Challenge: Propose One & Solve One
Choose a monster/villain who isn't in DBD, and issue a challenge for someone to make an in-game build for them.
If Nobody can make a build after asking for more details and if you can make a build, you win.
If you can't make a build and someone else makes one first, they win.
What do you win, you ask?
You'll get to play as a character who isn't DBD. or, a rough cosplay, at least.
I'll keep track of the already chosen monsters/villains here:
- Grandma from "Merge Mansion"
- The Babadook
- Jack the Ripper
- Terry Akers (Soma)
- Headless Horseman
- The Trunchbull
- Cruella De Vil
- Medieval Inquisitor
- The Tall Man
- Victor Crowley (From Hatchet)
I'd love to hear feedback! Also, please consider trying the builds and letting me know how they go!
Oh, and feel free to answer each other's build requests! Let's keep this discussion going for a while!

The merge mansion Grandma

uhh... that's a tougher one.
I can't find an MO, powers, or anything like that.
A quick wiki scan shows that she's evasive and a bit shady, but I couldn't find anything else.
Can you help me out?
This video makes me think hag or doctor, though.
This makes me think stealth perks.
definitely insidious.

She has a lot of knifes, and the power to merge 2 things into something bigger
"So many knifes, So little time"
She owns a secret Mansion with alot of Secretive Family History
Someone in her family is Alive that everyone thinks is dead.
this was kind of a joke but honestly want to see what you got

doesn't take a lot of guesswork to know who i'm gonna ask for but uhh
terry akers from soma
of all the monsters in the game, he has the most to work with for this kind of thing i think

Soma is a masterpiece.

What's your idea for a Babadook build?
0 -

cruella de vil

Power: Onryo/Freddy (addons should focus on teleportation) - MO of teleportation and appearing out of nowhere, as well as tormenting people.
Dark Devotion -for the book
Discordance - For driving people away from each other.
Pain Resonance/Blood Echo - since Bab's powered by pain and denial.
Fearmonger/mindbreaker - pretty self-explanatory.
1 -
The Trunchbull.
1 -
Nemi - similar infection theme and zombies. (addons focused on zombies and/or parasites)
Tinkerer - the dude was a genius
I'm All Ears - Superhearing
Claustrophobia - Soma's set in confined spaces, unless I'm mistaken.
Call of Brine/Merciless Storm - Water theme.
1 -
Spirit -a chopped up ghost. nuff said (Any addons)
Haunted Ground - ghost.
Undying - a bit on the nose.
Zanshin Tactics - Tactical and smart
Sloppy Butcher - known for being ferocious.
1 -
Got to be a chocolate cake in her power
0 -
PH - (focus on debuff inflicting addons) Tormenting's a theme for sure, and cages of atonement are reminiscent of the chokey.
Iron Maiden - obviously.
Forced Penance - vindictive and cruel.
Claustrophobia - again, see chokey.
Brutal Strength - very, very strong.
And you have to bring an anniversary cake or party streamers.
1 -
That would be an Ultra Rare add-on.
0 -
An Inquisitor from Medieval times?
0 -
Doc - manipulative focused on hallucinatory docs and range enhancers
Third Seal - hiding stuff
Insidious - Clearly hiding stuff (bonus points if you pretend to be a hallucination ingame)
Crowd Control - trickery
Blood Favour - shady stuff + knives.
0 -
Cenobite (Chain hunt addons)- torment's his game. (PH is another option)
Trail of Torment - torment is in the name, and a stealthy approach would help an inquisitor hunt for people.
Gift of Pain - I feel like I don't need to explain this.
Pain Resonance - getting info out of people and punishing compassion.
BBQ & Chilli - to get information out of people
1 -
Jack the Ripper from assassins creed syndicate, always thought this would be a dope killer or skin for legion or something
0 -
Dr. Evil from Austin Powers
1 -
Victor Crowley. If you can't get Jason get Kane Hodder.
0 -
Waltz from Dying Light 2?
0 -
(Sorry, only just saw this a few minutes ago)
Leatherface - (Any addons) - the skinning stuff connection
Rancor - really, really angry, all the time.
Sloppy Butcher - Trying to skin animals.
Knockout - Suggests chloroform as a method of knocking out the puppies.
Nemesis - Spiteful
0 -
Go for it. Cause I can't think of anything lol
0 -
Legion - (debuff addons, especially oblivious) - since you insisted, but it also ties into his agility and tracking.
Infectious Fright - making people freak out
Trail of Torment - stealth
Brutal Strength - Super strong.
DMS/Tinkerer - Smart and rich, wouldn't be a stretch to rig up the gens somehow in advance.
0 -
who is this?
0 -
It's the Tall-Man from the movie Phantasm
0 -
I'll watch this and get back to you.

I can't find any sort of MO.
due to the virus connection, maybe Plague with a plaything centric build?
0 -
Onryo (TV debuff addons) - teleportation and telekinesis. (Demo's another candidate)
Dragon's Grip - knowledge of alchemy
Mindbreaker - messing with people.
Hysteria - Drawing on the dream control connection to freddy.
Oppression - a bit more mapwide pressure to reference control over minions.
0 -
Damn.
I don't think that kind of evil can be captured in just 4 perks and a power. (:P)
Wanna take a swing at it?
0 -
hell yeah, personally i'd swap tinkerer for whispers since terry's connection to the wau is a lot like killer's connection to the entity
and soma does have a lot of confined spaces, particularly the areas where terry is found so that fits really well
1 -
Sweet!
Will you try out the build and let me know how it goes?
1 -
sure, sounds like a pretty fun build

Dr. Evil - The Mastermind
Primary Power: Ray Gun- After standing still and charging for 1.5 seconds fire a ray beam at the target location. Just before the beam is activated (.4 seconds) a loud sound effect is triggered. The beam has a range of 8m. If a survivor is hit directly they are put into the wounded state. If a pallet, vault, locker, chest, or totem is hit it is effected by radiation for 45 seconds. Interacting with the object triggers radiation sickness which causes the survivor to take a full damage state after 60 seconds. Survivors may cleanse radiation at any locker via an antidote and animation (3 sec). Has a cooldown of 20 seconds upon usage in a chase and can be canceled up to 1 sec in the animation.
Secondary Power: Mastermind of Evil - Interact with a uncompleted generator for one second to activate. Upon activation trigger the following effects for 90 seconds. Can only be active on two generators at any given time, 40 second cooldown per generator upon expiration.
- Summon a henchperson (similar to zombies) to guard the generator. The henchperson will guard the generator, interfering with any survivors that come within 16m of the generator and chasing the survivor up to 40m away from the generator. Any survivor that comes within range of the generator will trigger the henchperson. The henchperson will yell triggering a noise effect and attempt to throw a bola at the survivor. If the bola connects the survivor will be immobile for 5 seconds and the henchperson will despawn (exit the map via chest or locker).
- Regression speed is boosted by 100%.
- If the generator is interacted with while the henchperson still exists the henchperson will go for a damaging hit instead of the bola on the survivor who interacted with the generator.
- Henchpersons move at 4.4m/s.
Perk 1 - One Million Dollars - You have the finest generators money can buy. At 50% progress survivors will need to acquire a discombobulator to continue repairs. A discombobulator will spawn on the ground 32m away from the generator and the aura can be seen by the survivor when they are within 8m. Attaching the discombobulator to the generator will trigger a loud sound effect and cause any nearby survivor who is not the one who attached the discombobulator to scream. Repair speed is reduced by 10%.
Perk 2 - Scourge Hook: Some Quiet Please - After placing a survivor on a scourge hook, that survivor will suffer from Deafness (heavily muted sound effects from all nearby sources, TR can still be heard) and blindness until they unhook another survivor.
Perk 3 - Number Two - All objects in the trial have a new interactable action in addition to any current interactable action if they have one. Upon interacting with any object (totems, deployed/undeployed pallets, vaults, gens, chests, etc...) that object will emit a fluctuating terror radius for 40 seconds. Survivors who are within 6m of this object have their auras revealed.

Billy - (Any addons) Accounts for his speed, instadowns, and the chainsaw 6:30 in. Also visually similar.
Sloppy Butcher - I don't think you'll need an explanation here.
Crowd Control - there's always one left behind.
Plaything - those people were super oblivious.
Enduring - Crowley's basically invulnerable.
0 -
Esther from Orphan. Great fit for DbD imo.
0 -
Artist - (Hands + Feather/other) - The art connection and control.
Eruption/Plaything - Setting traps and being manipulative.
Dark Devotion/Pentimento - Shifting blame and hiding true nature.
Thrilling Tremors - calm, cool and composed
Huntress Lullaby - musical skill

So after a few matches, I think I can say this is a pretty great build. I ran it with Mikhail's Eye and the Admin Wristband, the eye fitting since you find Terry's torn-out eyes in SOMA, and the admin wristband being fairly similar to the blackboxes every employee on Pathos-II was fitted with.
Claustrophobia and Merciless Storm synergize with Tinkerer, being able to sneak up on a gen allows you to take more advantage of 2 perks that are otherwise fairly hard to get good use of. I'm All Ears works really well for tentacle mindgames at windows. Running it with zombie-related add-ons actually helps the build too, increased speed and detection range can get them to approach gens being worked on or affected by Merciless Storm, and Claustrophobia can also aid zombies if you're able to corner a survivor in some areas. The build really shines on indoor maps, but worked pretty well outside of them too.

That's awesome!
I'll have to try it out too!

Twins/Hag (bonus points for rusty shackles on hag) - Similar vibe and visuals.
Enduring - basically invulnerable.
Hoarder - protecting her mother's remains (Coffin = chest).
Franklin's demise - super strength
Brutal Strength/Fire up - super strength
