what are the weaknesses of ghostface that make him low tier?
i bought him today and have been having fun with him. had 0ks and 4ks and in between, just like my other killers except for pig which is a celebration if you get 2ks lmao.
hes commonly ranked as a low tier killer but he seems pretty nice to me(im mid mmr probably, not high)
you can run around with no radius(from what i understand) and there doesnt seem to be much if any of a speed decrease while stealthed and his mark and reveal abilities is rather powerful if the cards are played right. i thought revealing was bad and it can be but it tells you where nearby survs are which i consider basically a passive perk. his add ons seem decent and i think his perk Im all ears and thrilling tremors are very cool perks.
no, he doesnt have chase power but chasing with no terror radius is rather nice.
So what makes him considered a weak killer?

Trapper without traps 90% of the time.

He has no real chase power. SWF can call out your location on comms. Add-ons are bad for the most part (changing soon). Pretty map dependent since huge open maps like Blood Lodge really mess him up
Spine chill hurts him the most of any stealth killer, making perfectly executed ambush almost impossible on those players
He is OK against solo Q and average loopers. SWF and good loopers will ruin him

oh ok gotcha, i hadnt met any swf teams of high caliber yet, but its approaching evening for me so im guessing the misery is about to begin lol

Yeah, as it stands, if you are not often full stalking into instadowns he is strictly worse than wraith. Maybe it will change once his rework actually hits. Make sure to run some sort of tracking perks on him since you need to get the drop on people, otherwise just running up to them with wraith would have been better

Chase potential is limited to mindgames
Though on the plus side he can teabag a survivor to death

Does he have mobility? no. Immediately not a high tier killer.
Does he have a readily available one-shot ability? No.
Does he have a ranged tool? No.
Does he have innate slowdown on his kit? No.
Does he have counterplay baked into his kit? Yes.
Does his ability get neutered via comms? Yes.
He is low tier.

He's a M1 killer reliant on maps with LoS blockers and has no way to end loops faster once a survivor reaches a loop.
Your options are to 99% stalk and pop when the survivor is out of position for a quick down or to try and do a hit and run approach, but of the stealth killers in the game Ghostface is easily the worst at hit and run due to his lack of mobility and his stealth having a cooldown.
On a favorable map he can be a lot of fun assuming the survivors aren't on comms and can give away where you are to the others. But there are simply just better killers who can either stealth or instant down survivors.

He can be robbed of his power by survivors, when the reveal mechanic actually works. Any killer who's power can be stolen like that is weak.

Dont forget his stealth barely works since they gave him flappy bird sounds when he's close to you. AKA the pig tiger roar treatment.

interesting. ive not had any troubles so far today.
its felt today that hes really good as he essentially is like having almost constant oblivious with potential exposed value. i guess im just lucky enough that my games today have been mostly against fun teams and not sweaty teams. Ill enjoy it while it lasts i suppose. what is the rework they are doing?

Don't let that stop you from enjoying them. I play weaker killers a lot myself and while it can be rough, it doesn't matter in the end.
I would rather play who I want to than strictly better killers just because they are... better.

Seems like people would rather whine about everything then enjoy the game. makes me wonder why they even play. I get there are issues but does it really have to be constant negativity lol
