I quitted raging! You 2? Tell me how.

When i started to play DBD in 2020 i nearly raged every second round. till the day my neighbours complained about the noise. That was so awkward, that i decided to calm down. killer camped or tunneled me. No problem, next round will be better. Its a legit tactic for some people and its okay. When i do make mistakes, i try to analyze what i could have make better. Even if i have a terrible evening of gameplay. I feel now more free to play this game and im not this cramped anymore. What about you guys. I would like to hear your stories.

I went and got anger management courses online despite incredible anxiety about any form of professional help. Now I just kinda go apathetic about the game for a couple hours ✨

I've done it when other survivors have teamed up with the killer to get you killed. Last one was a couple of days ago when this Jill that had done nothing the entire game farmed every si gle survivor off the hook. I didn't realise until the killer caught up tk me that she was running around with him.

She'd unhook just to give the killer an additional hook and I found it disgusting so I rage-quit.

When it's killer toxicity, I tell myself that they're are trying to get me to rage quit and I won't give them that, so I don't. And I hadn't done it in ages before that Jill encounter.

I just turn off the game and play or do something else. Even if just a few hours, or days-weeks. Even now I have started to take a break before I start practicing for a tournament. I found that I played my best after a break, and then a couple days of refresher matches - then I take the time to practice until the tournament comes.

I honestly believe the people who get triggered at this game is because they are either not normally a PVP player or they cannot admit their own short comings of skill.

It's PVP you're gonna lose matches, you gonna win matches. Instead of getting triggered, one should analyze their game and make changes to their plays.

I've...gotten better but it's not great still

The counseling I did helped a lot. I think I've said this but I had experienced chronic headaches for almost 2 years that are mostly gone now and did counseling to help. Part was depression (anyone who has ever had chronic pain can attest that it's REAL easy to get into a pit of "will it ever not hurt") and part of it was anger.

His best advice he had given was to use all your senses when things are going bad. For DBD, feel your controller. Look around you. Take a deep breath through your nose. Take a sip of water. Hear the sounds around your house. Basically by focusing on things around you, you "reset" your mind.

I still struggle badly with it at times and to be blunt, I really shouldn't be playing a game like DBD where there are things baked in the game designed to piss you off but I'm not that smart yet :D
