Wraith got shadow nerfed :(
Basically, when cloaking, he only starts cloaking once the progress bar has filled completely. He used to start cloaking around the 25% mark of the meter and then be fully cloaked at 100%.
At about the 80% ish mark only the wraiths knees and below were visible, meaning that if there was a loop a survivor could see over but was also quite tall you could cloak to 80% of the bar, double back, and get the hit if the survivor kept running. Kinda similar to onryos flickers.
Once again, now he only starts cloaking after the bar has filled completely so you cant cancel it.
It was quite hard to pull off consistently and it made wraiths skill ceiling much higher (which is a good thing).
@MandyTalk is this change intended and is it going to stay? This was one of my favourite things to do on wraith.

Just make it so that his attacks can't injure survivors. My poor baby getting stomped into the ground for no good reason. I get it, he is strong against new players, I don't care, he is worthless in anything mid-high tier, stop picking on him already.

Remember they shadow nerfed "Shadow dance" not that long ago to make it stop working with lockers despite the add-on saying it does...
And the devs wonder why Players(Especially killer players) don't trust them...

Mandy was on here trying to gaslight the shadow dance description as a bug. I think she's a decent PR person but that was super scummy. You dont write a description and program an attendant function into the game as a bug.

Yeah I'm usually skeptical of calling shadow nerf on things but that was really weird when bhvr were saying that it had never even said that in the addon description even though I was pretty certain it did. Just searched for old videos where people might've used it and shown the description by searching "pallet kicker wraith" and it's right there

Like most "Shadow Nerfs" this is most likely a bug. I'd open a report.

The thing is though is that there's no clear indicator that its a bug. It's just not how it used to be before the update.
Hopefully a dev of some sort can clear this up.

I really hope this is a bug and if not it's a really dumb change. Wraith is a mid-tier killer that can get stomped by large maps and high MMR players. He doesn't need any more nerfs.

If something changes and it doesn't appear in the patch notes, I'd assume it's a bug. There's really no logical reason for the devs to Shadow Nerf things when people are going to figure it out anyway, it just creates unnecessary anger.

Normally I would agree but considering they changed Shadow Dance the same way and then claim it never worked that way despite evidence showing it did doesn't help put trust that it's just a bug.

To be fair, while I'm sure Mandy has leeway in how she goes about communicating with the community, if her bosses are telling her to do something, like gaslight about a perk description, she really doesn't have a choice.

May not be God and master but the boss does sign the pay check. I am not super knowledgeable in PR situations, but I would argue that any spokesman or company representative in any industry will bend the truth or outright lie.
Mandy seems to be alright and so I will give her the benefit of the doubt. To do her job I'm sure she has a huge list of things she has to push and probably most important for her, not allowed to discuss.
I choose to not blame the messenger until such time that she proves to me she is deserving of blame.
