Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Scoreboard Post Round Coverup

I'm not seeing rank anymore on the end of round scoreboard. Was it removed? If so, that's some horse manure. They just don't want you seeing the matchmaking system at work. Before, we couldn't see the ranks, I had to apologize to newer players/killers constantly because they'd be matched against four red ranks (a lot of times four rank 1s and 2s). We should be able to see how fair we're matched...or are you getting a lot of complaints about your matchmaking system that you're obviously so proud of?

Grades and MMR are completely separated systems ✨

Yeah, ok. Then why remove the ranks at the endgame scoreboard? Also, you can clearly tell that a killer is new and survivors are not. A brand new killer vs four rank 1s and 2s is clear, just by observing and the scoreboard would verify that. Now we have no way to know if we need to help motivate these people not to quit forever because of their horrible experience

Ranks don't mean anything but time played. I'm constantly low ranked but a very good killer but because I can only play on the weekends my ranks will always be low. All showing ranks did was cause arguments.

Because people can't separate them so they go into the feedback for the mmr tests and go "Well I'm a Bronze 4 killer getting put up against Iridescent 1 Survivors, obviously it's broken."

Also you didn't separate them. Even though the person you commented to said "MMR and Ranks are separate" you still went "It's clear when I'm up against someone brand new or Rank 1/2." That's exactly why they need to take those grades away. People will disregard the entire match and say "I was put up against a higher grade then me" and call the system broken. If they hide it, you can only base it off the match and if you start talking about someone being a certain rank, then they know you're probably lying because you don't know people's ranks.

Grades =/= skill. I go against Ash 4s all the time and they're just as good as some iridescent 1s I play with. They were hidden because people kept thinking that the grades were used for matchmaking and that it indicates skill at all and those are both false.

Because people are still struggling with the concept, like yourself. It's better if they're invisible so this doesn't happen anymore.

Not everythings a conspiracy, sometimes people just don't understand what's right in front of them and so need a little extra help understanding.

How do you know the goal is not to make them quit? Seems like a bit of a stretch given the way they address other issues.

Ah, but seeing “how fair you’ve been matched” wasn’t happening ever since the whole grade system was introduced.

It’s just to stop the very persistent confusion, just like many have asked. Now to replace them with the player characters’ portraits and people might finally realise.

They did that exactly for people like you. People get confused with ranks/grades/mmr. They have nothing in common. Grades are a monthly reward system you gain 'Grades' by playing the game. You dont have to do well because you can't lose a Grade. I watched a new streamer play this game and he said he was doing pretty well because he kept getting matched up against people with "high ranks". Even though he was looking at the monthly reward system instead of the Matchmaking Rating (which is not visible)
