######### has happened to MMR!?
I understand that the MMR is essentially a joke and will never work as we all want it fine I can handle that, but why the hell am I, a player with 1200 hours and pretty good at the game, being matched with a minimum of 2 players with under 200/300 hours EVERY GAME!?
I have played about 25 games today and every match 2 survs have been under 200/300 hours and the killer ranges between 600 and 100 hours.
Even the old red rank system wasn't this messed up. I would rather no MMR at this point, at least I might have a chance to be matched with equal skill players then.

I personally am scouting the forums and leaving some feedback on MMR before going on an extended break. I have 15 hours in the game since the MMR changes and I can count on 1 hand how many games have had more then 2 gens completed before everyone is dead. I can also count on 1 hand how many times I've escaped.
It's hard to keep playing when every match is so broken.

New players do not simply start at 0 and work their way up. They start in the lower middle.
Getting matched with them will make it harder for you to escape, further dropping your rating, keeping you stuck with them. If you don't carry them out the gate then you're lucky to get hatch and tread water to keep your rating where it is.

I don't think this is true for survivors. I played one game on my killer only account yesterday as surv and everyone was new.
I also went afk a few times on my surv only account as killer and went against full purple perked teams.
I think someone should test this properly so we have some data.

Perhaps because your play style has put you in with those of those hours.

This has been happening to me a lot too.
1,500 hours or so here. Rank 1 killer back with the old emblems.
Getting paired against one or two survivors that run in straight lines and feed me hooks.
As survivor - I'm pretty average - sometimes I go up against killers so new that they rage DC as they fumble to get a single down, or I go up against a sweaty killer that I'm ill prepared to deal with.
Dont know what went down, but it looks like something got switched around lately. But it's just my experience, could just be a hiccup.

1k hours doesn't actually mean that much if you've been crutching on meta builds.

I mean mmr will never work unless the maps always had the same amount of pallets in the same spots. You can't make an effective MMR system when more than half the game is RNG.

If the devs want the coveted 2k/2e on average, they need to lob less experienced survivors into trials with more experienced ones so that non Nurse/Blight killers have a chance of hooking someone before the EGC timer is up.

I think the system can work well with more tweaking. I say this because there were some tests that worked out well. I waited longer in queue, but at least there were some recognizable names in my lobby. Right now, it seems like they're prioritizing queue times for survivor because I get matches very quickly. This is with crossplay on and off, and a few hours before/during/after prime time. I don't know how they match players with others, but I'm guessing right now the crossover zone is too broad. I'd like to see them restrict it more.
As killer, it's a joke. I hardly feel resistance. Maybe 1 in 6 matches, and that pressure is mostly felt by some SWFs. Otherwise, I'll get maybe 2 good players and 2 bad players.
At the same time, it could be the new tome release that's ######### everything up. Who knows?
