Toxic map offering? Facecamp
Tell me I am wrong.
Meta survivors sending me to garbage maps every game then crying they lost.
I can only reiterate the statement, ggez

Jesus, you just decided they weren't allowed to play the game. 6K blood? How much game time did that poor Survivor get?
19 -
Wait, so offerings are toxic now? They should put a label on those xD.
33 -
To be fair they allways been like this for years. If one side sends you to garbage map than you are of course not happy and expect the worst.
Imo you shouldn't waste time facecamping someone just for offering. You also might just camp the wrong guy and let the "offender" with that offering free escape.

Map offerings are annoying, but they're not toxic - that's entirely on how players behave and why they're doing it.
Ormond's not even that bad... can't say I mind it as long as I'm not a stealth killer. The Game, Badham, and RPD offerings are when you know you're in for a rough time. The medkits here are steep, but you have Franklins to deal with them. Two of those survivors aren't running exhaustion perks, only one has BT, and there's several wasted perk slots here because there's too many CoHs to need and Shadow Step is a dead perk on Ormond. Doesn't look like the worst lobby you could get.

You really have a problem in this game, man. Every time I read you, it's to highlight your deliberately toxic behavior or to spit on everything survivors do.
Seriously, maybe the guy just wanted to play on a map he likes ? Like... Like in any game ? Damn, I sometimes use Ormond, Midwich, Glenvale, RCPD or Eyrie offerings because I just like the aesthetics of these maps and when I can't randomly come across them. Not because I want bully the killer.
Seriously, you should consider changing the game. And God grant I never end up playing with you.
23 -
I mean with an ormond offering they knew exaclty how bad that map is for killer. If he didn't tunnel or camp he would have most likely gotten no kills.
3 -
I'm kinda curious, what makes Ormond such a bad map? I kinda like it and tend to do decently there.
6 -
looks like another fun day in playing dead by daylight both sides
this game bring the worst out of people I tell you what.....
5 -
Insane gen spread, still very generous pallet spawns and main building.
7 -
The way people use the term "toxic" on this forum confuses me
17 -
They got to play the game though.
2 -
That's one gentle way to handle it.

If you call Ormond toxic, you have a problem with A LOT of Maps. Since the Rework Ormond is not really a problem at all.
EDIT: And: Yes, you were wrong.
10 -
"Toxic" in DBD basically means: Anything a person does not like. It has lost all meaning over the years, basically everything is toxic now.
17 -
the general mindset is resumed in that phrase: you aren't allowed to tunneling and camping and/or use strong addons/perks, but they can genrush, use offerings for nasty maps, using the same meta perks and eventually use broken items... just a normal day on dbd, move on...
4 -
They don't really deserve any.
BHVR need to get rid of map offerings because their map designer is so awful that some of them offer way to much of an advantage.
2 -
Disagree. There are things that are toxic. For example, when survivors spawn on the map. That's objectively ######### toxic.
8 -
Nemesis? You were going to camp regardless. 🙄
16 -
Nah, usually what someone considers a survivor sided map, someone else considers killer sided and bice versa, and depends on the killer.
Play the map, doesn't matter if it was random or an offering. You don't know their intentions.
Wait until they actually start playing toxic, then adapt.
6 -
Map Offerings are toxic?
2 -
Nothing says punishing swf like facecamping what could plausibly be entirely solo teams for one rando deciding to use a map offering.
10 -
All this tells me is that my game should crash whenever there's a map offering. Solo survivor sucks enough.
DbD is going to become a bigger and bigger lobby sim.
5 -
Ormond is a great map. It's not big, it's not full of a pallets and chained safe loops.
Not sure why you'd consider it a toxic map. Not when Game, Rpd and to a lesser extent crows, exist.
2 -
I want to say I don't like what you did but I have to say they should just get rid of map offerings. We have maps that are better for killer and maps that are better for survs so just get rid of the offerings and let Lady luck decide what you get
1 -
Every map offering deserves sweat.
It only sucks when I play solo and get the spice instead of the map offering user. But what can you do
4 -
While I totally believe map offerings should either be retired or reversed (so using one makes you not go to that map), calling them toxic just grinds away some of the last meaning the term is desperately holding onto.
1 -
Sure, get mad that someone put in a map offering that somehow offends your sensitive sensibilities.
Then be even more toxic and camp the guy that probably had nothing to do with it.
You shouldn't be a killer if a map offering touches you off.
You're far too delicate.
9 -
Not going to that realm, thats a brilliant idea.
4 -
I facecamp without a reason, because I can!
1 -
The lengths some of yall go to in order to defend toxic behavior that has no defense.
Someone played a map offering to go to a map they like (that isn't even all that unbalanced) and your response is "I'm gOinG tO mAke SuRe thEIr gaMe iS mIseRaBle bCuZ I hAte iT....."
You and OP need to grow up
12 -
I didn’t know using the Ormond offering because I’m tired of the same dark maps over and over and wanting to give my old eyes a break from the poor contrast of certain maps is considered toxic.
7 -
Delete the game if you get butthurt by a map offering
12 -
Another Openx being toxic post. What's new with this kid.
14 -
He is butthurt cause he has no friends to SWF with so he is "punishing" solo players - makes sense right? Right?!
7 -
I mean if I'm gonna have a miserable time because the survivors chose the map that is unbalanced and you can't change that fact then yes if they don't want to have fun then neither will I. Either way face camping isn't toxic but the motive might be.
Also I don't see what's so immature about not wanting to play an unbalanced map but hey I guess taking the smart approach is immature nowadays. Why try when I know for a fact that by the time the first chase ends through 10 pallets that 4 gens will be done and if I leave chase the same thing will happen. And I can't split pressure because the map has a ridiculous gen spread.
2 -
Post number 798979798 misusing the word toxic
3 -
You don't need a justification to facecamp. Just as map offerings are part of the game so is facecamping.
That neither of those are fun, yet very effective, is a fault of the gamedesign.

If that's how OP wants to play then fine there's nothing wrong with it but if you fail you shouldn't be talking trash and if the survivors all escape on you and say "GGez" then you deserve it after trying to flat out ruin the game over a map offering when you as a killer have the exact same ability to play a map offering or a sacrificial ward and a OP build , the idea that people should weaken a build or not play a map to feel better about what the other side thinks is just crazy and you should run a OP build if you want to and if you don't feel like it then don't, I hate how I 4k survivors or I escape a killer and the first thing in the chat is some excuse about why I won even if it makes zero sense it's like their brain just flies out the window after a loss when in reality it was just a bad play and you could possibly beat me the next time we run into each other because that's how DBD works. It's like a fist fight, just because you come out on top once doesn't mean the same guy won't catch you off guard and work your head in for you the next time.

Well you're playing nemesis who's just as unfun to go against
1 -
something something survivor rule book

This is coming from the basement Bubba, lol

Modern Dbd mindset

Or, you know, they could have had a challenge where they needed to fall from a great height or something. You don't always know why someone brings an offering, stop assuming.
4 -
keep up the good work
0 -
I mean... look at their builds and how they responded. I highly doubt they had a challenge to fall from a great height while in chase. Even then there's no map thats exactly better for challenges other than gideons for drop pallets in chase/stun killers.

This same thing happened to me the other day. The killer was as toxic as they possibly could be to everyone and at the end of the match they said it was because of the map offering. I don't know why they would prefer a random map over a map offering given the random map could be one they don't like too. Killers can also play map offerings.
0 -
Everything you said there is wrong. None of what you listed is good game play on either side. With the exception of genrush which isn't a survivor issue it's a bad killer issue or inexperienced killer issue. 5 generators needed and 4 survivors. If every survivor worked on one gen and you as a killer allow 4 to be completed, you need more practice. But very rarely do individual survivors work on 4 different gens. And nasty maps? Didn't realize that's a thing. I like some maps better than others and prefer outdoor maps over indoor. And meta perks? Killers have way more meta perks than a survivor does. The killer starts out mostly overpowered. Add a perk and damn.

The poor guy who ruins his match because he had the misfortune to want to have a little fun on this game. Imagine if we did the same when someone offers a circuit that we don't like in Mario Kart.
The mentality of some players would make psychologists happy, I'm sure.
5 -
Too much, you should see ME work. 6k is what my second victim earns, ayy.
1 -
I mean if i see a map offering i know the survivors are sending me somewhere they know they have an edge over me or good for their build or for boons. I play little dirtier as well.
I've been send to RPD few times and yes i will tunnel you out of the game. I'm not going to be playing nice if im being sent somewhere they know they can abuse for their fun. I'll get my own fun by playing little nastier too.
