The hands of fate drive us ever forward toward our salvation or our demise.

New Killer: The Weaver

Gender: Female

Nationality: Egyptian

Weapon: Razor Sharp Scissors

Terror Radius: 24m

Speed: 4.4m/s

Tall

Power: Tangled Threads

Tangle the fates of all in your path. Let their screams of pain be a reminder that fate is not on their side.

Special Ability: String of Destiny

Press and hold the power button to lock onto the closest survivor in your line of sight. Release the power button once locked on to launch an invisible string to the survivor Marking them. Once two survivors have been Marked they become Bound. There can only be one set of Bound survivors at anytime.

If a Bound survivor is injured, the other Bound survivor is injured as well. If a Bound survivor is healed, the other Bound survivor is also healed. Once one Bound survivor is hooked, both Bound survivors lose the Bound status.

Special Ability: Cut the Cord

Press and hold the power button when the maximum number of Bound survivors is created to sever the Bound connection. Both Bound survivors reveal there locations with a loud noise notification.

Everybody For Themselves: While 32/24/16 meters away from other survivors you gain 8% repair speed bonus when not using a toolbox and now have a 33% chance of unhooking yourself.

Broken Promise: If another survivor is injured by any means within 8 meters of you Broken Promise activates. You gain 10% haste for 3 seconds. This perk then goes on cooldown for 50/40/30 seconds.

Out Of Sight: After coming out of a locker you leave no scratch marks and your aura is hidden for 10/20/30 seconds. Lockers make no noise when you enter or exit slowly.

(Turned this post into a full chapter and made some edits to the killers Perks. Might come up with backstorys for the killer and survivor next or think of a map. Any feedback is appreciated.)

Thank you to RAKNIEBORAKYT for arranging the add-ons more appealingly.

Ok, the power you made is actually creative. I love it, although it needs to be tested obviously.

I'd love to see some power trivia so that i could visualise how the power actually works, restrictions the killer faces, other counters survs can use. It's only my request.

I didn't read the addons cuz it's hard a bit to read. Here is your list of addons that I improved for you so that it can me fairly readable:

    Add-ons

    common (brown)

    • Increase the time it takes to Lock-On to a survivor by 50%. Increase the amount of bloodpoints you earn in the Devious category by 100 points.
    • Bound survivors suffer from the Blindness Status Effect for 60 seconds after becoming Bound.
    • Locking On to a survivor decreases the movement speed penalty by 50%.
    • Cut the Cord reveals the location of the survivor for 3 extra seconds.

    uncommon (yellow)

    • Bound survivors suffer from the Oblivious status effect for 60 seconds after being Bound.
    • Decrease the Lock On time by 30%.
    • Survivors who are Bound that are healed pass the Bound status off to a survivor that begins healing them.
    • Bound Survivors that heal any survivor who is not Bound pass the Bound status to them.
    • Cut the Cord causes all survivors within 8 meters of Bound survivors to reveal their location.

    Rare (green)

    • Bound survivors suffer from the Mangled Status Effect when injured.
    • Bound survivors suffer from the Hemorrhage Status Effect when injured.
    • After Locking On to a second survivor reveal the aura of all Bound survivors for 5 seconds.
    • Cut the Cord causes Bound survivors to gain the Oblivious Status Effect for 60 seconds.
    • Downing one Bound survivor inflicts the Incapacitated Status Effect to the other for 16 seconds.

    very rare (purple)

    • If one Bound survivor suffers any status effect, the other Bound survivor with suffer it as well.
    • Bound survivors no longer heal when another Bound survivor is healed.
    • After Downing a Bound survivor, the other Bound survivor is inflicted with a Deep Wound.
    • Survivors who are not Bound suffer from the Hindered status effect for 10 seconds after healing a Bound survivor.

    ultra rare (pink)

    • Bound survivors cannot heal other Bound survivors or work on the same generator as other Bound survivors.
    • Cut the Cord causes two random survivors to become Bound.

    Perks:

Hex: Morbid Curiosity: Idea is cool, as for the hex perk. What could be the hindered penalty?

Sealed Fate: Sounds interesting. Although 'any survivor' is not that necessary here. Just the surv who healed the obssession is ok enough.

Count Down: I think 300 seconds is a lot. And here, I'd just go with retribution and haunted ground. I get the same effects. The mix-up is nice, but I'd change the 300 seconds for sth else.

That is a cool power! I wonder if it would need a cooldown or minimum meter range before binding the second one?

Or is it intended to punish players who are grouping up?

Thanks for making all the Add-Ons more clear to read. Did all this on mobile so it's harder to change font and stuff.

Keep in mind, I'm not a game designer, these numbers are just off the top of my head on what sounds fun, viable, and or fair.

As for specifics on the power, the Lock On would be kind of like Ghostface's stalk, but breaking line of sight will slowly decrease the "Bind" meter. Probably anyone within 25m you can Lock On to and it would take 30 seconds until fully Bound if the survivor just stands there. Priority would be the closest survivor, like I said, you can only Lock On to one survivor at a time. It would slow you down to 105% speed while Locking On as well. Also, you can't Lock On to a survivor that is already Bound.

As for Perks, Hex: Morbid Curiosity would probably be a 9% Hindered penalty. Just enough to be able to leave a TR, but still enough to catch up to survivors after hitting one (Unless you're up against a Double Calm Add-On Doctor, in which case, good luck.)

I should probably elaborate on Sealed Fate. The idea was supposed to be like an reverse "For the People", but the obvious counter to it would be for the Obsession to just heal themselves. It would be situational either way, but your way does sound more fair.

Finally the idea behind Count Down is that it would be kind of a midgame perk. 300 seconds is 5 minutes and the average match should last between 12 to 18 minutes (grain of salt, that's just what the first result on google says and it's sourced from this forum.) It would just be a reliable perk that goes off and makes the game more exciting for a short period.

Sorry if this was long, I tend to ramble a bit.

I have more specific info in a comment to someone else.

I don't see how it would punish survivors who group up given you can only Lock On to one survivor at a time. Potentially one counter to this power is survivors taking turns being the closest to the killer in order to prevent the build up of the Lock On.

I guess if there is an intention it would be a sort of long term payoff snowballing killer.

An ideal situation would be Locking On to one survivor, breaking away from chase to find another, Lock On to them, Bind complete, hit, hit, hook or risk cutting the cord to find the other injured survivor, hit, hook, hook.
