there something strange about people here talking like pro
where came from people who say its always 4k with nurse
i watched streamers considered top mmr in here but survivors wasn't that good
funny thing is, streamers are discussing the skills of console players while playing on pc
anyway when i said 3 years ago that the nurse was ez all-kill ticket, people here said it was skill
there were a lot of people like Orion who said that nurse was normal before nerf
but now? it's awkward to see people say that nerfed nurse is easy, no stress, and free
than how deathslinger,freddy,and wraith nerfed
and billy's addons not reverted yet

It’s like people who call themselves high MMR when there’s literally no way to check. MMR doesn’t give consistently even skill matches anyways, so stuff like usage of meta perks or skill is not indicative either.

It doesn't take much to reach max MMR so getting a lot of back to back 4ks will put you at max MMR. But like you said matchmaking is so random that they might still face low mmr teams if there is a killer shortage.

Said who?

It's been discussed several times, I think something like 20 4ks will have you at max MMR

So... You know how these "facts" become facts?
It only needs to take one person to say it, and others copy the information, and suddenly you have 20 people saying that's how it works.
There is no way to see your MMR, so tell me how people are supposed to know that they are high MMR? There was one info-graph with an EXAMPLE of how it is calculated, but no real information (to my knowledge). There could have been something released, maybe by data miners, but I always will be critical about such information without proof.

If I say I'm high MMR, it's because I'm joking and since I'm goofy 70% of the time it's a backhanded insult to actual tryhards because I'm just messing around. If I'm higher MMR than a tryhard that means that guy dancing around with boxers on his head is better than you and that induces salt.
My actual behavior is to say I'm bottom MMR because if the game goes south I can just shrug and say 'Yeah I've been bad forever.' and if I win I can go 'lol you got beat by bottom MMR.' Who knows what the truth is, I don't but my way of doing things entertains me so we go with that.

That's an easily adjusted number for the devs though. We know what the softcap was at release because it was leaked. We don't know where the softcap is now. Could very well be the same. Or they could adjust it upward over time, "crunch" everyone's MMR and leave it, etc.

Sure, but there are certain signs that you may be playing at a certain MMR.
Survivors with a wide variety of perks, some green/yellow perks or even open slots - you're probably at very low MMR.
Survivors with solid purple perks, mostly meta but not exactly - you're probably intermediate MMR.
Survivors with almost pure meta perks, some known streamers and a lot of SWF groups - you're probably at higher MMR.
A lot of 'known' veterans, tourney players etc. on a regular basis - you're probably nearing the MMR cap.
It's not a perfect estimate, but it still works broadly. It's basically the wind.
You can't see the wind, but you can observe it's effects and make a guess to it's strength based on how the trees are moving or whether your tent is still attached to the earth.
I'm not quite sure what you're saying here.
Nurse isn't that difficult, she just has a high skill floor due to her low base speed, and a correspondingly low kill rate (these numbers are disproportionately thrown off by new players - hence Cenobite's supposed reign of terror).

There are ways to see it.. just not within the games rules.

one of the forum mods revealed it got changed to 2000 but that was a while ago. Could be anywhere now.
