The Ringu and Pinhead
Okay so 2 questions in one:
why didn’t the ringu get a map when she launched like some of the other killers?
and why don’t people play as pinhead? I’ve never played against him

Good question on the 1st. Pinhead is my main and the devs did do a great job in capturing his power to an extent but you have to run a really oppressive build for you to be effective. I just block all the gens.

Most likely for Ringu, they were still developing the Haddonfield Update or there wasn't a great location that could be used for a map. I'm not very well versed in the movie, so I couldn't tell you if there absolutely was or wasn't.
As for Pinhead, 2 reasons, he's kind of a hard killer to play. Aiming his possessed chain is hard to do and takes more practice than a lot of people are willing to give. Also, the NFT controversy and the voice removal. I won't go into details about the NFT thing, if your interested there are plenty of people on YouTube that can explain. The voice thing, probably left people thinking they were falsely advised about all that would be apart of him. He got those lines back, but the damage was done.

First question: Maybe a license issue or simply they didn't want to.
Second question: Pinhead is awful, his power is hard to use and you get a small reward. He feels even worse to use than pre-buffed clown. Now, being serious, his chains can be broken easily by the environment, pinhead himself and even other survivors. Chains are hard to land. The Lament Confifguration passive is too passive, hardly it comes into play and if it does, it doesn't feel as threatening as before, same as holding the lament configuration, now you can bypass the Lament Configuration's chain and fix a gen if you want to, because it's annoying, not threatening. Also, teleporting is something that could work if spamming wasn't a thing.

For Sadako, the answer probably has to do with the fact they licensed the book rather the Japanese films directly.
Pinhead gets play, but not a lot of play. He's hard to use with a steep learning curve to their power and is maybe a bit too dependent on having his best in slot addons to compete with the current state of the game.

The way I’ve never heard of NFTs. I just watched some videos on it tho. Thanks for the info

Hmm.
- No idea, but not all new killers get a map. Maps are probably the most resource intensive thing to make, and they yield no sales.
- I see the odd Cenobite - he's definitely more common than Twins (well, before this tome), Hag, Plague and Demo. He's just very tricky to play well, has something of an undercooked active power (likely due to how strong his passive can be) and is also one of the killers that survivors hate playing against, and will often DC/suicide early,

1. Pinhead also didn't get a map. Which is a shame, since all killers deserve their own map.
2. He is a m1 killer to begin with, with a power that might slow him down more that a survivor. Experienced survivors know how and when to trigger his box. Which renders his secondary completely useless.
His high kill rate seems to come from the fact that so many survivors disconnect or suicide against him. While he isn't really a strong killer.
