Good perks for Legion after the recent update?

So I'm relatively new to playing killer but I do have some teachables (mainly nurse, doc, pig, and clown) and was wanting to play Legion since the recent update happened. I know thana is a must due to Legion's power but I was experimenting with a few ideas for them. I was thinking something like thana, nurse's, sloppy (?), and ruin/discordance. I've seen some other forums and discussions from before the update that pretty much said that sloppy is more or less garbage on Legion (not exactly sure how/why since the recent buff) so I'm wondering if there is something better/different that would synergize well with Legion's power. I know bamboozle might be a good chase perk along with I'm all ears or PWYF but I wonder if there is something better. Thanks in advance!

Thana is best perk for Legion. You should use one anti-chase perks for Legion because they have not any chase power, i am suggesting Bamboozle. BBQ is also good on them and plus it gives you more BP. And use one of slow-down perks (Corrupt, Ruin, Pop etc.)

How does plaything work for Legion? I know it's a hex but what's your experience like with it?

in combi with Penti, the idea is to force the servs to destroy totems

So from what I'm gathering is that you're not really intending on getting plaything value but to force them to do bones? I know how pentimento works once you're able to start setting it up, just curious on the main idea with plaything lol

ok you have to hook survs in the early game and hit, this should not be a problem with legion with corrupt.

1 / 2 hooks early = 1 / 2 survs with oblivious, they can life with or destroy the totem (because its a Hex the need 24 sec's to set up a boon)

tana + 33% penti i think is a good slow down

I'm using the build tru3 does and having a blast with it. No gen defence except corrupt tho but you brute force through pretty much every loop and eat those pallets for lunch.

    Depends.

If you want go "Anti-bullying" Legion then you go with ir button/Julie's mixtape and for perks you should get Enduring/Spirit fury/Bamboozle and last perk isn't as important I think... You can watch some Tru3's videos, because that's his fav build for Legion at the moment.

FarmerJohn for instance is using "No DH" build. Never sleep pills/Legion button and for perks you go Enduring/Blood echo/Mindbreaker and Bamboozle which basicaly erases Dead Hard from the match.

For me works combination of Never sleep pills/Mural sketch with Bamboozle/Corrupt intervention/Thrilling tremors/Thanatophobia. It gives you consistent chain hits (sometimes even 5 hit chains), some gen control with Corrupt and Thrilling tremors that also gives you information on which gen they are working on when you pick up survivor and Thana is there to slow down everything, so you have some breathing room.

Would pain resonance be a good perk to switch with tremors since they more or less do the same thing?

So, the interesting thing about Legion is that nearly every perk in the game can work on them. STBFL, mid chase info, and Exposed perks aren't particularly useful for them... but just about anything else is.

Post chase info (BBQ, Infectious, Thrilling Tremors), Slowdown, chase perks (endfury, Brutal Strength, Bamboozle, Blood Pact, PWYF, Coup De Grace), and even Stealth (controlled stealth though like Trail of Torment) can literally all work on them. They are incredibly flexible. A lot of making a build for Legion comes down to what you personally need help with.

No which is exactly what you want it to do. Frenzy is already gonna get injuries all over the place, and that fact allows you to get people on the floor with every coup stack.

I run SF, Enduring, Surge and Spies from the Shadows

Thana, contrary to what people might believe, is not very good on Legion, yes you can the full effect of it decently easy but it's main value is making survivors waste time healing, which a group of smart survivors will not do against Legion, they will just rush the gens and ignore healing unless they are sure they can get away with it

If you are going to run a slowdown perk, run either Surge since you will be getting mostly m1 downs, Pop, Pain Res, or Ruin

Iridescent IV using only legion. I stopped once I reached Iridescent IV.

bbq, thana, pain resonance, corrupt. missing perks: pop, bamboozle

more important than the perks are his addons: never-sleep pills, and fuming mix tape.

bbq is just used to get more bloodpoints, to get as many black ward offerings as possible (protection against the loss of your addons)

when I get Bamboozle I will remove thana to see how that goes.

I personally run Spirit Fury, Enduring, Coup de Grâce, and Blood Warden.

For me, Spirit Fury + Enduring is a must-have on Legion. Basically the only counter to Feral Frenzy is to stun the Legion with a pallet, and this perk combo completely stops that. Sometimes you might even get a double hit — enter Frenzy, don't respect the pallet, hit the survivor, get stunned, Spirit Fury activates, hit the survivor again. It makes for some easy downs. You can also use Julie's Mixtape (and possibly Iridescent Button) to make it even more un-counterable.

I love to use Coup de Grâce as well. Legion is great at getting people injured, but has no real chase power beyond that. Coup de Grâce fixes this, giving you an extra edge in chases. And since the perk only activates on basic attacks, you can freely lunge in your Frenzy without wasting stacks!

Finally, there's Blood Warden. Now, you can use a gen regression perk instead of this, but I personally feel like that's a bit of a waste with Coup. I'd rather have everyone injured at the end (which is easy with Legion), use my big lunge to get some downs, and stop the survivors from escaping with Blood Warden.

Another build I surprisingly like is Stealth Legion — Trail of Torment, Dark Devotion, Hex: The Third Seal, Hex: Plaything, and whatever indoor map offering you want. Now, I'll tell you right away: this is NOT A GOOD BUILD. The detection part of the Legion's power is based on your Terror Radius, meaning it doesn't detect survivors if they're Oblivious or you're Undetectable.

However, decent survivors don't expect you to use stealth perks, for the reasons I just mentioned, so with the right map you might actually get some sort of value from them. It's not a common occurrence, but sometimes the element of surprise can really get you the win.

Have you tried using the addons to increase killer instinct range with stealth perks?

  • steponmeadiris

No, but I don't believe that would make a difference. Perks/add-ons to increase Terror Radius have no effect when Undetectable.

Thana is good but it's boring.

    Fearmonget is spicy

Unless I'm massively misremembering I'm pretty sure I've gotten killer instinct while undetectable using them before the recent buff. I'm not currently at home but I can test that tomorrow.

Here's a sleeper hit perk that many might not realise

    Lethal Pursuer Legion.

Sometimes survivors spawn clustered together and with Legion's buff - this can turn into 3 injuries and a down very quickly. One of Legion's biggest flaws is when survivors realise it's a legion and spread themselves out but if you know where all of them are before they know it's a legion you can capitalise on this.

Here's an example - I played a match today with this perk on Legion and I saw that the 4 survivors were spawned somewhat close. Not right next to one another but I estimated they were all within frenzy distance and like I mentioned - it turned into 3 quick injuries and a down all within a few seconds of the trial starting.

And if none of the above happens, be it due to bad spawns, maps and so on then lethal will work as it does for most of the other killers - a better early game. Using lethal to maximise early game damage is amazing and I implore you to try it out!

Usually I run a combination of

Lethal + Pain Res + Deadlock + No Way out - This is my standard legion build, I use this when I'm playing to win. I find it's a pretty consistant build with good early game potential, great midgame slowdown and an emergency endgame perk to fallback on

However it gets boring running the same 4 perks so sometimes I swap my build around

Sometimes I run Lethal + Pain res + Surge/Jolt and Enduring. A weaker endgame but two decent gen perks and a good chase perk.

I'm still experimenting with lethal, but it's def better than corrupt on legion - corrupt makes survivors spread out at the start which as Legion you certainly don't want.

I feel like it might be overkill/lacking but I kinda like the idea of Pain res + jolt + deadlock + lethal with stylish sunglasses/stab wounds study + etched ruler/joey's mixtape would be kinda fun to play with. If you end up trying this build please let me know how it worked out for you, I would love outside input lol.

I'm pretty sure it cancels out killer instinct, I checked another discussion and it pretty much says that it makes you lose killer instinct.
