DC is back

Apparently DC penalties are enough for people to load into a game and just DC.

1st game We all escaped

2nd game two of them allowed to the killer to down and hook them 3 times

3rd game all escaped

4th game an immediate dc

5th game....

When are better punishments than a few minutes going to be introduced?

I suspect I know why certain solo survivors are dc'ing at this time rather than when their friends return but this is exactly what was happening yesterday

Instant DC's were never truly gone. And probably never will be.

A short timeout isn't really a punishment and more a light slap on the wrist.

And even permanent bans like in lol have never truly stopped people from showing their "best" side when anonymous and often the games are even free and new accounts easy to set up.

With the current hacker situation I’d rather them keep it the same

DCs have picked up heavily recently probably due to the state of the game more than anything, solo q is in a horrible state right now as well so there’s that.

I found switching to killer made it better, least that way it won’t have much effect on you if survs dc.

Even I’ve had to dc as a survivor a few times due to cheaters, I wouldn’t usually but sometimes they hold the match hostage, think the game timer needs to end sooner than whatever it already is, last game I swear nearly lasted an hour..

DCs happened a lot the past easter days in my matches.. As soon as I sent my first round of birds across the map in many matches at least one Survivor left the game..

Experienced the same with Plague quite often.. Fun fact: usually the Survivors that DCs against Plague ran CoH.. I see a connection but that's just an assumption..

Right. There is something clearly wrong with the game that players just don't want to play. We should punish them more. That will make them enjoy playing the game more.

Dc'ing the forum due to hyperactivity of mods. I think I got punished earlier this month but I wasn't around to see it. I'll have to pay closer attention.

You mean like getting chainsawed 15 seconds into a match?

I land a nice chainsaw around a crazy loop and bam DC.

Don't blame the game because someone rage quits after getting downed.

Penalty is still on and the amount of time scales with how much they DC. So if they DC too often due to hurt feeling then they can go play something else.

It's something clearly wrong with the players.

If they ragequit because they're losing; that's not a game issue. It's an attitude issue. And no game in the world can fix that.

DC’s are going to get worse in low-mid MMR with the GF & Legion buffs. I had 3 ppl DC in back to back Legion games out of frustration. They weren’t even on final hook smh. I feel sorry for our members who always voted either one in the “Which killer do you hate the most?” threads.

honestly, my suggestion to fix ragequit DCs is, 2nd DC on, add a temporary value to the MMR. if they are ragequitting then, then having to deal with even more competent people until they stop doing so would be a good lesson. Also, had at least 5 DCs in 3 matches today, with one insta-down ragequit leading to two more leaving the match immediately, then solo DCs in 2 more matches.

Players that DC should be paired with others that DC. Penalties stays in place. Either they experience what it feels like being left behind or they force to eat another timeout.
