I thought it was going to be a lot of characters. I was going to go for Cheryl (obviously) but it's only four, and all Killers.
I'm wondering if, due to the low character count compared to DBD, if it's just going to be a one-off joke game that's like $15 *at most.*
Hopefully it's more expensive and is high quality, but I can appreciate it as a "joke game" if that's what they are intending.

I don't think any licenses will come in, and if there will be survivors I bet there going to be side characters. Dlc hopefully in the future if it's good enough. I'm a sucker for dating Sims.

Only 4 characters and all of them killers. And it will be only on Steam so most likely picking noone lol

Licenses are most definetely not coming, especially Freddy (just think about why he got burned by the parents in the first instance and imagine the PR disaster it could be if someone decides to make a fuss about it), Pinhead (BDSM undertones) and Myers.
Maybe Jigsaw and Ghostface since their holders seem to be the most willing to release stuff and colaborate with BHVR for mutual benefit, especially Ghostface because the character is BHVR made and the mask is the only thing licensed but still is a long shot.

I wonder if anyone has any cameos in the game. My choice goes to Trapper but you know would be cool to see Mcote in the game as a cameo. Not saying I would take him if he was a fifth hidden easter egg character but

Love to see deathslinger get some love. They wanted to pick characters with some tragedy in their story and few killers went through more torment and pain than him

first character i'm gonna go through is Huntress. If they add DLC characters to romance a couple ideas I have are Deathslinger as the rebel type and Nurse as the shy and selfless, overly caring type (she works in medicine...)

I am fully expecting, if the game does well, that BHVR will do a part 2 or a DLC. They don't really have a reason NOT to, unless they're making a different game with their characters.

I'm down for Legion and Plague, the rebels and the sickly waif, but would Legion be just like Frank or Susie, or would you be romancing all of them at once? You'd definitely end up joining the Legion, which would be pretty sweet.

It wouldn't surprise me if it's free. The only other game the dev has made is Colonel Sanders, which was basically a meme advertisement for KFC which was also free on steam. I imagine this will be similar and explains the low amount of characters.
