If you are tired of campers, here is a more constructive solution than insulting the killer
Dbd is not a game of skill, it is a party game. The devs themselves do not fix the cheesy strategies. It is a chill game with gimmicks you can use to try to win, but at the end of the day it was never meant to be for skilled players. Even mmr reflects this (survivors can hide all game, take hatch and become high mmr). The game literally rewards no skill strategies. Why are you even here if what you want is a skill based game when it is a chill party game? This game is meant to have fun, relax and enjoy some funny moments and memes. Here is a list of games that fits you if you are competitive and do not want to lose for something unrelated to skill:
-Literally any single (or mostly single) player game, like Dark Souls 3. In these games, the only player who influences the outcome is you. The same can be said about coop games, since the enemy are just artificial intelligence bots, you will always have a way around their mechanics if you think hard enough.
-Any competitive game like Fortnite or League of Legends. These games were designed for strategy based gameplay and have as little cheesy strategies as possible, or if they are some, make them possible to counter.
There is no point in insulting a killer for using a strategy in a game that was designed for it. Besides, if you insult the killers, it can entertain them or they can block chat & profile messages. But if every survivor that does not like being camped leaves dbd, then the devs have no choice but to change it to save the game (because killer queues might get really long, there are a lot of survivors that hate being camped). But trash talking killers will not bring you anywhere.

The only way to “fix” camping would be to fundamentally redesign the game. It is a strategy this game is balanced around that devs themselves acknowledge and support.

Eh.
I won't insult the killer, but camping is still zero fun to be on the other end of, especially if it's a Bubba, a Ghostface, a Trickster or a Myers.
If a survivor hides all game, they are going to get AFK crows and be destroyed.
MMR isn't perfect, but it's far better than it once was.
There's camping and there's camping. The devs want to get rid of facecamping and I support them in that - so long as it doesn't break the game.

@StarLost I think you are in the wrong game. You do not enjoy strategies that take no skill and are more of a cheesy gimmick, I recommend you try literally any single player or coop game & competitive symmetrical game.
Dbd is a party game, the winning strategies in it were never meant to require brainpower or anything like that.

DBD is not sold as, marketed as, or developed as a "party game."
DBD is sold as "competitive online PVP"
DBD is not even in the party game category on steam.
DBD is sold as "difficult survival horror game."
The party game myth is pushed by survivor mains, but the game is not sold as a casual game at all.

Is it a party game? I'd like your source on that one, because that's not how it's played or how the devs seem to want to balance it (ie. they do want to balance it). Party games tend to be nonsense RNG chaos with very limited, short-term appeal.
It's an APvP game. A team attempts to beat a solo. Nothing about that suggests any sort of automatic 'party game' classification.
If a 'cheesy gimmick' as you put it allows one player to basically grief another player at will (facecamping is basically a way of denying one player the ability to play the game for an extended period) then that gimmick needs to be changed. Party game or no party game.
This honestly reminds me of the people who complained about getting banned from Among Us and Fall Guys for hacking, saying 'lol it's just a party game, why are you taking it so seriously?'.
Even if it's a party game (it's not) - it should still be balanced in a way that's fun for everyone.

It’s extremely difficult to punish reckless facecamping without punishing all other forms of camping, which is why it has been taking BHVR such a long time, as well as scrapping every idea they’ve tried.

So is the insinuation that the killer is camping at the hook to make sure all the other survivors get the clear invite that’s where the party is at? Makes sense… because most of the time, they’ll come.
To say there’s zero skill involvement in DbD is simply wrong.

I agree, it's a difficult problem to solve. The best I can think of is some sort of automatic unhook/BT if a killer remains within the proximity of a hook for a certain period - and they'll be warned if they are getting close to that penalty. Of course there would have to be ways to prevent survivors from abusing this and just leading the killer around hooks during chase, but it's a start.
The thing is - it needs solving. It's absolutely miserable to get facecamped, especially when you have limited time to play and it happens multiple times in a row.
Why?
DbD requires a lot of skill on both roles - at least a hundred hours to even start really grasping the game at a fundamental level.
And I say that as someone who comes from a Starcraft/Starcraft 2/HOTS/UT2004 background as a gamer.

@DrDeepwound yea, but in 2 hours (limit time before refunding is refused), you will almost certainly be camped at least once because low mmr killers use this strategy a lot.
@StarLost if you were not happy with it, you had enough time to leave: within the 2 trying hours, you could easily have left the game if it did not please you, because low mmr killers camp you almost certainly got at least one.
@GoshJosh I never said that, but at this point there are so many cheesy strategies that give easy wins on both sides that this game is not really skilled based.

I'm happy with it.
See - that's the thing.
If people don't like something, they tend to just return it.
If people like something, they stick around and suggest ways to improve that thing.
2 -
You say all that, but stand with it not being an issue?

@GentlemanFridge I admit camping is not fun, but personally I choosed to stay way from the game as much as possible instead of complaining about something the devs are unwilling to fix and admit the game style does not suit me.
@StarLost good for you if you enjoy the game!

@StarLost yea, dbd is definitely a game that requires skill to win.
It takes a lot of skill to bring 4 good toolboxes and pop 3 generators by the time the killer gets one down.
It takes a lot of skill to fake rage quitting as Myers and popping tombstomb on the nearest survivor.
It takes a lot of skill to facecamp a survivor to death with insidious leatherface in the basement.
It takes a lot of skill to bring noed, get a down and then kill everyone with blood warden.
No, dbd is not a skill game, it is a cheese game. Who can bring the better cheese build? Who has the cheesier strategy?

Shrug.
Those 4 toolboxes aren't going to diddly squat if you go down instantly. Hell, you could completely krangle yourselves if you speedrun yourselves into a 3gen.
That Myers play both requires a fair amount of ingenuity and a blisteringly stupid survivor. And well done, you lucked into a 1k.
Yes, facecamping is a problem. That's why the devs are trying to fix it. As it stands though, you can generally slam out gens fast enough for only 1 person to die. Plus, you have to catch them first and catch them fast - which on some maps, especially as a Bubba, can be difficult.
If you're getting Blood Wardened into a NOED play, you've misplayed horribly and opened the gates before everyone was ready.
Yes, DbD is a skill game. The best builds and addons won't help you win against a sufficiently skilled opponent. Hell, I'm intermediate at best and I've beaten SWF genrushers before.
There is actually a good amount of skill that goes into both roles.
Killers need to learn the tiles, learn to mindgame the tiles, learn how to predict survivor movements and locations, learn to prioritize when to chase, when to peel off, when to pressure and when to slug. Survivors also need to learn how to run tiles, how to counter-mindgame, how to abuse the killer's FOV, how to 'spin', etc. And that's before we get into more advanced mechanical tricks like flicking and techs.

Yeah, they keep calling it a casual game, but they also want to talk about balance while they're playing at a casual level.

If you're really being camped that often and tunneled that often, use anti-camp and anti-tunnel perks. DS, BT, Guardian (Babysitter) Kindred, Kinship (Camaraderie), and more. People don't want to use them for some reason.

Killer strategies arent designed for the game. Theyre game flaws, devs arent able to fix properly which ended in havong various band aid perks you have to run to get a slight chance on playing the game as it is meant to be.

Camping and tunneling must be removed. Devs should redesign hooks as the PH's cage.
However, gen speed need to be adjusted and BT/DS/DH should go away as well.

@StarLost only a potato survivor will go down instantly. If the survivors are even remotely good, this will not happen, even if he just runs and predrops every pallet.
That Myers play was not hard to do, I did it a lot of times and then it was an easy 3v1. Most survivors do not like being bored, so when I faked rage quitting and was in t2, it was easy.
NOED and BW is not even hard, just down one person and then you can BW.
If you want I can record some matches for you.

Wait...remotely good?
So you mean...remotely skilled?
Which is it? Does this game actually have a skill component or not?
And yes, you're probably facing very silly survivors.

If you want a skill based game, you need to play a 1v1 game such as a fighting game. Sorry, but playing against AI and getting carried by a team are not exactly competitive, unless you play in tournament, of course. I am not saying those games cannot be enjoyable, but if you have beef with DBD, moving over to Fortnite is not going to help, bruh.
