Praying for Deathslinger buffs
Dear BHVR,
You absolutely neutered my boy.
As a previous slinger main who has migrated over to artists grateful hands I request that his ADS time gets reduced to 0.25s and have at least a brown reload add on built in.

pls, if you need feedback on him I've already provided a feedback post on what I'd do to him, including add on adjustments and base kit changes. It's sad seeing my boy in this state.

I still to this day don’t understand why they made his terror radius 32m from 24m.. other then that slinger needed to be nerfed. There was hardly any counterplay to how ridiculously fast he could ads and shoot you.

Cuz he could use monitor to reduce his terror radious, turning into a range stealfh killer, this cannot exist, how a ranged killer can be stealfh? Imagine a huntress without the lullaby and useing monitor, the chances you get hit by the hatchet are high

Rework the addons that reduce his TR while ADS??? Hell No.
As a Deathslinger main I like to use these addons on indoor maps with some aura reading build + M&A, it's really fun and they are the only addons that change how you play him, insted of be: Reload fast, Less cooldown, etc. So please. NO.
It's better to combine both addons (reduce TR by 12m) into one, with this will be more room for unique addons like you mentioned.
As buff to his base kit, reducing his TR to 28m and increasing the chain durability will be enough to me.

I've written a lot of feedback into what could be done to make him a bit more interesting to play as including some over the top suggestions such as reducing his TR back to 24m, but giving him a Lullaby that is subtle like Tricker's or Sadako's which could be merely the sound of the rattlesnakes right at the beginning of his terror radius just so Survivors have a warning that he is nearby.
I have also suggested halfing the time he takes to enter ADS while doubling the time it takes him to exit, forcing him to commit to shoots rather and just zoning, but giving him a better chance of reacting in loops. He needs more quality changes such as chain durability or lessening his reload time because I cannot fathom that he takes as long to reload as Huntress while having a single projectile (like yes he can do it mid-chase without needing a locker, but still unlike Huntress you are never guaranteed an actual hit).
He is so painful to play as and I hate it, he was the only Killer I enjoyed playing as since I got the game two years ago. I am having so much fun with Sadako currently, but because most of my matches have been hilariously silly.

- Quick scoping is back
- His terror radius is small again
- Faster reload with slightly stronger chain

quickscoping 100%, it's what made him fun and unique from other killers.

What's the point of reduce his TR to give him a lullaby?
Giving him a lullaby you'll make his kit even worst, because he will no longe be able to use Undetectable and Oblivious effects, removing even more unique aspects from his kit, so please NO.
Idk why people think that Lullaby it's better than a big TR. At least you can remove/reduce your TR with perks/addons/effects, unlike a Lullaby.

just revert his changes entirely.
he was is a great spot prior to the nerfs - in fact, i would even go as far as calling him the most balanced Killer in the entire game.
none of his nerfs were justifiable and should never have happened in the first place.
there is no need to try and screw around with like 50 different mechanics to try and balance him while keeping all the nerfs he got, when he was literally in an almost perfect spot balance wise before the nerf. just revert him to his old self and you got a balanced version of Deathslinger.

Everyone just says revert his changes. As much as l loved deathslinger. As a killer main i will admit. He was very cheap to play.
His whole gameplay boiled down to faking and zoning his power that was god awful to fight. Imagine a killer who can kill instantly and give you absolutely no warning to firing. Huntress and trickster both have windups slinger had none. And he could aim and go back and zone with no Penalty’s was so cheap.
I will admit the TR nerf was overkill I agree it should go back but making him 115% wouldn’t fix anything

He was made more unfun by being given a longer ADS time and faster MS when ADSing. You are actually incentivised to zone more than old slinger because of this.
He should have at least a 0.25s ADS down from the current 0.4. His old ADS was 0.15 so it's a good middle ground for slinger mains and people who can't be bothered to learn a killers counterplay.

And guess what, all the changes did was make faking and zone with his gun more effective.
Quickscoping was never the issue all he needed was to have a longer cooldown when cancelling his power.

Your not wrong for this I agree we should get a middle ground for this that would be great.
Also what you said I agree I can see that a little at a loop I ADS and I chased the survivor the whole time while ads it kind of made him even more of a zoner. I was just pointing out why he was nerfed in the first place

I wouldn't call old slinger completely perfect but he was very close. It's just his overreliance on wardens keys and being able to rapid zone were the only things that needed addressing.
Tbf Idk why they're trying to fix him while taking away all of his identity. Makes no sense to me.

He was very boring to face. However what he needed was changes, not nerfs, which is what he realistically got. He currently needs some good buffs after being gutted so hard.

the reason they nerfed him is actually very easy to explain: Survivors didnt like going up against him. Thats it, thats all the magic there is to it.
So they looked at what people disliked most about him: A: him not being loopable like other killers - removed. B: him being able to shoot their a**es when they werent paying attention - removed. C: him zoning them out and then hitting them - attempted removal, but ended up being his main playstyle after the nerf.
were those things justified? absolutely not. but they did it anyway in the name of "fun" (and failed miserably because he is just as boring to go up against. the only difference is that he is now also extremely boring to play. good job BHVR!)
and in a similar fashion the buffs he got as compensation were laughable. They fundamentally failed to address any of the issues he had prior to and after the nerfs and honestly just added insult to injury.
however, the nerf he got to his zoning (a short M1 cooldown after dropping out of ADS) is actually a change i dont mind - i even think it made him better in a way. I think people who faked his power repeatedly and then went for M1s were playing Caleb fundamentally wrong. While i can see a use for faking his power on longer distances, at shorter distances you never wanted to enter ADS unless you were actively taking a shot in the first place. So faking his ADS over and over in favor of an M1 was actually a lot less efficient that just taking the shot, meaning a nerf that forces people to stop doing this would overall help them getting better with the character rather than relying on a cheesy way to win with him, so i dont mind keeping that one in. though one thing to note here is that i dont necessarly view this zoning as a problematic thing (him being incredibly good in 1v1s was his balancing factor after all), but more of as a cheap tactic that was rather boring for everyone involved.
but there is one thing you said that i have to disagree on:
he was definitely not Add On reliant. Warden Keys made him undoubtedly better, that is true, but as someone who basically religiously played Add Onless Caleb on a daily basis for well over a year i can assure you he certainly didnt need them to do well.

Nahh, he's not nearly as bad as people on this forum would have you think. It's just that now it takes more than one braincell to play him effectively.
I've actually been playing Deathslinger almost exclusively for the past month or so and I can stand my ground just fine against pretty much any team. Not to mention to me he's the most fun killer to play as. Lots of cheeky stuff you can do even w/o quickscoping which honestly felt pretty cheap before. That's just me tho, who enjoys the challenge of going against sweat squads as opposed to stomping on potato teams.
That being said, the TR increase was a bit too much in my opinion. Revert that, and he'd be a pretty fair killer to play as and against.

It's really not as simple as that, his TR was barely part of his overall viability since he benefitted most off of 3 gen defence and good chases, both of which aren't effected too much by a bigger TR. Hence why I don't really care about the TR change.

he just needs revert on his base-kit. He'll still be easy to do generator against therefore lose a majority of his games against strong teams but at least he'll be fun to win chases with.
4.6 is pointless if your gun power is a joke and 30 meter lullaby is even worse than running current M&A deathslinger, so no thanks on those changes.

I don't want him to have a lullaby, but most Survivor mains will persistently argue that a ranged-Killer shouldn't be able to stealth. My suggestion to keep both sides as a possibility is giving him a subtle Lullaby that much like Trickster's and Sadako's is non-directional and very faint just in the same of the rattlesnakes right at the beginning of his TR.
At least we can agree he does need quality changes even if we disagree in this particular matter.

I don't understand why they just refused to give him a lullaby. If he has a 32 m terror radius he should have 115% speed.

Lullaby is even worst than a 32mTR.
At least you can remove/reduce your TR with perks/addons/effects, unlike a lullaby that will always give survivors a hint that you are nearby.
