Except that tbagging has no real effect on the gameplay, unlike bubbas facecamping.

Just had a camping Bubba tonight! Haven't actually seen one in awhile. I was solo and figured the first person on hook would sacrifice themselves but they didn't and we smashed the gens. I got downed with NOED after the last gen popped and was camped, and thankfully the last two survivors opened the gate and left. He still got 2k but I did lead him on a decent chase and no one validated his strategy, so i was content.

From time to time, a survivor tries this when he doesn't like the killer, the pressure, the difficulty, ...
I don't appreciate condemning one's team, as survivor and a killer.
I usually make him taste the ground for a while. Sometimes I let the others get points healing him to compensate the handicap they've got. At the very least I make sure the next time he'd rather play normally or straight-up DC.
Play the game, endeavor to do better, or help the team escape, swap hook, punish the killer by pressuring the gens, ... Don't take the easy way out.

Address a killer being able to stand still in front of a hooked survivor for a guaranteed kill, with zero counter play.
And no, they shouldn’t. It’s a feature built into the game itself, with accompanying perks and offerings. Thought you might already know this after over 11,200 posts on the forums. If people can’t kill themself on the hook, they’ll either just eat the DC penalty anyways, AFK, or ultimately.. go play another game altogether.

They did address it, Patrick has said in one of the dev commentaries that he likes basement Bubba.

Basement Bubba is already not playing the game, so I highly doubt this is going to change his mind.

You have to understand, that camping is a intended game mechanic from the beginning of the game. Bubba perfectioned it and the counter is to do gens. Does it suck for the person on the hook who might not escape? Sure! But at least that person can buy the rest of the team some precious time to finish all gens, which might you buy a chance to get a rescue.
Disconnecting or suiciding in protest won´t lead anywhere except more salt.

The anger caused by a bubba facecamping is justified to an extent. The inability to play a game for enjoyment would anger most people. You comparing the anger caused by tbagging and the anger caused by being unable to play the game is incomparable.

It's not upto players to 'discourage' Bubbas from facecamping, it's upto BHVR to finally fix things so a Bubba can't completely negate unhooking by simply standing still next to a hook.

The best solution to bubba facecamping is not playing with him. 4 survs running towards him and letting him kill all of them at first hook. In 2 weeks he would uninstall the game

If the down, hook and camp happen at the beginning of the match everyone should just leave. 3 players holding m1 while the other 2 are doing nothing is literally pointless, why would anyone waste their time.
It's not about winning, it's about having fun and playing the game normally.
I am sure most of the players would prefer a back and forth match where every second matters and the tide can turn in anyone's favor at any moment than trying to win against a camping Bubba.
Last night me and my friends facing one, he started camping the 2nd hook while we were at 3 gens. We were ''smart enough'' to finish the other 3 and just leave and even though it was 3e the match was just boring for me outside the first chase I had, and I would have preferred for all of us to die if it meant everyone was chased

Getting successful skillchecks on hook is still playing the game. It's not that different than sitting on a gen doing skill-checks.

I'll sit on the hook the whole time then disconnect at the last possible second to deny them of as many points and potentially the face mask as well (main Claudette). You could give me a 48 ban and I'd still do it.

He is going to get the 4K anyways because as soon as one is gone he will do the same to someone else. Then they tend to slug and leave people down as soon as the gens get to two to go. This is a weak argument for something that BHVR need to address.

Camping bubba's aren't playing the game, so neither will I. Let them get a 4k, who cares. Their MMR will go up and get progressively harder matches, until the mythical 4 man swf depip squads put him in his place. Or he will get bored of matches that end with suicides, dc's and pleas for farming.
By staying in the match long, I make it more competitive. He gets rewarded for this with potentially slower MMR climb, and or nail biting finishes for a 2k. Either way, those matches will encourage him to continue doing it more than some notch on his basement bedpost for another 4k.

If the survivor holds, gens can fly. Besides, it's not impossible to save a camped hook from Bubba, it takes a bit of skill and knowing the killer though. Granted, it usually ends up as a hook swap but then the survivors have even more time to finish and leave.
Oh, sure, it's only a variant of play AFK after all.
I wonder how many kills I'll get if I play a camping Bubba tonight, with NOED of course. Although, since I'm usually against good players they will probably get the save and I'll get 1k at most. Still, an interesting experiment.

really can you blame them? dev need to give people a reason stay on hook all match like I don't know survivor on the hook get points for every gen done when your on hook.
I mean come on being camped is boring and we get nothing out of it other then knowing we help you (random team)get points and win yeah for you/team.

countless players have gotten unhooks against Bubba, including basement unhooks.

If you are good at bubba, Paired with Deadlock , you should be able to get a 2k.

I know a build using Deadlock that's just evil and should almost guarantee a 3k or a 4k against most teams.
I don't plan to use that though. I'd rather do a "basic" Bubba play where survivors stand a chance. (Still playing like an ass)

Actually, it's a pretty good comparison. Facecamping Bubba is actually furthering the game's objectives while teabagging is just trying to upset someone.
In terms of motives, some of the time facecamping Bubba is to collect salt and most of the time a teabagger is doing it is to collect salt.
Honestly, I think the teabagger is the worse of the two. When I get facecamped, and I do hold out so my team has a better chance to escape, the killer may be doing it because they feel it's their only way to get a kill, they might be new to DbD, etc.
A teabagger mostly does it just to ruin somebody's fun with the only reward for them being ruining someone's fun. There is no gain other than that. That's what makes it a worse behaviour than someone trying to get a kill but struggling with game mechanics which is something nobody but BHVR has any control over.

I'll hang on if I see my team mates are on gens. But if they're wandering around doing nothing, or all crouched nearby just watching the Bubba camp and making no attempts to save, then I'll just die. Games like that are a waste of time.

Facecamping bubba takes away someones ability to play the game at all so it's worser than teabagging and clicking that is what annoying? But you can still play and facecamping bubba does not do it for to get a kill. He does it for salt or he just trolls. Or other option he is just lazy and want to chill

The devs really shouldn't make it that easy for killers to win games by camping.

If facecamping Bubba is doing it to get kills than, yes, teabagging is worse. If it's just to collect salt then it's on the same level but camping to acheive something in the game is much better than just trying to bother someone. If you teabag you have no right to complain about facecampers because you're just as bad and possibly worse.

As others have said, most basement camping Bubbas are doing so to purposely cause grief and irritation for the survivors in the match. The problem is that it mostly punishes Solo Q. It's not SWF where it can be called out on comms "Just do gens". In most scenarios, You get 3 blind/clueless Solo team mates all dive-bombing the basement giving him multiple hooks, and feeding him what he wants.
So no, I'll kill myself on the hook. Screw it. That will at least tell the team mates he was camping and what kind of arse they're dealing with. I get one day a week to sit on my ass, relax and try to forget my stress. I'm not spending it staring into the face of some immature idiot.
In the end, those Killers get really low bloodpoints (tho they usually don't care- their purpose is to annoy. Nothing more). The survivors get crap blood points. They're ruining the match and wasting everyone's time. This also goes back to the daft matchmaking system where kills = skill regardless of how you got them. It just rewards poor behaviour.
Sometimes, if I see my team mates on gens and aware of the situation, I'll hang in there. But if BHVR REALLY has no intention to do a damn thing about these "legitimate strategies", then at the very least they should award blood points to the hooked survivor. As of now, there is absolutely no incentive for Solo Q randos to stick around. I'm not sure why this is such a difficult concept for BHVR to grasp. But I'm sure Feng Min needs a new hat that is of much more importance lol.

Like I said camping is much more worse takes someone ability to play at all I don't feel bad for teabagging or clicking at the killers face because usually he deserves that. But when I camp and tunnel as killer I feel bad so it's much worser for either side but sometimes you gotta do those to get 4K.

Regardless of what players should or should not do (in theory yes, they should buy you time) It's Behaviour's fault for not fixing something that has been an issue since release. So any consequence (suicides, DCs...) it's on them.

In theory I agree with you. In practice my experiences as a survivor main are that the issue in this situation is generally not the person on the hook. It's almost always the survivors that aren't on the hook. While one person is on the hook being camped you have at least 2 if not all 3 other survivors crouch walking near the hook just waiting for an opportunity to run in and perform an unsafe hook rescue. I am more than happy to wait on a hook as long as I possibly can against a camping killer to let other survivors have time to do gens. However, if they are all going to sneak around the hook hoping for an opportunity to pull me off I will go ahead and kill myself on the hook. It is of no benefit to me or them to sit there while they do nothing but sneak around. Call me callous, but if the other survivors on my team don't want to play intelligently I have zero problem killing myself on that hook and letting them pay for playing stupidly.

No because DBD for survivors is a team game, if you act selfish in a team game not only you screwing yourself, but you're also screwing other 3 people that wanted to play healthy match. So stop being either selfish or start running SWF / meta perks in order to not get camped.
