The auto aim is bad
Why does it make you stop when a survivor wiggles in your view as your lunging, it literally messes with the auto aim and it makes you lunge shorter than you should.
I tried it out myself, on average I get about 3 successful auto aim misses if they lunge.

Best part is when you are near some object or pallet and you swing and you are aiming (even with your camera) on that Survivor and you have that feeling it should hit but for some reason you hit that pallet or object you didn't even aim for or look at.

Best thing when another surv is near even a downed one and your the game suddenly decides wich target you should swing for

Automiss is ridiculous. How many times a clean hit has bounced of "air". How many times have I been turned in a wall while looking straight.
The day they disable that crap, my kill rate will increase slightly (or at least my kills will be faster).

No joke, when I was chasing a survivor as tier 3 myers and they ran towards the survivor who was just getting sacrificed, my lunge literally auto-aimed at their flying corpse, like are you serious? It almost screwed me over lmao.

I lunged one time and I ended up spinning to hit the Claudette I didn't see hiding in the bush.

Yeah i remember just basically m1'ing near a survivor mid sacrifice animation and no joke it pulled my camera up to them when they weren't even near me.

They need to make it an option to toggle along with a cross hair option since I heard they were okay with that as well.

There is an option for aim assist in the engine ini file but turning it false seems to have done nothing for the past years ive had it false.

Interesting. Have you checked that it still indeed reads false? Did you set it to read-only? Want to go try this.

Huh, just checked and mine was already set to false, but I definitely get autoaimed all the freaking time. This seems like an actual bug then.

I'd really love to see a test where aim dressing is disabled, similar to the Bloodlust test. Right now, it feels like it causes more harm than good, and having that confirmed or denied would be nice- I'm willing to stomach the few missed-hits I get if the game genuinely is worse without it, but I'm sceptical that's the case.

Unfortunately you can't do that on console. But it would be nice if the devs just implemented the option since it seems available in the .ini file.
