What would you guys think of Monika from DDLC was the next Killer?
Let's say BHVR manages to secure Monika (or Yuri) as the next Killer on Dead by Daylight; would you be for or against it? Also, would do you believe her perks would be?

I just don't see how it would even work to be honest, the games just simply don't fit each other, sure they have dark themes but that's not enough to make crossover out of it

As a big fan of the game, I've actually thought about this for awhile.
I don't think any character; even Monika, would work as a killer. None of them are really killer material. But it would be interesting to see them as survivors, though. I mean, (Spoiler for anyone who hasn't played the game) I'm not really sure how Monika could work as either role, considering she's self-aware she's in a video game; but I'd still really like to see her.
There's also the fact that since they're, well, anime characters, Behavior would have to design 3-D models for them. Which would either look really cool or downright bizarre.

I don’t mind the idea, but (and we’re gonna head into SPOILERS here) it would be difficult to do a killer whose power was to ######### with the game itself.

I think it wouldn't work.
Turning Monika into a generic slasher villain that would fit into DbD kinda completely misses the point of DDLC and what makes the game unsettling.
And making a Monika that's accurate to the experience of DDLC in DbD would be impossible. Like, even if the devs were willing and capable of performing the kind of mechanical overhauls necessary to do it, it would go against what makes DbD work.

Now that I think about it, a cool anime killer for this game would be “Perfect Blue” and have the killer’s identity only visible at certain times, and the survivor be the main character from the movie. It’s hard to explain without spoilers, and even as someone who doesn’t really watch anime anymore, I still think it’s a really excellent horror movie. So, go watch that if you haven’t seen it and you’ll understand what I mean by the killer.

This game has a ton of chapters but not one literary killer. As a big champion of the arts I have to say I'm kind of surprised by that.
That said Monika just realizes she's stuck in a game and wants to get out. She'd fit more as a survivor with her theme (but get zero altruism emblem if you catch my meaning). The other girls are just video game characters in that universe. Monika self actualizes and it causes the games events. That's why nobody else agrees with the idea. None of the literary girls are malicious despite the dark tones.
A killer that works out of a book and warps the Entity's reality to his own will might be cool though kind of building off the DDLC idea. Right click and the killer scribbles in his book and blocks a doorway or vault, or heck just puts a wall in the middle of nowhere. Alternate ability is firing a barrage of quills shotgun style from his book. M1 is a big slap with an elephantine grimoire. If you're feeling really fancy another alternate ability could be conjuring slow moving yet ricocheting projectiles. L T walls would be really dangerous.
I dunno. There's a lot they could do. It'd be cool to have another talking killer doing that. "Interesting." "I see." "How did that work out for you." "Maybe you should have stayed inside and studied." "How dare you slam that...argh." "Insolent..." etc.
Edit: Mori could be shrinking you down to a few inches tall, picking the survivor up and looking them over in disgust before dropping them in the book and closing it with a snap.

Have you ever seen DBD mods? Some of them feature anime characters and actually look neat. I won't link anything here as I think it's against the forum rules, but search it for yourself.
