Matchmaking is broken!

There is definitely an issue going on with the current MMR. I played survivor all day cause I wanna reach iri1 (soloq only).

I kept getting decent teammates and killers all day long until 8pm CEST then it starts going downhill fast. My teammates are WAY below mine and the killers skill level. Which results in:

A) I am the only one doing gens

B) If I get hooked, no one will come unhook

C) I have to go for every single unhook

D) My teammates are legit just slow walking across the map, cleansing dull totems, opening chests and hiding for NO reason at all

This ######### is getting frustrating REALLY fast. I wouldnt even mind if the killer were trash as well but I keep getting full slowdown Blights and Nurses. Also the queue takes FOREVER after ~8pm just for me to get 3 people as teammates who have NO CLUE what they are doing.

I actually did that for 1 game but I didn't even pip from that ######### and also I don't like letting my team die so I can escape. I just want to get people in my soloq who actually want to play the damn game!

Until 8pm? Sounds like people who have other things in life going on are getting on, which means there is a chance more experienced killers are jumping on as well...

Things get a bit squiffy in the evenings - what I mostly think is happening is that there are a lot more queue dodges happening, and these games are always krangled.

I started dodging 'ready' lobbies, and my games have been pretty even for the most part since.

That said - yeah, solo queue is a particular sort of hell at times.

Same happened to me. After 8pm it was a sh*tshow.

    • Loaded in with a 3 man SWF- I was putting my dog out so I didn't notice until it was too late. They all had HEX: *witty thing* in their names. ALL running No Mither.
    • ALL 100% incompetent.
    • They died in the first 5 minutes. I maxed out hook saves on them- literally never touched a generator because I was just running back and fourth rescuing. At the end, Freddy found the hatch and I just stood and waited for him.
    • By 10 pm I just logged out. It's pointless with such crap team mates and so many face camping Killer. It;s Saturday, so I have to wonder if the 13 year olds are playing.

It's been like this since before MMR was a thing. It sounds like it's different for your region, but there's a block of time when you will get good teammates, and times when you will get a mix of good and bad, and sometimes just bad. It also doesn't help that it's a weekend when a lot of casuals come out to play.

Yeah, Behavior said that they just did matchmaking fixes to create more balance and variety in players’ matches but that is completely lies. All the matches I’ve been getting are completely unbalanced and there is absolutely no difference I’ve seen in the before and after these so-called matchmaking “fixes”. No wonder the game is dying.

I'm getting all sweat squads tonight. I'm done early.

I agree the MMR is completely screwed. My experience has been a bit different as my killer games have been about 95% unplayable due to much higher experience SWF squads. I have noticed problems very similar to what you described on survivor as well, though. The only thing I can think of is that the MMR changes weren't made for us- they were made for the high MMR players who didn't want to play with each other anymore.

From my perspective it has been way worse since the "fixes."

There's almost no point in playing solo survivor after 8 pm if you're a player who tries to escape and play well. Matchmaking is basically turned off at those hours. "You have 4k hours? Here's a teammate who doesn't look behind them and doesn't have 4 perks equipped! This is fun variety, right?!?!?!?!"

Agreed. The skill gap between X number-350 is way too wide to be enjoyable.

The last game I played before I had enough of playing survivor for good yesterday was against a Pinhead.

Game starts, I did a gen, finished it, realized no one would go for the box, so I go for the box, killer ports to me. I start leading him on a solid THREE minutes chase (he was not very good with his chains and tried to use them way too often which allowed me to switch between loops easily)

When he finally downed and hooked me, it was still 4 gens left! No one was working on a gen, the box had spawned again and chain hunt was going yet no one was going for it! No one was doing gens, everyone was just rp walking across the map.

Killer didn't camp and went for someone else. Even after he hit someone else, NO ONE came to unhook me. I died on my 1st hook...

After that I just switched to killer. It was a mixed bag but still did beat my soloq experience. At least I was able to finally play the game some...

It absolutely is and tbh you shouldn't expect any fix for it.
