How good is The Cenobite?
I really have been enjoying playing him and I just want to know if he is worth putting in time into him.
It was rough playing him at first (especially on console) but I have improve a lot and have learned where the Lament Configuration spawns on the map. I still have much more to learn.
Anyways, I just wanted to know your guys opinions on him. If he is worth putting in the time, please do leave a good build to try on him. I am still leveling him up and have yet to get every perk on him but I would like to try different builds on him.

I'd say low B.

Well, overall, he is not particularly strong. However, he is one of the best killers that scales with your skill curve. If you put the time in, you should get results that are a lot better than what most m1 can achieve. He is very punishing to play, though.
If you like him, I would do it. If you are looking for a viable killer, I would look elsewhere.

Really good vs solos, less good vs SWFs that are playing to win. Like moreso than usual.

Low C tier

He's Def on the higher end of killers who perform well despite lack of mobility.
Sure he can teleport but at the cost of no potential chain hunts.

Mid B with Impaling Wire. His Antiloop is still meh, even with the Add-on

If your opponets are clueless, hes pretty good, if they have played dbd with the intend to win, hes just meh, not something as bad as trapper but also nothing to be scared if it chases you.

Depends on your point of view.
He's a demon to some but angel to others.

I haven’t tried that add on yet but the Devs should consider making it base kit. It will make chains a bit more stronger.
STBFL sounds very interesting, I look forward on trying that. As for the BBQ part, I disagree. it’s good to beat survivors to the box and keep your chain hunt more active. It’s honestly a solid perk on him.

High skill requirement for low pay off. Worth the time is subjective. If he's fun to you then sure go for it, but even if you play him perfectly against equally skilled high tier survivors you're gonna lose. That goes for like 95% of the killer roster though so it's not specific to him. He still relies on a lot of survivor mistakes to win. You can land chains perfectly and they'll still make the loop making your skilled shot meaningless a lot of the time.
I'd put him in B tier and that's being generous. For reference B tier to me is pretty trash and relies on a ton of survivor mistakes to win.

He is probably hight B tier. Not bad but just not super great either.

I thought you were gonna recommend me to play Spirit. I’ll take this as a yes

Quite good. Probably high B tier, but he is very difficult to play. High skill cap, with his strongest add ons he goes to A tier. (impaling wire, engineer's fang)

I mean I can do that if you want. She's very fun :3

He is pretty fun to play and verse imo. Even if I don’t do well all the time, it is still fun to go for cheeky chain hits.

Cenobite is fine. 🙂 His single target chain isn’t the most powerful ability but his chain hunts are great. Even the purple add on where he knows where his box is and can use it but instead of getting a chain hunt all the survivors still scream but he becomes Undetctable is decent. (No Chain Hunt if he does it but he knows where everybody is and is Undetectable for a while so can get a quick hit or two before it expires. Plus there’s a good chance he’ll spot a survivor heading to the box on the way since he knows where the box is.)

He's pretty bad.
His Chain Hunt is extremely inconsistent, as are his Chain spawns. His actual in-chase power is just a worse version of Clown's bottles.

chains go brr

He can be alright against solo players who can't coordinate the box as effectively. Impaling Wire also makes a big difference in chase.
Against coordinated teams he's not very good.

He can be very good. Or a m1 killer with no power.
All depends on skill. I have been using possessed chain with lots of success even against skilled survivors. But it took practice.
Similarly, the box is great at the very least as secondary objective, which lets you distract them.
I find plaything and pentimento to work very well to add even more objectives to the survivors and overwhelm them.
Those two perks have worked the best for me against skilled teams.

are your survivor counterparts a team or solos? that defines the outcome of the match more than it would for other killers simply due to his kit.

Absolutely worth learning. He's quite strong and can cascade pressure off a single box pickup, but he's not going to be Blight, Huntress or Nurse level. He
Low-Mid 'B' tier for sure. He really struggles on some maps and is a bit one dimensional, but his toolkit at least works relatively well and can capitalize on survivor mistakes very effectively.
However, survivors are starting to get savvy as to spots on the map where they can open the box and be entirely safe when you teleport - dropping you off a balcony or down a hole as you spawn. Haven't yet found a good answer to that.

He is busted against solo queue and super unfun to go against as solo survivor. Against competent SWF on comms he’s fairly weak.
