Seems the enemy now knows about this Behavior I do want to say nothing but respect and props to the dev's if the information Choy has been given from these groups happens to be true. I wouldn't see a reason for said groups to be lying about a ban wave; hopefully this solves the subtle cheater issue, at least for now. Good luck in this war Behavior o7

The problem is they gave the game away for free on epic games and people made thousands of accounts to cheat on so no matter how often you ban them, they will return eventually.

It's a start it will hurt those who subtle cheat for sure but there's still a long path ahead but at least it's confirmed Behavior is tackling these things head on and it wasn't too long ago they did a ban wave so to see it becoming more consistent is a good sign.

This is really nice news. I actually spent the time to report a hacker yesterday from console, I'm so fed up with it. A Feng Min was teleporting away each time I got close enough to down her. It took me about 30 - 45 minutes to record the video, cut it, report in-game, and then do the follow-up report on BHVR's website.

I checked the Steam charts for this and the last 30 days people were like why did we lose 2,543.3 players all of them were possibly hackers

They update periodically after 30 days but seeing as how we don't know for sure when this ban wave took place I'd assume that loss of players could be cheaters.

Wasn’t that already possible with family sharing on Steam? Or does the main account also get banned if your second account was reported/banned?

A ban that hits a family shared account also hits the main account.

Steam charts are hourly. You can view by hour if you filter down to the 48 hour period for instance.

Yeah, but they count the number of people playing. If an account got zap this month the chart won't refect that player loss until next month.

The 30-day running average is updated on the fly, not once a month. (You can see it changing day to day.)

Just saying if an active account is ban, that isn't subtracted from the player statistics at that point in time but needs to be aged out.

You're right. UE is notorious for being hackable and programmers can find a workaround for every patch a company puts out. It's up to the company to keep up with patching and banning. I doubt this will be the end of ban waves from BHVR. It's going to be an ongoing thing.

I dont think this matters too much. You can get the game on Key-Websites for a few bucks. If I would get DBD right now, I would pay 4 Euros for it. And would have a few days or weeks to mess with the game.

Wouldn’t be surprised if that’s what the intention was. Makes isolating cheats easier which in return give them more information on how to detect problems in the future more efficiently. People that were caught cheating on a free account are far less likely to submit tickets/complaints if they get banned which is strategically plausible. MMR/SBMM is also a potentially useful trap because if a certain percent of people have obtained absurdly high ratings they’ve already mark themselves with suspicion.
People that will likely feel a ban the most will be the ones caught cheating on their main account and don’t have a legitimate backup plan.
