Mirror.
I think with Well Water she would be doing the flickering with no red stain still? Or just go with the extra 2 seconds of flickering?
I don't think it's bloody fingernails since people with headphones can hear the projection and just turn around even if you are using it to cut them off.

Newspaper and Iri tape.
The rest are all pretty mediocre.
The one that makes people start with a tape can be useful, but less than you'd expect and it really depends on spawn and TV RNG.

Iridescent Videotape is her best add-on but you can not use it so much because it is so rare. My fav combo is Clump of Hair and Old Newspaper.
Mother's Mirror, Cabin Sign, Yoichi's Fishing Net, Ring Drawing, Tape Editing Deck are good add-ons. Others are pretty meh.

Iridescent Tape is her best add-on.
Bloody Fingernail is also really good. I usually use those two in conjunction and it makes her much more enjoyable.

The one that turns her TVs back on after a manifestation hit, for sure. Otherwise your TVs are off forever.

Don't sleep on the brown add on that makes TV's turn on faster. It may not be best, but it's quite good and useful, and since it's brown it's cheap and plentiful

I love Cabin Sign. It's a budget Iridescent Video Tape, but it reduces the TV cooldown by 12 seconds, down from 100 to 88, which is huge. Combine Cabin Sign with either Call Of Brine or Hex: Ruin and the TV cooldown will never make you lose a Generator

Video Tape is by far the best.
Personally I really like the Ring Drawing that spreads condemned when survivors heal. It means that condemned actually has a chance to be threatening and survivors lose a significant amount of time managing it. It also discourages healing which helps her playstyle.

Ring Drawing, just seldomly hook so they get stacks for picking them up as well as healing to healthy. Other ones don't matter from my experience.

Mothers Mirror, Old Newspaper, Clump of Hair and and Reikos Watch are all my go to's
Well Stone and Cabin Sign are good for Survivors that actually care about turning off TVs
Things like Well Water with Mirror are interesting. Telephone can also be helpful.
Then she just has add ons i don't see the point of like Pinwheel and Mothers Comb

Pinwheel has the strange effect of making survivors hear an ominous noise near a powered TV, as well as cover their screen in static. Not sure how useful it is still but it's definitely spooky. Not sure if sea soaked cloth does that too since I have never seen anyone use it.
Tape editing deck has actually been pretty strong, basically a free corrupt intervention. Especially if you got a huge map to offer with it.
Distorted Photo has been pretty meme tier but actually got me a few unexpected downs. If it 100% "if witnessed" because I was wondering why people were not screaming when I was chasing them sometimes, they actually have to be looking at you ala ghostface. I have found random survivors who were looking at me when I remanifested somewhere which was neat.
Have not found a use for mothers comb yet. Maybe with remote control to have an idea where to chase a survivor with a tape deck?

I have been playing her for weeks and still can't figure out how to make her not terrible lol. The only synergies I can think of are MYC + Fingernails, and Pinwheel + Mindbreaker.
I had some decent success with this one today. Hit and run mostly while trying to save the gens with call of brine. Ring drawing to waste more time with the healing. Would probably be alot better after the CoH nerf though.
Reikos watch is probably my favorite addon for her though, it looks very thematic from the survivors POV and can make tracking her location in chase actually sort of difficult

Iri Tape, Bloody Fingernails, Well Water, Newspaper. Also the VCR. All pretty solid. Iri tape is really strong, but it's an iri. My most common build is the VCR + Bloody Fingernails (two that I think should be basekit), and I do all right for myself.
That said, you must use some combo of her best add ons or you'll have a bad time.

Yeah I finally found a video where you can see the addons from the survivors POV. I wanna say ill be going with Well Water + Newspaper which is what I suspected would be really good in the OP.
Fingernails and Iri tape are good utility but I think WW+N will help you just brute force people down at loops which is more my playstyle. Cutting people off and hitting them from the TVs isn't always super reliable even though it is awesome when it works.

Extends the flicking after she comes out of phase from 4 seconds to 6 seconds. From what I gathered while playing her, you basically always chase while phased until you actually want to hit them at a loop; because it keeps her red stain off + heavier flickering.
Probably best with the newspaper or well water. 6s of heavy flickering while coming out of phase is decently solid. But well water with it lets you do 6s of flickering with 3 of those having no red stain still. It's pretty disorienting to try and keep track of so expect a fair amount of predrops.

Thank you for the explanation. The add on is somehow mistranslated in the German version and causes more confusion than clarity
