The pip system
So, they need to fix the way they rank because it is so stupid if you go against a bad killer and destroy them and the match is like less than 10 min YOU LOSE A PIP. Also, you should get more points for running the killer, this is not even a joke 80% of my games I spawn right next to the killer and I always end up being the runner and I can’t do gens and I’m the only reason they can do them and then when the game ends I get like 15,00 bps and no rank up which is so stupid because it takes no skill to do gens but it takes a lot to run but NO THE GEN JOCKY GETS MORE BPS, I’ve used the shroud offering that spawns you AS FAR AWAY FROM THE KILLER AS POSSILE AND IM STILL THE FIRST ONE TO BE CHASED HOW AM I SUPPOSE TO PIP UP IF I CANT DO GENS.

no they're not. it's happened to me.
I have a friend that all they do is run killer and they pretty much double pip every game. They cry and whine about cheating every time they get hit it's actually annoying as hell, they hit iri one inside of 2 weeks and still get mad about dying.

Basically, they hide until someone gets chased.
For whatever reason they think avoiding the killer is the objective when dbd is a game of distraction..
But mmr/skill > rank/experience right bhvr 🤦

Same can be said about killers killing too fast. In order to pip once you need at least 8 hooks (and 2 kills).

The pip system is just based on time played, ask any developer or content creator and they will tell you. Just play longer and you will pip.

For me the problem opposite, I can't be chased because forced to do gens, usually my solo teammates want to be chased and nobody want to touch any gen so I have to do because they won't.
And you get really pathetic amount of BP for doing gens, like 1 gen=1250 points....
It's not rare for me to solo 3 gens

This is wrong. You can also depip while escaping. This happens when the Killer is a facecamper or straight up afk.
IMO an escape should always grant a Blackpip (and a 4K should always grant a Blackpip as well, but from what I know, the only way to depip during a 4K as Killer is when you kill all Survivors with a Tombstone and never hook any of them).

If grades are to represent time played, depipping is an obsolete mechanic. Just like degrading has been prevented.
The minimum result should always be a black pip, for both roles.
That would make the system and its goals consistent, avoiding abuses (for example afk farming).

Since grades have nothing to do with match making and only represent time played they should remove the negative pips. Only have black pip, +1 pip, and +2 pip.

we shouldn't depip if it time played yet we depip hell we shouldn't even safety pip we should pip 1 time for every match or at least when we 4k or escape.

What I been noticing as of late, in order for me to pip, I need to do at least 1-2 gens solo, break 1-2 dull totems get at least 2 saves and get chased by the killer for a bit. But I also notice that the match need to last around 5-6 minutes to get at least 1 pip. If you do all that while not getting downed at all and the match lasting more than 5 minutes and escape, you might get 2 pips. But this also depend what grade you're at. It's hard to get a pip in iridescent grade than ash, in my opinion.

I made a post about removing depiping, and when you look at the forums, it is full of people saying the same thing.
You simply should get 0, 1, or 2 pips per game. There should no longer be -1 pips.
It's like it forces me to play a certain way to make sure I can secure at least a 0 pip. I will hide until the killer is chasing someone else at the start of the game. Maybe you would argue I should do that, but if I knew I would never lose a pip, I would probably just start working on a gen instead of making sure I am not the first one chased.
