Sbmm got re enabled and...
Isn't this enough data? People can't even say that it's going back to normal numbers because it's doing down to hell

Sbmm wasn't even disabled lol
It just got adjusted day for day to gather data and look into the feedback we gave.
But yeah... and what do you want to say with this chart?
It says literally nothing we're on the same average player amount as 2020 and 2021 besides the Halloween event. Halloween is always a gain and lose for dbd because people are coming during the free trial.
35k players on Steam only isn't even that bad. And then you still have to add all players from PS, XBox, Switch, Stadia, Windows store and epic games sooo yea but game is DyInG....

The devs are too stubborn and egoistic to remove sbmm lol, even though sbmm made them bleed players. But we playing hockey anyways so.

SBMM was never off, but who cares right?

Say it withe me... This game is on 6 other platforms (or 8 if you count both Sony and Xbox's two gens the game is on) besides Steam.

They better remove it or those numbers will go down nostop

Is your point that there were more people playing with the mmr tests? Because there were more people playing on 9th and 10th than on 11th, 12th, etc? Don't you think this is because 9th and 10th was a weekend? Huu...

This is always the excuse I hear when this gets brought up.

It says that the game is bleeding players and has an abysmal player retention rate.

Steady negative increase!

Stay on target

Unless you have a really good reason to assume that the other platforms are not following Steam's freefall, please understand you don't really have a point here.

Or maybe it's just a six year old game so attrition is expected after a while? Not many six year old games have 35-40k concurrent players on Steam. (There's a couple but it's definitely an exception. In terms of other games that came out 6 years ago DbD is on par with Civilization VI for players in the Steamcharts.)

gotta make sure those numbers reach 0

There was a news article recently talking about the millions of daily users on this game:
Fifty million total users. Two million daily.

SBMM hasn't been disabled, at least not recently. The game has been losing players for awhile, it got a really big boost after the Resident Evil chapter, stayed up for around a month, and has been losing players since.
If you were referring to the end of the matchmaking tests when you said that MMR got re-enabled there still wasn't a big change after that happened. You're looking at the monthly gain / loss. If you go up and look at the graph showing the player count in the last month you'd see this,
which shows no significant change in players since the tests started.

Riiiiiight. Dead by Daylight has more players and more daily logins than FF14 or Overwatch or CS:GO. I've never read more PR bullshit in my life. 🤣🤣

Why wouldn’t it? You like the game.

So what? I also like Paladins, but it doesn't have more players than those games, either. Just because I like a game doesn't mean I'm going to believe their spin. For example, I noticed how they clearly stated "two million players logging in every day," and not unique players or users. That could make a significant difference in how their count is achieved.

I see the argument has gone from 'it's just going to the Pre-RE numbers!' to 'It's just going back to 2020 numbers'. I wonder how long until we're 'just going back to 2016 launch numbers'
