Stranger things is probably gonna come back sometime this year
So the next trailer for stranger things 4 came out and i could not help but think its probbaly gonna come back to dbd. Besides im pretty sure there was a stranger things game that was a huge flop and with there being a new season it would be a pretty great chance for the license to be renewed. Besides its not like the characters are perminantly deleted from the game, its still possible to bring it back. Well this is pretty much my opinion and something that seems pretty realistic to happen this year, especially with the new season.

I think BHVR would need a new contract and would probably need to pay again for the license. And this is most likely not worth it for them, since many players already have the Stranger Things-Content, so they wont buy the Chapter again.
Also, and this is just my personal opinion, if the ST-License Holders wanted to do their own thing and see that it was failing, BHVR should not take them back.

I doubt it. They removed Hawkins, removed the Hawkins offerings instead of just retiring them like they did previous old offerings, took a hit in earnings by making everything 50% off, and put forth the effort to change the names of all the perks even though they were pretty generic names to begin with. The only reason the characters are still in the game is because people actually spent money on those characters. I don't see Stranger Things coming back and I wouldn't get my hopes up for a Stranger Things part 2 because I doubt BHVR would bother with a repeat situation.

I made a different discussion about this and I believe they let it run out on purpose so they could renew the license with different characters, sure you can't buy demo Steve or Nancy , but what about this new spider looking villian and the kids who are pretty much adults now ? How about eleven and Mike as survivors this time? There's alot of possible options for BHVR to milk the cow all over again and not only that but the new season has two parts with part two being released right after what would be the DBD anniversary and part one being right before it, it's not far fetched and it's a genius way to make double the money off of one thing

I do legitimately think it will come back eventually, because Netflix's entire reason for leaving wasn't in no way dissatisfaction with BHVR or DBD, They just wanted to start their own game streaming service which will inevitably flop. I don't think we'll ever get another scenario like that either with a license leaving, considering that option has been there for 6 years and Freddy survived the legal hell he was in for a couple years there, aswell as Bubba who's holders refused to release him on switch for a while (But BHVR has seemingly mended this relationship with all the cosmetics he gets these days).

Honestly I wish it would come back cause I have no cosmetics for any of the characters lmao. Plus demo was one of the most fun killers in the game. Kinda sad new players won't get to experience him unless they get him on the survivor side.
Or I wish they didn't get rid of the cosmetics if we already had rhe characters 😭

I don't see it coming back and respectfully, even if there was a chance I don't see Behavior ever wanting to work with Netflix again in terms of the Stranger Things Chapter they got snaked once doubt it'll happen twice.

Devs can take all the clothes off survivors and play matches as them naked.
They could still be playing at Hawkins right now, but we would never know. If I was a dev, I’d be maining JVoorhees at Hawkins vs everyone in the office n whoever they felt like creating a skin for, n playing as, without patching any of it in for the whole DBD community.
I always wonder what all they’ve created in their private system at BHVR since 2016 that we aren’t/ weren’t ever aware of.

I can see it coming back. The only reason it left is cause Netflix is making their own game, when the popularity of that dies down, Netflix will want the money and sell the licensing. The only reason why I would see it not coming back is if BHVR themselves made the decision that they don't want another Stranger Things chapter.

Honestly, Season 4 releasing is its last chance to return. If it doesn't come back in 2022, I just don't think it ever will. The Stranger Things chapter is one of the game's most beloved chapters of all time. The devs had such great teamwork with Netflix to ensure that DbD did the series justice, and they had a brilliant run together.
I can see them trying to re-negotiate something with us, the players in mind, but the longer we see 0 news on it, the more I think it's unlikely to ever return. I'm keeping literally everything crossed, even if they just allow us to buy the characters and cosmetics once more, I just wanna be able to buy them.

I'm actually really worried about Steve from those scenes in the trailer, feels like his character arch is going from a negative character (not quite an antagonist but you get it) in Season 1 to a hero. It makes sense that his end would be sacrificing himself, and I'm not ready for that at all-

I've long accepted that Steve, Mike and El are all probably dead. This sucks because they are my favorite characters.
I also think Jonathan is dead, just to ######### over poor Will even more.

My heart won't take it. So crazy having been on this journey with them, from a thrilling, sci-fi Goonies plot centred around innocent kids to a full-blown horror, where you're not sure which of your favourites is gonna bite the dust next. I would break seeing any of them die, especially Steve after he's come so far.
Also, I reckon that Nancy and Steve are gonna have some sort of romantic tension now that they're both older and more mature people, especially with Jonathan outta the picture...
