Could DBD be a tv series?
Title.
Obviously quite a few things would need to change just to allow all audiences to grasp it and it would still need to be done in a creative way but it could work?
Alot of disappearances (people taken into the entity realm) investigations into these disappearances, weird and brutal murders found, weird cult following around a thing known as the "Enitity".
I feel some killers could be really cool, imagine a group of survivors passing what they think is just a dismembered corpse and they walk past if for it to assemble together becoming spirit and then she performs her mori on the survivor at the back, screams at the others and just disappears and reappears picking them off.
There would need to be alot of survivors, and most would die but I think its be kinda cool

Kind of makes one wonder why we do it.

I was going to say, this is probably the closest we’re ever gonna get.

Even the lesser grade of horror flicks doubled or tripled their box office budgets; some in the opening weekend. DBD simply as a series could easily generate 10 seasons. People flock to horror.
Soo much more than just gens n loops.
Well done, in-depth killer/ survivor backstories, alone, makes for extended milkability. Adding in the mystique of the Entity just gives it all a much greater appeal.
By the time BHVR gets around to this goldmine of a reality, there’ll be like 64 killers 72 survivors, thousands of cosmetics n over 400 perks we’ll all have ground ourselves to death over.
A DBD show would be a nice accompaniment
...tho, it’s understandable there isn’t anything grandiose to be excited over on that front, considering how the past 6 years have unraveled

I had an idea for this. There should be like a 2 episode structure where each one focuses on the lore and background of the killer and survivor.

The lore of dbd might work, if they either ignore the gameplay or be rather liberal with the adaptation.
Dont a few SAW movies start with some random schmuck getting killed in a trap? Getting some "tv ready" gameplay could probably only work like that.
But "a town getting engulfed in strange fog" - plot might work. Imagine the setpieces going from realistic to "how the entity copied it"

Yeah it kind of already is on YouTube. Parody there's like what 13 or something episodes.
Just wish they were longer. Funny as hell tho.

I like this idéa about a show. (even a maybe fun animé or tv show with humor as well.) :D
But i think whoever doing it in future must have lot of permissions to use some of killes, i think on Pyramid Head from Silent Hill.
I am still sad after Team Silent is gone, but lets hope they come back because i miss Silent Hill games, i still play SH 1-4 when its under October. :)

Yes!! I thought about this as well and think it is a great idea. Would definitely be a hit on one of the streaming services.

It absolutely could. Just wait for the lore to continue fleshing out, and we'll see what happens.
